The real courage in this matter might be the sinning involved. I think you all perhaps don't understand how wrong it is to go about convincing people of things which might not be true.
It is better that you say it in a careful way
"There are a group of people who say this" "this is what scientists say" etc, rather than saying "The Earth is Flat!" or any statements like that, or even "The Qur'an says this!" it is better to say "one interpretation of this word might be this because of this and this".

Zeal is also something not taken lightly by GOD.
It is that separate god delusion which causes those problems when you defend the honor of something, but which you would acts differently about if you knew how close GOD is to yourself. It is not like you have to defend GOD because the sin is returned upon whoever committed it of the same magnitude, and then it is good to be without sin oneself.
This flat versus round Earth has gotten the better of us all and we show detrimental behavior several of us and that is counted negatively towards our soul status.
If I was flat earther I would not be so sure about it because it is mainly based on theoretical presumptions.
If I was round earther I would not be 100% sure the Earth is round even if indications seem to favor that it is. If I was 100% I would let those who theorize upon a flat Earth to have their way.
Personally I cannot prove I am not deluded, but based on rational thought I favor the scientific claim of a round Earth. Nothing except these conspiracy theories indicate the Earth is flat and an interpretation of an old book. I hope not to be mocked for believing this way.

Quran is not empirical evidence because you cannot observe whether it is true or not in itself and an interpretation can be wrong and since Quran is over a millennium old its language is prone to decay in its interpretive condition and not to mention malicious or deluded scholars, leaders or clerics who gave their biased thought.
Unless you can observe with the eyes yourself you lack empirical evidence and it is just theses, unless you believe the people who testify having been in space or satellites sending footage back to the Earth.
In the end whether the Earth is flat or round is fairly irrelevant for there are greater things to be concerned about.

Brothers, I am not even sure or absolutely convinced that this whole Universe is Real, when Allah Himself tells me in the Quran on top that it is a mere illusion put together to test me if I believe or not.
Further I spend a good solid 1/3 or more of my life sleeping, dreaming of stuff that on the whole makes little sense, and sometimes, because I suffer from a mental illness, a chemical imbalance the latest in Medicine say, I can't always realise which is true, what I dreamt or what I lived -)

Yeah, I consider it all just information ultimately specific to our own experience, so the Earth or the Universe being this shape or that shape seems kind of the least important thing going on.

Not only that, but when Allah seems repeating in the Quran that as far as we are concerned, what we should be worried about is the after-life, not the one here,

If gravity is so powerful that it can hold the ocean's water then why don't so tiny dust particles suddenly stick to the ground? hmm How do they fly so long before landing on the ground? It should land on the ground as a tiny piece of iron sticks to a huge magnet within no time.

If you are so interested in gravity, maybe you should study Physics, as you need to use tools and experiment to prove or disprove a theory, and the tools are knowledge and apparatus of experimentation.
Otherwise, rely on the "experts" which guys like pazuzu don't trust anymore...
It's like saying you don't trust medicine and doctors, then stop using them, and good luck to you when you need help with your health...
There is a huge difference between theology and practical day to day coping strategies, Allah wants us to be clear about whom the real Boss is, everything else practical, we discover and do as long as He allows us to, within the limits He imposed, and gravity is one of them, since we cannot float naturally, if you disbelieve in gravity, they try floating, LOL! ;-)...
