Modern (Re) Take on: Life after Life

SLM @JavaLatte
Do you love your Creator?
Yes (unquestionably)!
Utmost Love of G-D is crucial.
I think that Allah can hate if He wills, nothing can stop Him from doing what He wills.
I (strongly) disagree!
Indeed, our Superior/Master () is capable of doing whatever He wills ... But,
since 'His Will' does NEVER contravene/violate ANY of His Magnificent AttributeS ,
ALLH does not hate ].When condemning someone's behaviour, the Qurnic locution used is (always) ALLH does not love
Point being that
Not loving (x) hating (x).Be sound.

Peace brother hicham.
May I know where do you learn that Allah does not hate?
How do you know?
Whether "hate" is something wrong? Something bad?
I suppose it depends on "what we hate".
Please read and ponder verse 4010 and 613, and perhaps you could share what you think about those verses.
I don't understand why it seems there are people who think that "hate" is negative.
I personally think that there's nothing wrong with "hating the unrighteous things".
I even think that people who say that they "do not hate" could be dishonest with that claim, because their mouth can say that, but their other talks could show otherwise, it seems there are times when they actually show their hate toward something/certain thing. That's my opinion.
Btw, is there anyone who can show me the verse of the Qur'an which mention that hate is a sin?
To my knowledge, Allah never forbade me to hate evil things.
Peace.

SLM @JavaLatte
I was expecting 9468 or 17387 as counterargument !
Anyway, I shall reply in full tomorrow (G-D willing) - Now, i'm (in bed) about to sleep ...Zzzz

It is clear to me we will be summoned and there will a life after this life.
Indeed, we will be summoned. For me, that's Allah's promise.
I am among those who have faith in the Day of Judgement. I am waiting for that.
I think the Lord does not create us for making a game, He is serious, and He has purpose for us.

@ hicham9
Have a good rest, brother.
Peace.
Yes (unquestionably)!
Utmost Love of G-D is crucial.
Wonderful and heartwarming. I'm glad to know that. Praise be to Allah.
May Allah make you closer to Him, and please be careful with satan.
It is sooo beautiful when people have love for Allah and fear of Allah.

Perhaps it is good to separate hate as in strong dislike and hate as in rampant hatred in fury and aggression. Dislike is just an opinion, but emotional hate which is reflected in emotional reactions driven by biological hormones is simply detrimental for the spiritual condition.
Be well

The evidence of "God's existence" is within the existence itself.
Religious people think that there are one (or more) human like deity sitting in heaven above the cloud who looked down below to earth and manage everything like a human king.
And now people is trying to find an evidence of such "human like deity".. which of course they cannot find because the idea by itself is preposterous.
Human now have received a revelation that "distance" (read space) and "time" is correlated and both are actually a "creation".
Perhaps the 'infinite' is the true realm of existence that nobody cannot escape.
As "Limitation of space and limitation of time" by itself is a creation. Thus the "afterlife" can also actually be a "before life"...
All religion is now dying..
Agree..
All religion is now dying..
Christianity is dead in a region (i.e. Europe) were education is strong while Christianity is growing in countries with a terrible Human Index Development. This includes parts of Africa and entire South-Asia. Science > Christianity. Western missionaries realize the fact that nobody in the West buys their bullshit anymore so they turn to countries in Africa and South-Asia to convert those who lack critical thinking, ethics and morals. Some Western missionaries modernise their own religion because they know how stupid their religion is in reality. This is a way to gain more converts. As for Islam I believe that Islam is going to die in the Middle-east and spread to South-Asia like Communism died in Russia and spred to China. Sure Islam might die in South-Asia later on once they have a better education which will take years as they are living under dictators and poverty. Religious people like to argue that many are converting to their religion but they don't realize that many who are converting live in countries with terrible critical thinking, education, morals and ethics. It could be argued that there is a strong correlation between the amount of converting and the education in those countries. The Arab world really need to dump those sheikhs and moronic religious people that do nothing but pull the Arab countries towards square one again. Once oil-money stops flowing to a bunch of moronic Europeans, South-Asia and religion, the Arab world will kick arse in terms of contributions. Steve Job was a Syrian Arab. The Westerners will no longer be able to 'brag' about their contributions most of whom they did not contribute by themselves. Seriously the Arab countries should do themselves a favour and bann the religious missionaries that only comes to plague the Arab world. Sadly we have one of those oldest churches and synagouges there is no doubt that these will attract religious nutjobs across the world whether it be from Europe or South-Asia. These religious nutjobs need to be put a on a banlist. Ban the Saudi regime along with the Grand Mufti of Saudi-Arabia that has only turned Saudi-Arabia into hell. People like Richard Dawkins should be invited to the Arab countries. Imagine this; removing every religious nutjob (Islamists/Pro-Israels) and replacing them with scientists. Putting European asshats on a list (especially the religious ones/right-wingers) and establishing a democracy will allow us to progress further. Religious schools need to be banned as they are completely moronic and a waiste of time. Instead let secular schools replace them whether religious people like it or not. Secular schools teaches to rely on evidence and encourages doubting, hence they improve critical-thinking. It is one route to knowledge rather than indoctrination.
The reason why religions are dying is because they contradict science, ethics and morals. Religion is a complete joke. Some religion like for example the South-Asian religions do not even dare to mention anything scientific because they know that their religion will get their arse kicked by science. Christianity tried and it failed miserably regardless of how many times people try to reinterpret the verses. However just because science contradicts religion, it does not mean it contradicts God letalone an afterlife. I don't talk about this because I don't want to sugarcoat God or faith. However I believe that science will never be able to prove the existance of God. Science tells us how a coff? machine works but it does not tell us who built this coff? machine. This is a terrible example but you probaly understand. What mostly bothers me is when you try to research God and you come across Christian websites. It's truly disturbing. I'm trying to get peoples perspective on God without involving religion especially Christianity. As somebody that was born and grew up in the West I can see how easily it is to doubt religion. You don't need to know science to even do that. You grow up in a region whom ethics and morals are perfect. When you research this religion, you'll be able to tell that this religion has the ethics and morals of a carpet (basically it's too primitive) and therefor the conclusion on its God being false can be drawn. It is one of the reasons to why Christianity is dying in Europe.
Religion must not be given attention letalone funds. I would rather want my country take part of NASA and explore space than to still waiste more millions of dollars on traditions and religion. To find others outside Earth is unlikely as we are not that technologically advanced yet and what we might likely to find are microorganisms (e.g bacteria) but who cares? It is still a huge discovery. Unlike the Danish Gods or the South-Asian Gods, bacteria actually exists. This is coming from somebody who considers himself a Muslim by tradition but then I think all religions are a joke. My grandfather on my mother's side was an Imam who owned a mosque in Syria, in Yarmouk which was named after his last-name (Al-Rafaie).

