    Peace Fallen Angel.

    This is from my understanding

    " Nafs" Means everyone of us/person tastes death.

    Jesus is talking " Nafsi" Means " me"ie (You know my thoughts) " MA FI Nafsika" Means I do not know your thoughts.

    Jesus personified " GOD". We call GOD by some " names". It does not mean GOD is a " nafs"?

    Only my understanding!

    Peace.

      That is right. It is 3isa speaking and uses words which reflect his humanity. It is not God who says He has a nafs.

      On the other hand, nafs is used in the Qur'an in the sense of person, has good logic has pointed out.

      So within it it makes sense that God comes through as a "person", because He communicates wiht persons and we might say sets Himself in a verbal vessel that we can grasp. God we cannot grasp, God speaking to us we may grasp what he wants to say.

      Salaam

        Peace Fallen Angel.

        God also makes the exception ( about not perishing/tasting death) elsewhere in Qoran.

        5526 Everyone on earth perishes.?

        5527 Only the presence of your Lord lasts. Possessor of Majesty and Honour.?

        Peace.

              peace brother
              nafs = creation
              life = timeperiod of the body/self
              death = expiry of body/self
              life and death are created by God hence both are creation too

              so by default he is not a creation so rules of creation cannot b applied to the God

              ( every creation shall taste its expiry )

              Blessing in the name of God

                Nafs = One's person or self. It's likened by a seed (which may grow or rotten away) if you look into etymological data via old lexicons.

                Life, if it's about being alive = It's about the conscious as an independent being as opposed to being dead which refers to the autonomy of being when one is mindlessly following the human bodily nature.

                Death = One can be dead even if seemingly alive in a body while it's a mere illusion and we often dwell among (mentally) dead people without realizing it. If the Nafs isn't grown then one is more or less dead and that is because the mind isn't conceived or activated which is the actual seed to grow.

                You know when i think of death, i feel like we are in a dream and when we ''die'' we actually wake up in the Hereafter.

                  ( every creation shall taste its expiry )

                  That's true from single cellular life up to stars and galaxy.
                  And the same thing also hold for something as abstract as language, nations/empire, religion / ideology.

                  Everything that has a beginning shall have an end...

                  Such idea is being heavily discussed nowadays...

                  "A holographic Universe means information that makes up what we perceive as a 3D reality is stored on a 2D surface, including time. This means, essentially, everything you see and experience is an illusion, like a 'computer game'."

                  The 'inspiration' came from the findings of 2 dimensional object dubbed "Black Hole" which occupies and sucked everything inside 3 dimensional space. Well 4 dimensional actually... as black hole sucked space and time...
