No God Exists: Why Should I Be Good to humans?
-
i am asking prove me logically what wrong in theft, for (thief) as long as he enjoying the benefits of theft robbery , why should he sacrifice at the first place when he have guts to live nice life by robbing other people ? why the hell he will sacrifice ? human being is always very selfish. but question here is what make us stop for being bad ?
salamCompletely wrong,
A person may see nothig wrong in gettingmoney from sombody who is nnot going to suffer for tht stolen money with hunger or need. But any person will understand that if he or she steals thhe money for food or shelter of persons who need it she is not doing something good. He is doing something bad. A person may not do so and steal in site of it, but then it would be not because he considers that a good act but because he has chosen to act so in site of it no being right. It is a moral choice.
You are wrong that huamns are bad nd selfish. There are many kinds of human of course, but no, mostly they do think there are propper and good things and bad things.
There my be many types of moral or inmoral perople but there isonly one human fitra. That is the fitra which tells anybody understandable universal rules of moral, like ot killing not doing bda in exchange for good, etc. It is through perversion that people do somethig else, nnot because they think it is right but because they thik they r going to be better off doing wrong. THEY KNOW IT. Their being rogue is not their nturl state, it is their choice because they think they will be greater that way.
about fitrat , diff people have diff fitrat , a fitrat of rapist feel right to rape, a fitrat of thief fee right to steal, a fitrat of Good person feel good to help/sacrifce. the last fitrat no body have issues how you will sort the first two catagories.
No there is not such a thing as anybody not drunk thinking genuinely that rape is right. You cnnot really believe that. Is it only fear of God to not rape anybody you fancy? I do ot think so, and if you did, then I would think you were rotten., shaytaic, shaytan. Yes, sgaytan, or if you did any other thing manifestly cruel or unjust. Would you think that it was right to have sombody being forced by you, writhing and terrified and that only the fear of God would prvent you from doing such a thing. Do you find that those things are really beautiful or covetable?
Tehere i no such a thing as humn being inevitable bad and only being good out of fear or obligation. Do you think your mothr took car of you or loves you out of feaar of Godd or by obligation? Would you love your kid or take care of them only because of fer of God or because being forced to it.
Would you smmile kidly to anybody becaue of fear of Go or because soebody forces you?
There is no, God forbid, the fitra of a rapist. That is not a fitr, tat is omething you hav to work for, and the fct that there may be a lot of eople working on attaining such personality does ot change the fact that that is conquered, not given as a birthright.
And omething else. Do ot orget the names of God, are many. A erso may not worshi God, but ay worship al 3dl, and that is a name of God, would anybody dare say that omeone who struggls for al 3adl is not struggling for God? If God is al 3adl then whoever gives his life for it is working in worshiping al 3adl.

i asked proved me logically , for thief not for the victim of these crime,
i m stannding at the point of crimianl not at the point of victimm of theft or rape, as long anybody suffer , what does that affect to person who is already selfish and criminal mind, and nothing to fear regarding anyhthing here (police) and hereafter(god)
he dnt need to care about the feelings of victim as long as he get his thingie, thats what my question was,
by the way i myself consider all these things wrong not just due to the fear of God becoz perosnally i have motions inside me , but every person is not think like me, so i m standing at the point of the perosn who is selfish, criminal wicked,
now prove me logically how can you prove robbery is bad for him?
-
and second more reasonable question? if there is no God exist , and he died in his life doing all the life murder robbery, rape, theft,
and untill his death he live like king, what should be the result?
even if a perosn like hitler kills millions of jews ?
punishing him one time by hang on rope or on electric chair is a justice, now there the answer come , God is watching over everything and he will call on account to everybody , this life of world is fully unfair , fully like a game and we both God and creation knows about it , thats y beleiving in hereafter matters a lot, this thing athiest never understand

w salam i have no concern with them i need to worry about my neck, infront of my Lord and the system what lord creates to test us what we call this worldy life,
and beleiving in God is not just by saying we beleive in God and do whatever we want to do, if we really beleive in God we must accept his commands if we will not accept we will consider as hypo and we wil dweel in innermost part of hell,
apart from alll sorry to say u failed to give the answer of my question, still waiting,
ok make it easy ,
i m a thief , prove me logically how its wrong for me, just give answer of the question thats it,?
-
Morality has nothing to do with belief in God; if it did, religious societies would be more morally upright than non-religious societies. We see the exact opposite actually; the more religious a society, the more morally bankrupt, corrupt and oppressive it usually becomes. There are hardly any exceptions to this rule that I know of.

