The most common amongst Sunnis is the 6 books you mention, particularly Bukhari and Muslim.

In terms of most authentic, you can make up your mind using mathematics

Ironically, Traditional Muslims will tell you need so much knowledge to understand weak/strong, "science" of Hadith etc, just tell them all you need is 14 mins per hadith and watch them laugh in your face and mock you for suggesting such a thing, then watch their faces drop when you tell them that's what Bukhari did.

    ;D

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

      Wakas,

Read some of the collected so called "fabricated" hadiths. What Mr Bukhari and his friends did was just throw away the hadiths that seem extremely stupid or had the chance to create problem in what they were trying to market. Even a 4 year old can do this without the need for science of gossips. That said the fabricated hadiths are not as funny as the ones found in their sahih books.

      Enjoy the list

These are all declared as false/weak

      Collection of stupid hadiths
Prayer should be repeated from blood the size of a dirham

Whoever narrates/says something, and sneezes at it (whilst saying it), then
      it is true

When one of you dies, and you have buried him, then let one of you stand by
his head and tell him Oh, Fulan son of Fulana! (i.e. call him by his name and his
mother's name) And he will listen . Then say Oh, Fulan
son of Fulana! And he will sit up? remember what you left this Dunia (world) with
the testimony that there is not God, but Allah one and only ? etc.

The Black Stone is Allah's right hand on earth with which He shakes the
      hands of His slaves

I am the Son of the two Slaughtered Ones

Ablution should be repeated from the flowing Ru?aaf (blood out of nose)

Everything has a bride, and the bride of the Quran is Surah Al Rahman

Do not let water be the last of your meal

Abd Ar-Rahman Ibn `Awf enters Paradise crawling

Hadiths which went against the blind faith they were promoting

He who is boldest from you in giving religious verdicts (fatwas), will be the
boldest in proceeding to the Fire)

One Hour of Contemplation is better than Sixty years of Worship

Seek knowledge even if in China (i.e. even as far away as China)

The believer is courteous, clever and alert

Seeking Halal (the lawful) is a form of Jihad, and Allah loves the believer
who is professional (adopts a profession)

Fear the intuition of a believer as he sees with the Light of Allah

Abu Bakr excelled/surpassed men not by much fasting or prayer, but by
something which deeply has embedded itself in his heart (by something which rested
      in his bosom

The Penitent (the one who repents) is beloved unto God

The generous man is near Allah, near paradise, near men and far from hell,
but the miserly man is far from Allah, far from paradise, far from men and near
hell. Indeed, an ignorant man who is generous is dearer to Allah than a worshipper
      who is miserly

Allah -all Mighty- said whoso hath not been pleased with My decree and
hath not been patient under the ill I assign him, then let him seek another Lord than
      Me

The master (leader) of the people (nation) is the one who serves them

As you are, so will be your leaders

Truly, hearts rust just as iron rusts, and their polishing is Istighfar (seeking
      forgiveness

Wisdom is the lost property of every Wise (Hakeem). Wherever he finds it,
he is more deserving to it)

Do not talk much without remembering Allah, for indeed, too much talk
without the remembrance of Allah hardens the heart. And indeed the people who
are farthest away from Allah are the ones who have hardened hearts

Almighty Allah states I am Allah. Besides Me there is no being to be
worshipped. I am the Master of the king and the King of all kings. The hearts of
kings are in My Hands. When people obey My Commands, I position Mercy and
tolerance in the hearts of kings. When they disobey Me and become rebellious, their
hearts are returned towards evil and oppression. People should not, therefore,
      waste their time insulting kings?

Musa once wondered Does Allah ?all Mighty- sleep? So Allah sent to him an
Angel, who kept Musa awake for three, and then gave Musa two bottles
one in each hand ? after that Musa slept and the two bottles fell from his hands
and broke. He said Allah has given him an example, that if Allah slept then the
heavens and the earth would not have been upheld)
without the remembrance of Allah hardens the heart. And indeed the people who
are farthest away from Allah are the ones who have hardened hearts

Musnad Ahmad, a collection of Hadiths containing some hadiths that stipulate that the Prophet said 'not to write down hadiths' ..hilarious.

