    Peace Neptin,

EVERY SINGLE CENT of the income taxes collected by IRS goes towards payment of the interest on the US government debt owed to Federal Reserve. Not a single cent of all the income taxes collected from US citizens goes towards a single service or benefit the US Government provides.

    Peace

This is unimaginable. Evident slavery! Poor citizen parting with their hard earned dough to pay for government mismanagement and misendeavor

Forget tax. I have a problem with the very existence of money.

How strange that we sell our souls in the blind pursuit of this man-made creation which cannot have any value to it beyond our own perception.

        Peace
I had that thought many times.
I'm living in probably the most tax countrie in the world. (Denmark))
Here actually the money are used to help the poor. So like a single mother can have more from welfare than if she worked.
We don't really have corruption even.
        0
But this is actually causing some problems.
1.For many people they will loos if they go to work. (they have to pay for transportation and so).
        2. We are closing our borders because we wont let to many in to have these benefits.
        3. The money that is passed in the tax system and then go to someone poor. Doesn't make any relation between the giver and the receiver.
Like you don't need to contact your neighbor to get help, like if you wanted to borrow the lawn mower or so. People are suffering from loneliness.
        4. Lots of single mothers wish have trows out their "Husband" since they don't need him to bring money to the family. They will get more as single mothers. We see also the birth rate are dropping dramatic.
        5. People who coming here and gets the benefits/welfare are not integrated since they don't need to go to the working marked.
        6. People starts to cheat to get their benefits.

I try myself to help some refugee here. But they also getting money from the system so they can live quite well. In some way the best way to help could be assisting them how to get most medical care and benefits. But I wont really go down that lane.
So instead I try to offer some jobs. But what they want is to get some money aside the welfare. So its causing me some difficulties since the reason why i want to help them is that they should get out from that depending system and make some real job and relations.

So in many way this tax system have its limitation.
What I would prefer was more open borders so people could get here when they are poor or running away from war.
If people came here and had to work to survive I also think that they would be benefitting the sociaty and was getting integrated.

Everything is so controlled by the goverment that its hard to make your own wellfare.
Also if we are forced to give out to the poor. Does it then counts as we are giving like its mentioned in 2 271.
In my eyes the system are stopping me for helping the needed since Im not allowed to invite them into this countrie. And defentliy not give them job. Even thougt they could help with manual labour wich we hardly anymore cant effort anymore. (due to all this taxation).
But that would require a free and open marked and world.

In someway I have good and bad to say about this taxsystem. I havn?t found anything against it in Quran, since we are told to give to the poor.
But couldnt you be poor in something else than money. What about human relationship. But that doesn?t the tax-system solve. This is causing more loliness.
I find the tax-system against Gods will since I think the poor are here for a reason. For us to act and make relationship.
Like it is now we are pushing all this away from the daily life. So the cold moneymaking day is all we have..

Anyway. Neptin. Didn?t you say you worked for the government? So the money are used to pay someone (you). Or?
And 22,500 $ that seems like a loads of money.. Are you joking when you say just?

Oh! my bad. I was making an example. But comm'on there are folks, business men, self employed earning as high as this monthly.

es has summed it up in two sentences!

All I can add is " Render to Caesar what is Caesar s".

However as Neptin requested, keep discussing ,all views on this subject are interesting.

            GOD bless.

If taxes are used for the right reasons they are just. In Sweden they pay for the health care system and for pensions and for people unable to provide for themselves and maintain the infrastructure and police and fire fighters.

It works well for as long as the majority of the population have a job and can earn money, but it can become an issue when there is a high unemployment. The good thing is that those who earn money basically carry those who have problems in their lives so that the taxes become a little like (compulsory) charity. However, when you have lazy or greedy people in the community who live on tax money it can become a little saddening.

In systems with high taxes and good social security they could count their tax money as charity, making it feel less bad to pay them.

              Be well
              Emanuel

In my opinion you can't compare the European countries to the US. The Scandinavian countries for example are perfect countries on spending taxes. Without taxes these countries would turn into a failure. Education wouldn't be free, dentistcare for children until they reach the age of 20 wouldn't be free, students wouldn't recieve money for studying, pensions wouldn't even exist and so on. As a citizen I do feel that I'm benefiting from paying taxes. If I have children they will be given a very good life and that is because of tax-payers.

The US does like you said, waistes a load of money on Israel and wars and the European nations. If I remember it correctly, the US funds at least 90% of NATO. The European nations use the US allowing it to destroy its own land while they focus on the living standard on their own land. Very smart if you ask me.