i m a thief , prove me logically how its wrong for me, just give answer of the question thats it,?
You stilldo nnot understand what I have said, I have never offered explin what you want, I do nnot give a damn to prove to a thief why or how he is wrong.
WHAT I HAVE SAID IS THAT THE FITRA tell us ehat is wrong and right whether we believe that we believe in God or we don't. That fear does not make us ito good or bad, but our choice as to folow our fitr or ignore it and pervert ourselves.

what u said is not the answer of my question , fitra of thief telling him to rob if he do rob its good for him thats what is in his fitrat/nature
same athiest ar eclaiming we are so good we dnt need to beleive in one God and his commandments their fitrat/nature is telling them there is no proof of god hence its proved no God exist , logically they are not doing sin.
same logically thief within himself thinks what he is doing is right and his fitrat as well.

Is is right for a robber? Do you want a verse from Qoran? What do you want?
I do not get what you are asking here? Qoran clearly says illicit gains/robbery is wrong, so does that not tell you it is bad to rob?
Sorry I do not get your challenge!!!

Peace.no i beleive robbery is wrong , and there are lot of verses in quran, which is clear not to be dishonest in the system
the main topic here is athiesm , and people are claiming athiest should go to janna as they have no source or understanding of God,
logically they are doing good, and logically one should not beleive in god to enter paradise,
ok in simple words GL
just think for a while i m athiest and i dnt beleive in God and i m thief?
logically can somebody prove me i am doing wrong for myslef ? or is it bad for me ? or is it harmful for me?
-
ok i myslef giving a first answer ,
question, logically theft is wrong can you prove?
answer, its bad for you becoz , its written in quran,
my answer, but i dnt beleive in quran,
2nd option police will catch you ? so dnt do rob
my answer , i m don i keep police in my pocket, so not harmful for me
third option rob is giving damage to people ,
my answer , i dnt care about people emotions as long am i geting facilities and luxiries with theft money
4th option, i left for you guys tell me all the drawbacks of theft , how it could be wrong for a robber
-
Peace Imran.
My fault, I missed your point . I now understand why you are asking the question.
However, human laws also prevail. If society defines laws, then that law is biding.
GOD bless you.

There is no such a thing as a fitra of a thief. There is the human fitra. If you hold something eelse bring ome quote from he qur'an. Bein ga robber or a thief is a choice it is ot the fitra. You are cofusing the fitra with something else.
Wee all, human beings do have a fitra which tells us what is wrong and what is right. And you ask how it is bad for a thief to steal, you know and Iknow that anybody will get what they have earnt, but that is something else. We do not get points minus or less for knowing what we earn with this ortht but for doing what our cnscience tells us is the right thing to do and what is right or wrong is universal may be not in shapes but indeed a to the basic. We know that stabbing someody in the back just for kicks is bad, we do ot nneed any book to knnow that, nor a frevelationn. That is in our fitra Whether we ct on that knowleedge or not is our choice, but we do know it.
There is aother thing, love, the love of a mother. An sel called ahteist may love hi mother to the point of going hrough enormou sacrificee for her, that is human fira, you (I do not knnow because I don't knnnow what you are getting at) may think that sacrificing for his mother is not good for him, but who tell you that he does nnot feel more satisied with that than with not worrying about her. People are not beasts, the human fitra is not the fitr of beasts. There are of cours epople who say damnn the humann fitra and prefer (cheating on themselves) to behave like beasts.
I know you do not want meto ay that that what you want is that I answer a question which I consider unfounded, like if you asked how uch costs the square metre of urban plots on the moon? What would I say? I do not know of any urban plots in the moon.