He was believed to be "too traditionalist" by some Islamic jurists. He was also the teacher of both Abu dawud and Muslim (read musslim) and was given the title of "Sheikh Al Islam" (Master Of Islam).

Though He did a great job at keeping the following hadiths in his book

Abu Said al-Khudri said, Ishaq ibn Isa told me that Abdul Rahman ibn Zaid told us that his father said about Ata ibn Yasar who said that Abu Hurayrah said We were sitting down writing what we heard from the prophet. He entered the room and asked us What are you writing? We said We are writing what we hear from you. He said Another book next to the book of Allah? We said It is what we hear from you. He said Then write the book of Allah, uphold the book of Allah, no other books but the book of Allah, uphold the book of Allah. Abu Hurayrah said So we collected all that we wrote and burnt it. Then we asked the prophet Can we talk about you? He said Yes you can and feel no shame of it, and whoever lies about me deliberately his seat in hell will be secured. Abu Hurayrah said Can we talk about Bani Israel? He said Yes you can and feel no shame of it...

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 10611

Ismail told us that Hammam ibn Yahya narrated from Zaid ibn Aslam who narrated from Yasar who stated that Abi Saeed said The messenger of Allah said, "Do not write anything I say but the Quran and whoever writes anything but the Quran should delete it."

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 10713

Shu?aib told us that Hammam said that Zaid ibn Aslam narrated from Ibn Yassar who stated that Abi Saeed said The messenger of Allah said, "Do not write anything I say except the Quran and whoever writes anything but the Quran should delete it."

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 10715

Yazid told us that Hammam ibn Yahya narrated from Zaid ibn Aslam who narrated from Yassar who said that Abi Saeed stated The messenger of Allah said, "Do not write anything I say except the Quran and whoever writes anything but the Quran should delete it."

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 10781

Abu Ubayda told us that Hammam ibn Yahya narrated from Zaid ibn Aslam who narrated from Yassar who stated that Abi Saeed said The messenger of Allah said, "Do not write anything I say except the Quran and whoever writes anything should delete it."

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 10966

Affan told us that Hammam told us that Zaid ibn Aslam narrated from Ibn Yassar who stated that Abi Saeed said The messenger of Allah said do not write anything I say but the Quran and whoever writes anything but the Quran should delete it.

        Musnad Ahmad, Hadith Number 11160

I said just the sect name and compilers of narrations. This is a thread that is probably soon to be going forgotten because of all the discussions that it will have.

Also, i already mentioned the 6 compilers/narrators, there was no need to mention certain narrations from those books. Have you even read the whole post that i did made ignore?

But yeah guys, you are right there are so many contradictions. Impossible what Bukhari did, i wonder how much time he got left to read the Quran.

May the Lord guide humanity, we should spread the message of "Quran alone". What about making youtube videos, using social media? Take your chance! Especially those who are learning Arabic, spread the Message because i do not know if Arabs even dare to think outside the box. I often think, what kind of faith would i have if i grew up in a place in Saudi Arabia, or Iran, or Syria. In the end God is Almighty, and it's He who Guides of course!

            ;D

Anyways, you started discussing. So.., how many narrations do you think were the same of these 600.000? Were they all unique? If they were not all unique it makes your calculation not correct.

Anyways, what made me turn away from these books is just the cult, indoctrination, contradictions etc. and what made it worse is that they propagate it in the name of Mohammed.
Also just look at how God talks about the Torah and the Gospel, as a Guidance and a Light, and He honored the Psalms and David, the King of Israel which did strive for Zion. And compare that view with the view of these people that act like how the "HAMAS" and groups like "ISIS" act today.

Oh, about "ISIS". The whole Sunni world claims to follow the books of bukhari/muslem/ibn madja etc. but it's only groups like "ISIS" who practise such books. Who wouldn't dream about an "Islamic state"? Who wouldn't dream about "a free ticket to paradise"? Who wouldn't dream about "taking like 70 people according to your own desire with you to paradise" etc.?