I live in a Scandinavian country that did not follow the same path as the US but infact follows a better path. Remove the funds being spent on the military and spend it on the citizens instead. Allow the US to protect Europe instead while our taxes goes to the citizens of the country. That's excellent. The US will always turn into a failure in terms of living standard while the European nations will shine because the US is being used. No wonder some Americans are Immigrating to Western-Europe.

Don't the Scandinavian countries generate revenue from export of goods and minerals? Before World war 1, there weren't income taxes in US and Americana did managed their economy. This whole idea of "We need to tax to enable government provide services" didn't sell initially. At first, only the super rich were taxed and there was only income tax.

Before WW1, America wasn't exactly a great place to live in.. Scandinavian countries rely on a lot of things. Norway has oil, Sweden is ranked as #11 in the weapon industry and exports a lot of weapons such as JAS-Gripen 39, Archer Artilery system and anti tank weapons while exporting resources such as steel and iron. Without tax-money this wouldn't have been achievable as there would be no money for research letalone education. Like somebody pointed out, In Sweden tax goes to health care system and for pensions and for people unable to provide for themselves and maintain the infrastructure and police and fire fighters etc. I'm against that tax-money should be spent on Swedens military because this would mean that less money would go to the citizens of the country. There is no reason to turn into the US. Sure the US is the strongest country in the world but look at how bad it is. Its debt is at least over $10 trillion. I bet if the US started to spend its own tax-money on its own citizens rather than on NATO you'd feel a huge difference living there.

                      Nope, never heard of it.

I think money is a funny old thing. I feel extremely uncomfortable with my taxes being used to uphold and strengthen a system which promotes/ encourages, creates and sustains so many things which I disagree with. I would love a utopian system where we do not require money for anything but can instead create a community where we can exchange skills, time, toil, knowledge, carrots, gooseberries, etc., to sustain ourselves. Of course, if I could exchange some crab apples and travel the world then all the better.

Going back in time, "money" was some object of value like Gold. The highly corrupt banking enslavement has spread corruption like none other to the point that people now think of these bank notes, these bank statements of "I owe you"s, these otherwise worthless pieces of paper (the lives of otherwise giving trees) as wealth and money and something of value. If any, very few governments today work for the interests of the people. They do things which makes the politicians and the people in power rich, satisfies their desires and looks good to the people. Anyone who disagrees then is, uh, "educated". I am not saying everything is bad. But I am saying that if these people could get away with some of their other insidious schemes that would otherwise be too obvious, they would. But they re getting around that obstacle too. This education runs on a box 24/7 on which disgust is on the rise and everyone likes it - the new definition of "entertainment"!

That would actually be very reminiscent of the very origins of Islam (proto-Islam) as I understand them. They were insular communities who seperated themselves from the Jews and Christians who left the straight path.

But count me out, because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to live in a community consisting of some of the clowns on this forum. There would be accidents... if you know what I'm saying.

Lol. When I was a kid, and I had to go to school for the first time I also refused; so they dragged me there. When my mother handed me over to that kindergarten teacher, she had to give me back because I was kicking an punching her so hard. So be warned! This kitty has claws.

Neptin, are you in the states?

Taxing can be slightly state specific. Corporate tax is a joke in federal and state levels. Most companies know at least one way to avoid paying the full amount. What bugs me is how the tax is used by the government. If you look at their detailed expenditure reports you will lose faith in humanity.

US government for instance, divert lot of the funding from these taxes to support more wars and occupation.

When it comes to spending education is linked to defense. If there is a war a major portion of education money is moved to defense. That makes schools suffer for a while. Yet the war fund is never enough. Our last option is getting loan from other countries. That's just another nail in the coffin >(

That said, without tax, United States will go downhill. Countries like Bahrain and Saudi have less population. Its easy to take care of them. Here we are too many in number and that is also with unhealthy lifestyle. I just wish the taxes were lower. Its possible only if we get rid of useless government programs and objectives. But its not gonna happen and I am sure everyone knows why! We will remain unQuranic in that specific section. But its true that income tax is unconstitutional and we are too lazy to do anything about it.

                                  peace

I feel increasingly enamoured by the idea of setting up an insular QA community. Let's do it!

This is something which will remain purely ideological for me. Realistically, I don't believe for a moment that any such community could come together without being marred by the politics of it. I think the majority of us don't have the basic decency or respect for each other to make such a community work.

                                      Salaam.

Lol. When I was a kid, and I had to go to school for the first time I also refused; so they dragged me there. When my mother handed me over to that kindergarten teacher, she had to give me back because I was kicking an punching her so hard. So be warned! This kitty has claws.

Luckily I have a nail clipper!
