Salute @hawk99,
You just gained my respect!

Do you talk about the Flat Earth in a really deep voice like this

Peace hicham9, I think pitch is correct but tone is better than
tune, ex. we speak in a harsh, soft, loud, sincere, or sarcastic tone. Thanks
for the correction.peace

You'll see the same style existed back in the day too!

I don't talk much in real life.
Any particular reason why not?
I find many of your posts very funny!
-
Hilarious, even though I suspect that you did not intend for it to be so!
Peace mmkhan, FreedomStands has a right to his point of view just as you do,
You accuse him of forceful views while you do the same, only in an around about way.As far as drawing conclusions about people
If we will, we can expose them for you, so that you can recognize them
just by looking at them. However, you can recognize them by the way they talk (type).
GOD is fully aware of all your works.God bless

Peace brother,
Red Need clarification.
I seek refuge in my Lord for the same.
If you are referring to Salafi, then I wanted to point out the group that is called salafi. Because I was belong to them also long back and I know how everyone is angry and frustrated always. If you felt me doing the same like name calling etc. I apologize with FreedomStands and would like to thank you for correcting me.May Allah shower His blessing upon you and your family pr

mmKhanI don't mind! I've never belonged to the Salafi or any group, I'm against them and what I consider their blasphemous views and Hadith obsession. They seem obsessed with superficial things like beards and the length of clothes above ankles and whatever else which have no basis in the Qur'an or anything, thank God.
They are all frustrated and irritable seeming haha. I'm more of a joker. The closest school of thought among the various schools of the ancient past might be a dash of this

https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occasionalism
Though not exactly perhaps, and basically one of the biggest blasphemies, which I think perhaps not many play with directly, is the co-eternal Qur'an, that is total shirk and blasphemy which they write about in some doctrines. Not only is any recitation by God "after" God, meaning "proceeding from God", but the book itself is obviously not "co-eternal", or else Pharoah and evilness which is mentioned in it and all that is "co-eternal" and even saying such a thing is just stupid. Allah alone is the eternal, and everything else is information which Allah creates and can destroy freely, and there is only "now" which may include some concept or perception of "time", but no "time" for the Ultimate who is beyond such things which people attribute and all concepts are under God none over God or pre-existing or co-existing. Don't they know what shirk means?!

Peace
Just this.
For my understanding, sawm means abstinence from carnal fulfilment, this includes pleasure (sexual) and food/drink, so eating is not acceptable when practising sawm.
I cannot compare that to Zakariah's Sign because it was a one off, binding on Zakariah (P) only at the time Zakariah (P) asked for a Sign from Allah.
Comment
There is an issue stretching similarities too far within language, and within examples in the Quran. -
Here is the verse used by who perverted true meaning of saoum
"2187 It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray your souls so He has accepted your repentance, and forgiven you; now you may approach them and seek what God has written for you. And you may eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then you shall complete the fast
until night; and do not approach them while you are devoted in the temples. These are the boundaries of God, so do not transgress them. It is thus that God clarifies His revelations to the people who they may be righteous."forbidding eating and drinking is just a deduction.
Salamun alaikum.
If I am told eat and drink until the end-of-recess bell rings, then pay attention to your teacher till the class is over - do we not conclude that eating or drinking after end-of-recess would be inappropriate?
If I am told work and deal with your clients until the fire alarm is heard, then gather to the meeting point as soon as possible - do we not conclude that continuing to work after the fire alarm would be inappropriate?
Sorry your arguments are not convincing enough for me.
May Allah guide ua all to the straight route.

Salaam Novice.
No intrusion assumed. However are you suggesting that eating and drinking during siam is inappropriate but not prohibited?
For me, the siam is prescribed as a spontaneous excercise to express our gratitude to Allah (as opposed to legally enforcable mandatory obligation - like assumed in Sharia countries). Since the excercise is spontaneous anyway - I'd rather refrain from the inappropriate.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

Thanks brother I am not suggesting that. I got it from your examples and in my humble opinion inappropriate does not mean forbidden. So may be I could not relate your examples as per your understanding.

Salam brother.
I believe, given the instructions in 2187, eating and drinking during siam is inapproriate. Doing the inappropriate thing during the siam would invalidate the "purpose" of expressing my gratitude to Allah.
I do not believe the word Prohibited / "haram" applies to eating and drinking during siam.
733 Say, ?My Master has only prohibited the immorality ? whatever is evident of it and whatever is hidden; and the sin, and acting out of envy without right, and that you associate partners with Allah for which He has not sent down any (delegation of) authority and that you say about Allah what you do not know.?
(My personal translation, cross checking is recommended.)
Hope this clarifies.

Salam Brother.
Per my reading -
The reason why of siam has been prescribed for the faithful is "so that we can be conscious" (2183).
The purpose of observing siam during Ramadan is "so that we can exolt Allah for how He guided us and to appreciate" (2185).
I see no conflict here.
May Allah guide us all to the straight route.

Thanks brother for bringing up 2185. I think I am not thinking clearly as it is 135 am so time to give a break to my brain.