As long as we are speaking about sects, please include in your list

                    "Christian" sect
                    Paul

Modern day Christianity is heavily influenced by Paul, it is even termed Paulinian doctrine.
Modern day Christianity takes its major teaching from letters of Paul and forgot the letters written in red.
There was clear enmity between Paul and the disciples. Add the fact that Paul did not even know the Messiah, Isa and that Isa warned his disciples and followers of a false prophet.
If I take the letters written by Paul at face value, then a clear example and evidence of Paul inventing his own religion is when he claims that everything is lawful for food.
Whilst Isa clearly said he has not come to change the laws of the prophets.
Therefore your average Christian(a vast majority) has chosen to follow a false prophet like the average Sunni, Shiite, Salafi and so on have chosen to follow false prophets.

                    Judean sect
Pick any of your rabbinic authority of choice responsible for Talmud if they are identifiable

I don't think I need to really explain this further look at the majority of the present day "practicing Jews".
Perhaps this term alone suffices goyim

They're all pathetic sectarians let's not single out any of them.
If you hold that we are all brothers of the Book then don't be partial in your criticizing of the corruptors and the astray.

Actually I want to ask because all this ties together.... You use a lot of citations from the Bible, a newly converted Quran Alone Muslim who was before a Christian may be enticed by such methodology.
Could you really spread the Message of Old Testament Alone or New Testament Alone, as you wish to be done with Quran Alone?
I say this because a lot of acquaintances attempt to show me through bible verses that Jesus is God and that he is His only begotten son by citing John and other evangelical books. It is in the Bible.
Perhaps you and I understand that such is not true but what rationale can you supply a Christian to convince them that it is a falsehood if you yourself claim with no restriction that the Quran strongly suggests that the people of these books should judge with these books?

I patiently await an intelligent and thoughtful response addressing my points.

                    Thank you in advance

Romans 11 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God?

1 Corinthians 91 Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not the result of my work in the Lord?

Acts 1414 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting

Acts 152 This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.

Acts 1522 Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers.

1 Corinthians 11 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

Galatians 11 Paul, an apostle?sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead?

Ephesians 11 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God?s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus

Colossians 11 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

1 Timothy 11 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 Timothy 11 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in keeping with the promise of life that is in Christ Jesus,

Titus 11 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God?s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness?

An English translation of the Quran - 2946 And do not argue with the people of the Book except in that which is better; except for those who are wicked among them; and say "We believe in what was revealed to us and in what was revealed to you, and our god and your god is the same; to Him we submit."

                                    "we believe.."

"in what was revealed to us" ..

                                    "and" ..

"in what was revealed to you" ..

An English translation of the Quran - 566 And if they had upheld the Torah and the Gospel, and what was sent down to them from their Lord, they would have been rewarded from above them and from beneath their feet. From among them is a pious nation, but most of them only do evil.

                                    "and"..

An English translation of the Quran - 568 Say "O people of the Book, you are not upon anything until you uphold the Torah and the Gospel and what was sent down to you from your Lord." And for many of them, what was sent down to you from your Lord will only increase them in transgression and rejection. So do not feel sorry for the rejecting people.

"you are not upon anything until you uphold the Torah and the Gospel", of course if you reject the Law that was send by God to Moses, of course if you reject the Gospel which was preached with an abundance of Love by the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary.

And lets not forget the Sabbath.

An English translation of the Quran - 447 O you who have received the Book, believe in what We have sent down authenticating what is with you, before We cast down faces and turn them on their backs or curse them as the people of the Sabbath were cursed. And the will of God is always done.

"authenticating what is with you", don't act like you know what Christianity is.

An English translation of the Quran - 33 He sent down to you the Book with the truth, authenticating what is between his hands; and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel.

So..., who are you to tell others that the Torah and the Gospel are corrupt and not the word of God?

An English translation of the Quran - 239 And those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, they are the dwellers of Hell, in it they will abide.

Turn back o people! Fear God. Stop following these people who try to tell you they left Christianity and that the Word of God is empty.

You have finally exposed yourself nope

And lets not forget the Sabbath.

