    Peace huruf.
All I know for sure is what Qoran says.
GOD is saying every time a prophet messenger or messenger was sent to them, some they did not believe and ridiculed or some they killed.

I take it you want verses from Qoran of the prophets they killed?
Well If Qoran did not give details, then I cannot confirm for you which. What we have in history is disputable as Qoran is the only criteria you will accept.
For example John the Baptist, Jesus and some others before them during the reign of the kingdoms after David...

However if Qoran says they killed some ,then I believe they did. For me the details are irrelevant .
    Hope that helps.
    GOD bless you.
    Peace.

I have the idea some are mentionned int he Qur'an. Not Yahia, nor 3isa but others, but my idea is foggy. I thought somebody might have a clearer recollection or knowlege.

I do not think that Quran mentions any names of prophets who were killed by bani israel.

          Thank you for your answers.

I did not mean to restrict it to Bani Israil, but killed by whoever., any prophet killed by people.

          Thank you again.

          Salaam

Tehere are in the Qur'an at least six mentions of prophets being slain.

Since none of those mentionned with name is mentionned as being killed, it would seem that the number of prophets may have been larger than the mention in the Qur'an, just of the people familiar with the previous stories of the recievers of the Qur'an at the time of revelation.

I guess the number of prophets slain worldwide may be high, if those in the circle of the Qura'nic revelation are anything to go by.

Which also says that those who follow the true messages of God may have it easy, but not less may have it crude. Truth many times is very unwellcome.

            Salaam

The basic meanings of the word which is erroneously translated as "slaying" is character assassination.

Thank you. I have been telling the same in my circle but no one believes it. For then qatala means to kill .

I do not think that root q-t-l means always necessarily kill, but I think in the Qur'an many times it means that. Take ayas from 5.27 to 32. I think it means kill. I have no reason to believe in the case where God speaks of killing prophets does not also mean or include int he meaning the fact of killing them. With Musa they were close.

                  Salaam

You are correct, it doesn't. Here is the root word Qaf-Ta-Lam ( &#1604 = to kill, put to death, be accused, slay/murder/kill/slaughter, attempt to kill, render person like to one killed, to wage war/combat/battle, to master, contend/fight, deadly, knew a thing thoroughly/well, become acquainted with it.

                      Peace,

The Quran has ayats about conflict/and being at war, and in war we sometimes kill
and sometimes are killed, as unpleasant and as devastating as conflict can be
this is what happens. Which prophets where killed? I am not aware of
prophets who where killed mentioned in the Quran.
