MY JOURNEY FROM THE CHRISTIANITY OF SUNNISM TO ISLAM
-
Salaam,
Correct, Christians do not follow some of the Old Testament since they are no longer bound to that law. If anyone is interested on a great Christian outlook on the Biblical theme then the book called The Divine Plan of the Ages by Charles Taze Russell is a nice read.

Peace Ali Omar,
You are right, but that wasn't my point. My point was that the author was attributing these teachings to Christianity, but those teachings aren't really a part of Christianity or Catholicism. Christianity hasn't been practiced that way since the so-called Dark Ages.

Salaam to all,
I bring a greeting of peace from the writer, Saim Bakar, a close friend. Saim is glad that the book is well received, and he welcomes distribution of the print copies for wider audience. He's currently in the process of printing the book.
He's aware of the technical issue of Christianity/New Testament. Perhaps the more appropriate terminology is Judeo-Christianity instead of just Christianity. Thanks.

Do tell him about us, Ali Imran, and ask him if he wants to discuss things here. I'm sure he's a likable person--I really like his style! My favourite passage from that book is this
As an example if the Ahlul Sunnah have three hadeeth and the Shiah have three khabar or hadeeth - and both of them reject each others hadeeth, in totality all their hadeeth / khabar have been rejected by the both of them. Then comes along someone like me who rejects all their six hadeeth or khabar and what happens ? Both of them jump at me for rejecting both their hadeeth or khabar, while they are oblivious of the fact that they have already completely rejected each other?s hadith.

Peace,
I was more fascinated by the amount of early "islamic history" that he showed in that article. I am referring to the Asqalani's commentary and the fact that Bukhari's works are not available. I never knew that before.

Same here.....I never knew this before reading Saim's book.
Congratulations, Saim, for a work well done. )

Wearing Turbans and Robes Another Hallmark of the Devil.
We have already seen in the previous chapter that the beards of the Ahlul Sunnah and Shiah which they think is part of their religion is actually stolen from the Bible too. This falsehood is not found anywhere in the Quran.
The ulema are fond of presenting themselves as holier than thou. By their mannerisms, their speech and most important of all by their appearance, they try to project themselves as 'holy', God fearing people, religious people, upholding the teachings of the Prophet and other such lies. They have to present themselves as purer than others, otherwise their followers will not respect them as ulema. Allah has already warned us about these ulema. Here is the verse
Surah 449] Have you not considered those who attribute purity to themselves? Nay, Allah purifies whom He pleases; and they shall not be wronged the husk of a date stone.
So there are people who walk around attributing purity to themselves. These are the holier than thous. They are actually munafiks or hypocrites. Who are the people today who dress in a certain manner to impress people that they are holy ? Who are the people today who speak in a certain manner to impress people that they are religious ? Answer the ulema and their cohorts. Allah clearly tells us that these people are actually munafiks or hypocrites.
Here is the verse Surah 634] And when you see them, their appearance will be impressive, and If they speak, their speech will be impressive; (they are) as if they were big pieces of wood clad with garments; they think every cry to be against them. They are the enemy, therefore beware of them; may Allah destroy them, whence are they turned back?
This is exactly the description of the ulema. They wear beards because they say their religion requires them to do so. In other words God and the Prophet told them to wear beards. They wear robes and turbans again because they say God and the Prophet told them to wear robes and turbans as part of their religion. They even say that when they wear turbans during prayer they get more rewards or thawwab from God, compared to those praying without turbans. According to the two verses above, they are nothing but hypocrites. Nowhere in the Quran does Allah or the Prophet tell us to wear turbans or robes.
Just like the false idea about beards that they have stolen from the Bible, their false teachings that turbans and robes are the clothes of the religious or holy people is also stolen from the Bible. Here it is
Bible, Book of Exodus 283-5 3 Tell all the skilled men to whom I have given wisdom in such matters that they are to make garments for Aaron, for his consecration, so he may serve me as priest. 4 These are the garments they are to make a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a woven tunic, a turban and a sash. They are to make these sacred garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests. 5 Have them use gold, and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and fine linen.
The Book of Exodus in the Bible says clearly that among the clothes of the priests shall be turbans and robes. Why so ? Because the Bible likens turbans and robes as the clothes of justice. Here is the Bible reference
Bible, Book of Job 2914 14 I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe and my turban.
Clearly this is what the ulema say about turbans and robes. The ulema are following the Bible. They have abandoned the Quran which tells them
O children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover yourselves and for beauty, but the best of clothing is to be God fearing (wa libaasu taqwa zaalika khairun). This is of the ayaat of Allah, that they may be mindful.
Indeed Allah has sent to us clothing but Allah says the best clothing for mankind is to be God fearing or taqwa (wa libaasu taqwa zaalika khairun). The false and rather stupid belief that clothes can project righteousness, justice or purity is found only in the Bible. The ulema of Ahlul Sunnah and Shiah have stolen this falsehood from the Bible and pass it off as their own religious teachings. Truly the ulema and their followers are Judeo-Christians. They are not Muslims.