You like to cite the Quran only when it is convenient for you, besides citing the Quran to support what you think is the Torah and Injeel it does not seem you know much of what the Quran actually says.

You know not the Quran if you claim there is a sabbath.

                                      16124

Innama juAAila alssabtu AAala allatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wa-inna rabbaka layahkumu baynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona

Only was appointed the Sabbath for those who differed in it. And indeed, your Lord will surely judge between them (on) the Day (of) the Resurrection in what they used (to) differ.

So..., who are you to tell others that the Torah and the Gospel are corrupt and not the word of God?

Intelligent rational reasoning functioning unsealed minded God-fearing individuals. That's who we are in this matter.
We actually ponder and do not follow our desires like you have demonstrated by your inability to raise sound argument or address the flaws in your reasoning and methodology.

You'd have to be unable to read or comprehend apparent language or speech to claim that the Bible as is today is not corrupt.
Do you then say the Bible is right in claiming Isa is the son of God?

You have also exposed your desires by your most recent icon-avatar profile pic (Isa was not crucified)

Turn back o people! Fear God. Stop following these people who try to tell you they left Christianity and that the Word of God is empty.

                                      So much to address here....

                                      1. First, please take several seats...we have not insinuated at all that the Word of God is empty and bearing such false misleading accusations upon believers will be accounted for on your record undoubtedly

                                      2. The fact that you think that Christianity has anything to do with the deen shows your lack of knowledge in Classical Arabic and Quran. How are you going to give lessons in Arabic when you have misunderstood that Christianity is the made-up name of a sect that is completely unrelated to the Nasara in the Quran?? You should reconsider teaching until you have actually learned.
The Nasara were nothing like what the Christians are today. Nasara does not even translate to Christian. Hint it is related to a response the disciples gave Isa. And the name Nasara is directly related to Allah not Jesus unlike the name Christian. Christ stems from greek and it is somewhat of a translation of the word Messiah. Complete idol worship even in the name of the denomination.

                                      3. You think the Torah and Injeel are the complete Word of God, yet you are unable to explain how people are supposed to judge with a book that tells them that Jesus is God and that Jesus is God's only begotten son and that Mary had a husband and that Lut slept with his daughters and that Moses attributed a miracle to himself, a book that tells them they must mutilate their private parts a book that claims Allah rested on the seventh day after creation....etcc..
You can't address these simple issues and all you do is cite the same verses over and over (which by the way is sort of spam)

We believe in God's verses and we know that what we have today is either heavily corrupt or not at all the original.

The Quran and Torah are supposed to share similarity but the structure, form and writing prose is considerably different.
In Quran Allah often addresses the Messenger in singular form (you), Allah authorizes many verses as "These are the Verses of your Lord" and so many more, Allah is The indisputable Narrator, while that is not the case at all for the Old Testament.

The Injeel is an other story, although it was supposed to a book sent down to Isa we see not this as the case. We see biographies written about Isa and the narrators are clearly the authors (whoever they may be) not Allah.

We are not saying that we disbelieve in what the Quran refers to as Torah and Injeel we are saying that you have misidentified those books as Old Testament and New Testament

My reason, experience and understanding leads me to perceive that the Previous Scripture mentioned in the Quran was nothing like what we have today.
The bible is highly blasphemous (claiming God had a son and that a prophet is God) and that alone indicates that it is at the least corrupt.

Please for YOUR own benefit reconsider your unevidenced erroneous position and ponder carefully over what I presented to you.
Perhaps our Lord may guide you to the sound way.

Your "list" of statements already is wrong at point 1, go reread the thread. Really, i do not care about what you say except you sharing the Quranic verses.

Anyways, An English translation of the Quran - 16124 Indeed, the Sabbath was only decreed for those who had disputed in it, and your Lord will judge between them for that in which they had disputed.

The point is that you are disputing it, so that's why it's decreed for you? I advice you to read the Torah to grasp the context of this verse, it's a Guidance and a Light, send by God!

An English translation of the Gospel - Luke 65 Then Jesus said to them, ?The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.?

An English translation of the Torah - Exodus 208 ?Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