i think good logic get my point and he understand what question i ask? but i m failed to make you understand my question i think ,
ok refer to my post 117 i make it easy for all of you guys what i ask and what answers i suppose to get as a logical person
put quran at a side for a while,God bless you

I see what you ask, but the thing i that nnot I am going to answer that question because I see it a an unfounded question, and therefore I would give a nonsense answer, the premises for the quesstion are not there.
As to mentionning the Qur'an, I was speaking about fitra in the sense of the Qur'an. That is not quotinng the Qr'an many people are convinced of such a thing ither with that name or with other name.

The problem is that fitra cannot be used to justify a policy, for it is what we feel. Rationality asks for what can be seen. Unfortunately, some of the big thieves and ugly hearts are found right within the public sector. When God is removed they'll be the first ones to take up the position of the divine.
Anyways, I think the author below does a better job of summarizing the problem.
If atheism is true, it is far from being good news. Learning that we're alone in the universe, that no one hears or answers our prayers, that humanity is entirely the product of random events, that we have no more intrinsic dignity than non-human and even non-animate clumps of matter, that we face certain annihilation in death, that our sufferings are ultimately pointless, that our lives and loves do not at all matter in a larger sense, that those who commit horrific evils and elude human punishment get away with their crimes scot free ? all of this (and much more) is utterly tragic.
Honest atheists understand this. Philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche proclaimed the death of God, but he called it an "awe-inspiring catastrophe" for humanity, which now faced the monumental task of avoiding a descent into nihilism. Essayist Albert Camus likewise recognized that when the longing for a satisfying answer to the question of "why?" confronts the "unreasonable silence of the world," the goodness of human life appears to dissolve and must be reconstructed from the ground up.
In our own time, physicist Steven Weinberg admits that he is "nostalgic for a world in which the heavens declared the glory of God" and associates himself with the 19th-century poet Matthew Arnold, who likened the retreat of religious faith in the face of scientific progress to the ebbing ocean tide and claimed to detect a "note of sadness" in its "melancholy, long, withdrawing roar." Weinberg confesses to his own sorrow in doubting that scientists will find "in the laws of nature a plan prepared by a concerned creator in which human beings played some special role."
The past century has given us many honest atheists, some well known, others less so The playwrights Eugene O'Neill and Samuel Beckett, aphorist E.M. Cioran, filmmaker Woody Allen. But perhaps the most brutally honest of all was the poet Philip Larkin, whose poems movingly describe the immense psychological struggles that often accompany atheism ? an outlook he considered to be both "true" and "terrible." Religion ? "That vast moth-eaten musical brocade / Created to pretend we never die" ? used to dispel the terror of annihilation, or at least try to. But Larkin will have none of it. And that leaves him ? and us ? with no solace or reassurance, confronting the horrifying prospect of a lonely plunge into infinite nothingness "This is what we fear no sight, no sound, / No touch or taste or smell, nothing to think with, / Nothing to love or link with, / The anesthetic from which none come round."
To reject religion does not merely entail facing our finitude without comforting illusions. It also involves the denial of something noble. It is perfectly fitting, Larkin seems to say, for an atheist to lament his lack of belief in a God who bestows metaphysical meaning on the full range of human desires and experiences. As he puts it in the unforgettable closing stanza of "Church Going," in which the poet ponders the prospect of a world without religion, the empty shell of the church he inspects with "awkward reverence" is, finally, "a serious house on serious earth." And its seriousness flows from its capacity to serve as a place ? perhaps the only place on earth ? where "all our compulsions meet / Are recognized, and robed as destinies."
It is a striking image, capturing at once the dignified beauty of religious ritual and its capacity to conceal the truth under a layer of intricate artifice The whole point of the liturgy performed on the church altar, Larkin implies, is to seduce us with the beautiful and supremely fulfilling illusion that our worldly compulsions have cosmological meaning and significance. And for Larkin, this longing for our most precious hopes to link up with the order that governs the universe "never can be obsolete." Which means that this aspect of religion, at least, may very well be too deeply rooted in the human soul ever to be completely purged.
The compassionate generosity and honesty of Larkin's atheism also infuse a poem titled "Faith Healing," which reflects on the deepest sources of humanity's religious impulses. Larkin suggests that human beings are creatures governed by the longing to love ? and even more so, by the longing to be loved. It is a need, a hunger that never can be permanently satiated. But religion tries, understanding and responding to this crucially important aspect of humanity perhaps more fully than any other institution or practice. When a preacher looks into the eyes of a suffering parishioner, cradles her head in his hands, and utters "Dear child, what's wrong?", Larkin writes, "an immense slackening ache / ... Spreads slowly through" her, "As when, thawing, the rigid landscape weeps." The preacher's love may be a charade, the loving God that appears to act through him may be a fantasy conjured out of a combination of imagination and spiritual yearning, but in that moment faith has demonstrated its unique capacity to heal the human heart.
That godlessness might be both true and terrible is something that the new atheists refuse to entertain, no doubt in part because they want to sell books ? and greeting cards do a brisk business. But honesty requires more than sentimental, superficial happy talk, which is all readers will get from A.C. Grayling and his anti-religious comrades in arms.

