    Hawk99,

Yes. I do say things, but it is you who are sarcastic and like to make me look in bad weather.

Yes. Because knowing does replace "belief". Belief is not something to struggle for.

Arabic has several definitions stated, but that does not mean all are true.

I said SIMILAR meanings, not synonyms.

I think you are just picking on me like trolling. It is clear what I meant in my previous post without you asking that question. There are other words with similar but not identical meaning and one word has only one general meaning.

    Be well

      Man of Faith

I find your explanations erroneous and self serving, I simply
challenge your assertions, If I agreed with you would you
say I was trolling? What I believe I try to make clear and
what you believe I try to make clear.

      You agreed with this

Peace Man of Faith, correct me where I'm wrong, thus far you
do not believe in a defensive war, ritual salat, ritual fast, hajj, the qiblah
being Mecca, the Quran's general interpretation as it is today. You do believe
one can be one/meld/blend with the Rabb, you prefer use of the word
Rabb instead Allah, and you mention/inspired by Jesus more than Muhammad.

      You answered

I do not really do it because I prefer Rabb. I say it because allah
does not mean anything like Rabb.

I know Jesus more than a person than Muhammad yes. Muhammad is a warlord
and warmonger and an unrighteous man according to tradition.
You become symbiont with the Rabb because it is like being connected to a
      mainframe.

No offense intended just a friendly debate. handshake

      God bless

Okay. You are free to have those opinions, hawk99. But you are intending to make me look in a bad weather.

Self-serving they are not because they are backed up by the Sustainer. And I told you I am searching for evidence every day to complement the evidence that is there already.

I do not care if you agree with me or not, but one does not intentionally work to make a person appear in bad weather. And if they were wise they consider every possible input.

It is not like it would be rocket science to understand that such an old language as Arabic with words derived from an even older language called Aramaic would have "innate letter meanings". And if they have that it means words have only one general meaning too.

Well, it is understandable that you might disagree, based on not reading what I wrote, where I prove extensively what my meaning is and the reasoning behind the statements.

My point was, had you read it, that God chooses what the "truth" is, and there is nothing stable on its own except God as the Ultimate Truth.

This is proven clearly in the Qur'an, where it was "true" that Musa was holding a staff, then it was "false" that Musa was holding a staff, and instead it was "true" that there was a snake instead, and then it was "false" that there was a snake, and "true" that there was a staff. This demonstrated that God can change anything, nothing is true except what God makes true, and all of those things can easily be shifted by God.

Am I wrong? Do you disagree with that?

All I was saying is God can shift the "truth", but the "Ultimate Truth" remains, which is God Alone.

                  Right?

So people take pride in all sorts of "truths" and "systems" and go mad over them, when God can shift anything, or is God incapable of that?

God controls all information. The laws of the Universe can suddenly be changed, and even history can be shifted entirely, this is the power of God.

Do you deny that, do you disagree then that God can shift and change the "truth"?

Maybe it is worth something to read whatever it is I wrote and see if I really am wrong.

                      God bless you

Thank you, no I can't change or alter reality, only Allah can. I was just throwing in the suggestion that God can shock anyone by shifting things or suddenly making things that were not true to us appear to be true, or any number of things. So the end result is just to be wary of Allah, fear Allah, and know that only Allah is the Ultimate Truth, whereas all other things we think we see or know or believe can be shifted or transitory, and nothing can be held on to really. In some cases, Allah has convinced some people they are right when they might not be, or convinced others to view something as wrong (like how so many hate or dispute with Islam). So we just turn back to Allah in everything, the decider in all matters.

So in my speech, as you know there are people who believe the Earth is flat, who (if they are sincere) Allah has convinced of this, and can literally "prove" such a thing to all of us easily if Allah wills, making the whole topic arbitrary and vain (wasted).

For me, to consider such power of transformation, is a high meditation on Allah. I believe in science and whatever of course, and the situation that is at hand in my reality this moment as it appears to me, but I am just stating as an extra meditation on the power of Allah, that Allah can change anything too, so those who are obsessed with little "truths" (not you, I mean other people), are those who might not remember that Allah can change anything easily.

So I take it easy with Man of Faith. He is controlled by God, what he believes comes from God, and God can even make what he says seem true to any of us, but the better truth is always one God alone is the Greatest and Only Ultimate Truth, and God can shift anything freely with or without our awareness and convince anyone of anything.

                                Hawk99,

Peace Man of Faith these are not my opinions but yours!

What you wrote earlier speaks against this.

a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word
or phrase in the same language, for example shut is a synonym of close.

