You cannot force the sectarian interpretation of Quran to conform with your ideas. It explicitly condemns association. You have to think it over and perhaps you may discover that the passages you quote are not supposed to say what you think, i.e. you have to reinterpret the whole scripture. This is something which I have discovered in recent years. The traditional way of knowing Arabic is more or less like garbage, fabricated by deluded clerics.

You may like to refine your terminology, it is not clear but looking like compromises. However I know you are onto the right thing just like me.
Matheist is a weird formulation. The best choice would be to say you are someone 'Who Is Like' or more simply put 'Who Is' which is the literal meaning of the Arabic word Allah. "To be" is your ultimate aim whereas like you say, many people are not conscious of their true selves. Your spiritual Being should be such as that one of your Rabb (morphological meaning of the word 'selam', to the point where you are in union with that phenomenon, i.e. in the same image. This is why I named the forum I referred to earlier as "iamthatiam.boards.net" because that is a first-person formulation of the third-person Allah. The forum proposes that people should be like 'Who Is', i.e. to be 'Who Is'.
Muslim is not a label, and that much you are correct. Muslim is a condition of being. Your faith is a matter of Being, who you are and what you make of yourself.
You also need to highlight to your preached crowd that the main problem of humans is their very own body. This body is what drives people to be slaves and unconscious. One must seek their one Spirit and understand/take/find their part. Please take this as constructive criticism.

Quran 367 Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Nazarene, but he was a monotheist who submitted (hanifaan musliman); he was not of the polytheists.
The Quran suggests that God has named/called us muslims (submitters/peacemakers).
Quran 2278 Strive hard for God as is His due He has chosen you and placed no hardship in your religion, the faith of your forefather Abraham. God has called you Muslims (al-muslimina)??both in the past and in this ??so that the Messenger can bear witness about you and so that you can bear witness about other people. So keep up the prayer, give the prescribed alms, and seek refuge in God He is your protector??an excellent protector and an excellent helper.

Not exactly, this person basically understands. He just needs to refine his terminology in order to convey his message in a more clear manner so that it does not seem like nonsense to a lot of people. The person could have worked this out by his own logic and he made a fine job.
And I am not seeing people as competition. I have a mission and I speak what I have to tell, and people like him basically tell the same as I do and it is just about conveying it in the best possible manner.