salam huruf,
logically nobody can prove theft rape rob is wrong specially in the sense of athiest or non beleiver, what i try to present here by all this is to make people understand , if they think they will do anything without fearing they will not be account by their powers , you cannot stop them to do corruption, you cannot make them understand why it is bad/wrong for them,
Allah is the only hope, when we bring the matter in the light of Allah then problem solved, and one need to listen the commands of God by not robbing , murdering or rape somebody. even its appear bad(fitrat) or good(fitrat) to somebody ,
i myself have no logical answer , becoz there is no logical answer to prove somebody theft is wrong if he dnt beleive in God at first place, if he beleive in God he must belleive in commandments of god,
in the case of athiest , he did not beleive God , if he is not doing any crime its not due to a good human nature(fitra) he knows law will catch him, or he get killed himslef by killing somebody , that fear did not allow athiest to make curruption, not all the athiest are same though not all the believers are same as well they did it as well, if they really beleivers they should not do it,
the mezan(balance) is already imposed by Allah of everything.
apart from All this , athiesm is a nasty and devislish agenda of some sick ,pyscho people possibly free massionay and its just spreading non sense logics to innocnet people and they are converting in ito it, which should be stop , thats why i pointed out this specific issue, most of the uk new generation is leaving christanity and converting to atheism.
no hard feelings sister , i also consider all these things bad from the core of my heart, and from the commandments of my God .
peace,