Yes and qatal is not a synonym because it does not imply that a person dies but only that the person is defeated, subdued. It is not even remotely synonymous because one word implies that the person dies while the other one does not. And qatal does not imply whether the defeat is peaceful or violent.

So how would you translate, or how do you understand 49/14?
One can submit, accept, resign to, acknowledge, conform to the tenets of Islam (Muslim)
which are indeed sound but why such grandiosity, nitpicking your own personal meaning?

It is your opinion that I have grandiosity. And it is your opinion that I am "nitpicking" my personal meanings. Salam the root does not mean submit or whatever you are fed. It means that something is sound/pristine/healthy.

Just reflect upon why in tradition you greet someone with "salaam". Do you tell them "submit!" when you greet them or do you wish them health? You wish them health obviously. And Muslim means "a Sound one" which refers to that you are mentally and physically well, but its meaning does probably more imply that you have a sound judgment rather than kafar, i.e. deluded.

4914 is quite easy to explain because allah is not a word for some god but the only word as a title used to refer to your Sustainer is 'Rabb' in the Arabic language here. Yet many translators add the word allah where 'aslamana' is mentioned in the sentence so it looks the way you believe. Try to find some better argument and please stop the derogatory remarks that I am filled with grandiosity just because I am propagating a truth that has been shoveled dirt on for over thousand years.

It is not a matter of grandeur. When someone struggles to proclaim a truth it is not arrogance, and I have the right to propel my words just like anyone else as long as I follow the forum rules. And I told you that I am basing these arguments on DEFINITIONS AVAILABLE IN ANCIENT LEXICONS and they are NOT MY MEANINGS. What is difficult to understand?

Do not blame others for understanding your points of view.

I blame people for "nitpicking" my words in order to find some way against me while they did not even care to study them first. You entirely took my words, rendered me in bad weather, and said I contradicted myself while I did not. A synonym must have almost the same meaning as the word referred to or else it can only be a somewhat similar word with some connotation. Perhaps I should not say similar because I have to be perfectly clear. They have some remote connection with each other, instead.

We were talking about Arabic words and I said there are no synonyms in the Arabic language, but there are words with a similar meaning. But that does not mean they are synonymous. You just based an opinion without reflecting upon what I wrote first and saying I contradict myself while I did not in the first place.

                                My understanding

                                synonym

                                NOUN

a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word
or phrase in the same language, for example shut is a synonym of close.

synonyms alternate ? substitute ? alternative ? equivalent ? euphemism

And where can you disqualify my argument with this? It is clear what a synonym is.

                                Be well

I agree with you in principle but cautious about making statements about Allah.

Yeah... that's right. Thank you for the advice, brother hawk.

                                  May Allah forgive me.

InshaAllah, I will be more careful if I speak about something like that next time.

In my opinion, every truth (all truth) is static/steady/unchanged/stable,

because I think God is not "wishy washy".

I don't think God is wishy washy, but has shown examples of changing things, like the snake and staff. God is free to change anything, and if God changes anything, it is part of what God wants to do. There isn't really time for God, time is just something in our experiences as a concept.

So, for example, there once was no Earth. That state did not remain, and then there was Earth, etc. Constantly changing things, changing the seasons, and changing the humans, and they grow old and die and new ones appear, etc.

If God was "static", then the Earth would never have appeared nor would there be any creation or change from that original state, but God creates freely and new things and adds to things and transforms people and creations, and says even of the angels that God adds to their creation as he pleases. There is no time really, God is presently operating and doing whatever, and it is by "change" that we perceive anything at all.

Change is evident, or else God wouldn't have created in the first place and there would have been no change, nor would there have been progress which is all transformation. If everything was static, there would be no end to the Universe or Earth either.

I'm not saying everything was static, I think it could be that you misunderstood my point.

In short, I tend to believe that my Creator is consistent regarding His decisions for matters.

                                      That's my personal understanding.

I think that is totally true. In my view, there are only Allah's decisions, and there is nothing in the heavens, or the earth or anywhere that can change the decision of Allah, Allah decides a matter and says "Be" and it is, but Allah's decisions are such that Allah can also change any of it, not because something convinced Allah to change it, or that Allah is wishy washy, but that Allah is now doing something else or wills there to be some change or transformation, and Allah is totally free to do that, is not bound by anything, etc, so freely can create and freely can destroy, and freely can make any sort of decision however weird it may seem.

Peace, when referring to my lord I try to stick to his attributes,
thereby not risking offense to our sustainer.