Peace brother hicham.
Salute, my sister.
May I know where do you learn that Allah does not hate?
I know that ALLH does not "hate," because
to my knowledge, ALLH is inherently Good!See Omnibenevolence.
How do you know whether "hate" is something wrong, something bad?
P1 Negative emotions are, by definition, harmful feelings .
P2 Hatred is a harmful feeling.
Therefore, hatred is a negative emotion.
& since The Omnibenevolent ONE is Impassible &c., "feeling hatred " is out of the question!
I suppose it depends on "what we hate".
Actually, it depends on what G-D dislikes (for us).
In the Qurn, G-D never dislikes a specified person/or thing .
What G-D dislikes (for us) is 'negative behaviour'E.g. in 587, G-D states
CU ... and transgress not, for G-D loves not the transgressorsInstead of saying "G-D hates the transgressors" , G-D used the locution 'loves not' which I (properly) understand as G-D dislikes/condemns the vicious act of transgression.
Thus (to me)
-
G-D does not hate.
-
Not loving (x) hating (x).
-
IF we forsake Vice, we earn G-D's love/affection .
Please read and ponder verse 4010 and 613, and perhaps you could share what you think about those verses.
QA mqt (ت denoting 'hatred' is (clearly) not what the Author intended ...
The closest term to 'hate' you'll find in the Qurn is krh (to dislike) .
Only once does G-D use the locution where, as far as context is concerned, it can NEVER mean 'G-D hated'.
As for mkrh (ه in 1738, it perspicuously means reprehensible, ie. deserving censure or condemnation.
& as usual, G-D is sharing His (perfect/infallible) Judgment/View with us ...I don't understand why it seems there are people who think that "hate" is negative.
I personally think that there's nothing wrong with "hating the unrighteous things".Here, you're confusing 'dislike' with 'hatred' .
I even think that people who say that they "do not hate" could be dishonest with that claim, because their mouth can say that, but their other talks could show otherwise, it seems there are times when they actually show their hate toward something/certain thing. That's my opinion.
Most (if not all) humans experience 'hatred'!
No sane mortal will debate this fact, my sister!
We tend to (irrationally) hate others (for the most shallow of reasons), and even hate ourselves! The Divine One, however, is no "misanthropist/hater"
Btw, is there anyone who can show me the verse of the Qur'an which mention that hated is a sin?
To my knowledge, Allah never forbade me to hate evil things.Last time I checked, G-D doesn't address the "obvious/self-evident"!
Be sound.

Hail Hicham,
We do not agree with each other on the nature of GOD talk, but here you formulate yourself well. Good elaboration.

