Brothers, I am not even sure or absolutely convinced that this whole Universe is Real, when Allah Himself tells me in the Quran on top that it is a mere illusion put together to test me if I believe or not.
Further I spend a good solid 1/3 or more of my life sleeping, dreaming of stuff that on the whole makes little sense, and sometimes, because I suffer from a mental illness, a chemical imbalance the latest in Medicine say, I can't always realise which is true, what I dreamt or what I lived -)
So, please...
Which mental illness have you got and what medicines have you tried for it, and what did they do to you in the way of side effects or main effects, and which ones worked or seem to be working?
Yeah, I consider it all just information ultimately specific to our own experience, so the Earth or the Universe being this shape or that shape seems kind of the least important thing going on.

Not only that, but when Allah seems repeating in the Quran that as far as we are concerned, what we should be worried about is the after-life, not the one here,
though we are meant to survive and deal with the issues of our sustenance in parallel as seeking salvation, not as opposed to it.

I was thinking how powerful the gravity is. If gravity is so powerful that it can hold the ocean's water then why don't so tiny dust particles suddenly stick to the ground? hmm How do they fly so long before landing on the ground? It should land on the ground as a tiny piece of iron sticks to a huge magnet within no time.

If gravity is so powerful that it can hold the ocean's water then why don't so tiny dust particles suddenly stick to the ground? hmm How do they fly so long before landing on the ground? If you are so interested in gravity, maybe you should study Physics, as you need to use tools and experiment to prove or disprove a theory, and the tools are knowledge and apparatus of experimentation.
Otherwise, rely on the "experts" which guys like pazuzu don't trust anymore...
It's like saying you don't trust medicine and doctors, then stop using them, and good luck to you when you need help with your health...
There is a huge difference between theology and practical day to day coping strategies, Allah wants us to be clear about whom the real Boss is, everything else practical, we discover and do as long as He allows us to, within the limits He imposed, and gravity is one of them, since we cannot float naturally, if you disbelieve in gravity, they try floating, LOL! ;-)...

OK, so when you have to submit to a surgical operation by a Surgeon, or take medicines prescribed to you by a Med, or rely on any piece of technology, you do have to rely on the expertise of those who do these things, no?
Otherwise, do you leave it to Allah and not use any?
Cause and effect are the means to operate in this world, finding out how they do is our job as humans, Allah ensures it is stable and reliable, and we depend on that, I hope you agree?

What do you mean by professionally, when someone rules out all Science, Engineering, Physics and says point blank that the Earth is Flat, flashes a few quotes from known dodgy characters, and dodgy poor videos and pictures, not even having the humility to say that they might be wrong.
I see here a kind of hatred towards Science and anything that does not conform with an idea someone has settled for into themselves.
If you want humility, then demonstrate some too, it's not just a one way process, I am right, to hell with you so to speak, this is what I get from Flat or Concave Earthers and other conspiracy nuts, who don't even have the credentials of basic knowledge.

I appeal to humility, being humble, not arrogant like Satan.
As I said, Science uses models to explain things, they are not perfect, but they work, if you get a better model, then we use it, but usually, older models do not get put in the bin unless it is really necessary.
On global matters, it is speculation, Flat, Round, Concave, I have ultimately no idea, what I know is that within the model Science community has settled with, the Earth is round, there are planets, the universe is expanding, and it is hypothesised it started with a Big Bang, right or wrong, I personally don't care, I am more bothered with not getting barbecued in Hell, and the Quran is enough to try and avoid that.
Now if I had the means, I would verify this for myself in a big way, and if Allah allows me, I would.

You know for someone who uses the nick of Hezbollah, did you ask permission from the group, or are you an official member, LOL!I respected pazuzu with his work on Yemen which I accepted, so it is a deep shock to me to see him taking on the Flat Earthers concept, because it puts all his effort on Yemen in jeopardy.
I feel for this because I have been advertising his essays on twitter on the matter, and arguing for what he wrote.
There is no way I will do such a thing with Flat Earth because I deeply disagree with it.
I do not act as a groupie to someone, I act on what I figured out for myself, Flat Earth is not convincing to me, and it is too much ridiculed to start evangelising for it, whereas there are more important matters to deal with now on Earth, flat, concave or round.
Waste your time away discussing Flat Earth, and encouraging others believing it, I am not one of them.

I really, really, get angry, and it could be said I HATE people who tell people not to get medical help when they are sick and "rely on Allah" when in many cases THAT IS THE HELP OF ALLAH, medicine, technology, FOOD, all of these things are from Allah and help people, why do people think some gifts are not from Allah? Allah took credit for the ships on the sea, for the chainmail armor, where do you think these ideas come from? You think humans can do anything? Allah produces anything that can exist, and what Allah doesn't DO and doesn't say BE to does not exist at all and can not exist.
So when people become sick, it is so disgusting and foolish when they reject medicine, asking instead for miracles like how they asked Jesus to bring down a tablespread of food from the sky instead of just eating, or how the Jews asked for more than the Manna when they could just travel down and get the onions they wanted.

This debate is ultimately irrelevant except to broadcast the problems in some of your beliefs, where you reject some of the gifts of Allah (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, etc) and think that only some gifts are acceptable, in truth it is Allah who is making your thinking ill, and taking away the use of some things from you in the manner of the Jews making false rules imposed on themselves and making things more difficult.
Rejecting medicine when you're sick and letting sickness harm you more is just arrogance and stupidity when Allah is the one who created food and medicine and chemicals and all that stuff.