The fact that we are not able to bring or do not care to bring a paper with a very nice "logically" exposed and chained sequence of cause and result, does not meann that things do not exist or are not like we see they are. The fact is that I do know an deal with with people who are professed atheists, or rather agnostic, because most called atheists in fact are agnostics, but so they consider themselves atheists and they do not need at all any threat, either in this world or in another world to behave like real good human beings, because they listen to their fitra and not to the world.
Also I know there are people who go as atheists and in fact parade their atheism, and they tend to be people who have left religion, they can be quit fanatical. But those should not let us forget other people who simply cannot bring theemselves to believe in what people call God.
So these sincere fitra atheists who do not want to cheat themselves that they will get a reward for being good, but who in spite of it are good, sometimes extremely good, do you call them unnbelievers? I do not. Those ppeople know God, they just cannot bring themslves to identify God with a personnage which as some people in this very forum have put it, and in fact many "believers" put it, is a wretched malevolous tyran entity ready to take vengeace or in some other way not be very believable. But these good people who may go as atheists or agnostics in fact believe, beleive indeed in Al haqq, believe inn Al-3adl, believe in the Merciful. They do not put it in words but they do serve in fact God by His names.
Others who in fact proclaim themselves believers, do not worshipp with their deeds, the Merciful, al Haqq, al 3dal, al latif, etc. etc. Should I call them believers when in fact the pursue petty self-satisfactions of the most untrascedent kind?
So the believe thing is the most elusive thing we may come accross. Because what happenns with many ppepole it is not that they are actually hypocriticl, tough there are many of those too, but rather they are delluded that they believe, but they fail to act as if they did believe, so they are delluded, they are in a comfort zone of thinking themselves will not be punished, but they are servants of fear not of Al Haqq.
Tell me, is there a divine namee called The fearing? No, there is not, that I know of.
So there is one thing that fye said in one of his messages, and although I do not usually gree with him in many things, even when I understand him, in this one he was absolutely right that we may think that such and such a person may be a wrongdoer or an unbeliever or whatever, but that we never never can act on that because that ONLY GOD KNOWS.
Myself I could not bring myself to believe or act through fear. It must be through conviction. Of course by force one may end up submittig to anything, but submmitting to anything is not to commit oneself to it.
I do believe in human fitra and if somebody does wrong it is not by his or her fitra but by turning a blind eye to it, because in fact one has been tempted and given in to temptation, as simple as that. After, we may rationalise the thing however we wish, but it will be a rationnalisation not a reason. Of course we are very prone to temptation, we shun difficulty and will readily cling to something, however false that gives us a respite from difficulties and suffering, or which promises to bring us pleaure or whatever. Deep down we know, we do know we are cheatinng ourselves. Punishment in this lifee never comes unexpected although it may come suddely and certainly most unwelcome, but we do kow where we have our debts with ourselves and everything else. Sometimes we cannot do otherwise, because obviously we are nnot God an therefore we are not allpowerful to command what happens to us, but we do know where we are and morally I feel that us humans deserve compassion, it may get very difficult to swim in the sea of world life, and I trust and hope that we get it and that we will be corrected with compassion.

fear is a worldy word to describe the thinking of consequences of deeds, and relaxtion is same
both depends on the nature of deeds, a thief rob, ( in case of beleivers, he knows he did something out of way he is not relaxed and tensed due to the consequenses he face not the hell fire but he will suffer double loss , thats happened actually in lot of cases,
on the other hand, i helped the perosn who get robbed by somebody( i know he need food to eat, sommebody did unfair with him , God gave me money , and from that money if i help him , my God and he will be happy and i will feel relaxed and the consequenses i know it will become good, thats also happen with me all the time)
see even inn hereafter , the helll fire is a metaphorical sense of making someone understand what azab he will suffer, not by burning bodies, but by which deeds one did, full justice will happen there ,
i m not much sure i can expalin the way i think, the eternal hellfire, infact its depends on the amount of deeds and the way other party suffer,
even the examples of janna and hell are in this world,
let say, i kill a person , the person get into another dimenshen ,which is already going on his favour he been killed by me,
police will announce a life prison to me, if i think about it for a while its more fearing then heelfire, becoz if they burn me i can get release from that prison atleast, this worldy life he have to spend his life time probably 14 years in hell
if a person kill (2) 28 years, (3) 42 years,( 4 )56 here in this life we cannot punish a suicide bomber who is responisible for thousands of lifes,
this life is limited but hereafter we are not bound in death and life, so there will be a more likely a prison there and everybody will be punished acoorinding to deeds, what he did, as soon the time frame of punishment finish, there will be a fresh start of that soul( its just my analysis) i dnt know but what i m sure about hell is its more likely azab tenshn, depression , or unacceptable condition of soule ,
same happen with beleivers, their souls will enjoy fruits, wine, visits of galaxies, no fear of death hunger, pain,
and may be beautuful womens and handsome boys for male female beleives rotfl horrand time dimenshns we have no idea, infact if we see this life is also hell and paradise at same point, and most of the time it depends on our actions,
sorry for the commas please guys i know its annoying but its my typing fault what u can say.lol