True, I'm still of the opinion that The Absolute ONE is not a "phenomenon" . Our Superior/Master lit. transcends everything, ergo. naught has a likeness like His ... Nonetheless, I thank you for the kind-hearted word @MOF ~ I am pleased to know that my view (above) resonates with yours, my brother. Hopefully, the same goes for our sister, &c.
Be well, as well.

First, let me tell you brother, that for me hate = strong dislike
If you have different understanding about the word "hate", then I think we better stop discussing this issue.
I know that ALLH does not "hate,"
I think you actually do not know about that, since we don't communicate with Allah like the messengers can communicate with Him.
To be honest, I don't really know about that, but if Allah can hate, then I am not surprise.
And if Allah hates certain things, I don't mind with that at all, inshaAllah.
Also, as I recall, I never read any verse in the Qur'an which tells me that Allah does not hate.
In my opinion, those who "hate the unrighteous things" are good.
P1 Negative emotions are, by definition, harmful feelings .
P2 Hatred is a harmful feeling.
Therefore, hatred is a negative emotion.
I don't believe in that definition.
Here what I think
If I hate satan => that's not negative at all (not harmful)
If I love satan => that's very negative (very harmful)
So, for me, hate is not always negative, and love is not always positive.
Maybe "love and hate" is like "yin and yang".
If God is able to love, then why not if He is able to hate as well?
I feel grateful that I can hate.
Imagine if you can't hate anything...
Perhaps... "to be able to hate" could be a blessing.
In the Qurn, G-D never dislikes a specified person/or thing .
Really??
I think that... if we are honest, then it's pretty clear that what you wrote above is not supported by the Qur'an.
QA mqt () denoting 'hatred' is (clearly) not what the Author intended ...
? ? ?
Sounds like a denial.
Then, according to you, what is intended in those verses by the Author?
Be honest and do not try to cover up the fact.
I am honest in this, inshaAllah
FOR ME, THE QUR'AN INDEED CONTAINS SERIOUS FRIGHTFUL THREATS AND SHOWS STRONG DISLIKE TOWARD THOSE WHO OPPOSE THE CREATOR.
If you ask the opinion of the atheists, then maybe they also agree with me about that.
Maybe that's why there are many people who do not like the Qur'an.
Peace.

Phenomenon
something (such as an interesting fact or event) that can be observed and studied and that typically is unusual or difficult to understand or explain fully
someone or something that is very impressive or popular especially because of an unusual ability or qualityAs for threats and strong dislike, the Quran does not even show half as much threats or hate as the sectarian propagandist versions like to put forth.

Then, according to you, what is intended in those verses by the Author? If someone you know were to actually marry the ex-wife of his own father, would that arouse "HATE" in you !?
Or, say ~ "disgust" e.g.?
Does it smell like incest?

In psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud defined hate as
an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness.
The Penguin Dictionary of Psychology defines hate as
a deep, enduring, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger and hostility towards a person, group or object.
I don't understand why it seems there are people who think that "hate" is negative.
I personally think that there's nothing wrong with "hating the unrighteous things".Here, you're confusing 'dislike' with 'hatred' .
-
Why should I believe in Sigmund Freud's definition??
And I don't want to rely on the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology to define things for me.
And please remember...
If you have different understanding about the word "hate", then I think we better stop discussing this issue.
Hicham, I'm sorry, I think I'm not going to continue this discussion. I don't really see the usefulness to continue something like this.
If we have different opinion in this issue, then, I suppose that's not really a problem for me.
I think it's better if the believers using their time to remind others to remember Allah and to obey Allah, or doing good works, rather than having useless debate among their own.
If you believe in Allah and try your best to obey Him, I think that's enough for me.
And beside, I still have many works to do....
It seems that I don't have much time to go online in these days... ^___^"
Salaam.
-
Hicham, do you realize that it seems you have "hate" toward the hate itself?
You're exaggerating the word "hate", I think that if someone acted evil toward thing he hates, then it means, he is not only feeling hate but he acted unrighteous because of his hate.
My Lord is the Creator. I don't perfectly know about Allah, but I want to obedient to Him, my devotion is for Him, and I want to love Allah for what He is.
I'm not sure whether -for what He is- is grammatically correct.
In Indonesian language, what I mean is "Saya ingin mencintai Allah apa adanya."Btw, I dislike having debate between believers. I dislike what we're doing now. Perhaps I need more patience to stop this.
Maybe you should stop having "hate" toward "hate".
-
I'm not judging Allah, who am I to judge Him.
But, the important thing that I want you (hicham9) to know is
If Allah has hatred towards certain things, then I still acknowledge Him as my Lord, inshaAllah.
Glory be to Allah, my very dear Lord. His love is the greatest love that I received in my life.
