Salam/Peace dear brothers & sisters, i hope you are doing well. I have a question on the translated 512. Now i noticed something strange in few translations of 512

    512
Walaqad akhatha Allahu meethaqabanee isra-eela wabaAAathna minhumu ithnay AAasharanaqeeban waqala Allahu innee maAAakum la-inaqamtumu alssalata waataytumu alzzakatawaamantum birusulee waAAazzartumoohum waaqradtumuAllaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankumsayyi-atikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree mintahtiha al-anharu faman kafara baAAda thalikaminkum faqad dalla sawaa alssabeeli
God has taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and raised from them twelve representatives, and God said "I am with you if you hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers, and support them, and lend God a loan of righteousness; then I will cancel your sins and admit you into estates with rivers flowing beneath them." Whoever rejects after this from you, then he has strayed from the path.

Now i think you may noticed the phrase i may be referring to but let me make it clear,

    The phrase

and God said "I am with you if you hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers, and support them, and lend God a loan of righteousness; then I will cancel your sins and admit you into estates with rivers flowing beneath them."

The translated part "I am with you if you hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers, and support them, and lend God a loan of righteousness" is the one i find it weird is that why is translation saying "I am with you if you hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers" then saying "and lend God a loan of righteousness" like Allah/God (SWTAY) is using His own title/name as someone else then saying "then I will cancel your sins and admit you into gardens with rivers flowing beneath.". Now i could be completely wrong on my observation but could this be a poor translation?

I shall post this highlighted phrase

waaqradtumuAllaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankumsayyi-atikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree mintahtiha al-anharu

So far i have received one answer from brother Noon Waalqalami

Peace, perhaps it's best to open topic so that others can contribute as well -- if the god is with anyone then none can oppose them.

512 and surely took the god agreement sons/children Israel and raise we of among them two ten (12) leaders of and said the god indeed I with you surely if establish you the connection and give you the recompense its and believe you in messengers mine and assist ye them and loan you the god loan of best of surely shall reject about you evil deeds yours and surely enters we you gardens flow from underneath it the rivers so who reject after such your among you so verily misguide sawa/equitable l-sabli/the path

Thanks for the answer brother. Allah/The God (SWTAY) bless you.

      Allah I Me We
I think there are many like this .

Jibril is narrating Allah took a covenant then telling we (angels) appointed a leader than quoting what Allah said.

Or I think that's the Sunnah of allah

        Allah I Me We

I made a comment on that specific topic in https//www.facebook.com/groups/530609090483630/permalink/719731998238004/?comment_id=719740711570466&comment_tracking=%7B%22tn%22%3A%22R9%22%7D

I found something interesting brother because i checked from 2025 to 2035, Musa referred to Allah/God (SWTAY) in singular, here check the arabic of the verses

        2025
        Qala rabbi ishrah lee sadree

        2026
        Wayassir lee amree

        2027
        Waohlul AAuqdatan min lisanee

        2028
        Yafqahoo qawlee

        2029
        WaijAAal lee wazeeran min ahlee

        2030
        Haroona akhee

        2031
        Oshdud bihi azree

        2032
        Waashrik-hu fee amree

        2033
        Kay nusabbihaka katheeran

        2034
        Wanathkuraka katheeran

        2035
        Innaka kunta bina baseeran

Then Allah/God (SWTAY) responded in plurality as you said

        2036
        Qala qad ooteeta su/laka yamoosa

        2037
        Walaqad mananna AAalayka marratanokhra

To me that is interesting. By i checked the arabic in Quranix.org. Yes i can't arabic but Alhamdullilah/Praise be to Allah (SWTAY) Quranix.org arabic grammar check helped me to find out.

        What do you think akhi?

That's interesting. Do you have any verses from Qur'an confirms it?

              Salaam

I understand your confusion. Maybe i did not do a good explaining myself. My question was about this translated phrase

and God said "I am with you if you hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification, and believe in My messengers, and support them, and lend God a loan of righteousness; then I will cancel your sins and admit you into estates with rivers flowing beneath them."

Why does this translated phrase indicating Allah (SWTAY) using His own title in third-person (if that's the correct term) then referring Himself in first-person?

This is the original arabic phrase

waaqradtumuAllaha qardan hasanan laokaffiranna AAankumsayyi-atikum walaodkhilannakum jannatin tajree mintahtiha al-anharu

Or I think that's the Sunnah of allah

                Recommend examining the word sunnah in these verses 3137, 426, 838, 1513, 1777, 1777, 1855, 3338, 3362, 3362, 3543, 3543, 3543, 4085, 4823, 4823

Plus leaving the root word of sunnah.

Siin-Nun-Nun = to clean (the teeth), seize with the teeth, establish the law, follow a path, form. sinnun - tooth. sunnatun/sunanun - line of conduct, mode of life, behaviour, example, dispensation. masnun - formed, made/moulded into shape, polished, shiny and bright (face).

                sanna vb. (1)
                pcple. pass. 1526, 1528, 1533
                sinn n.f. 545, 545
                sunnah n.f. (pl. sunan) 3137, 426, 838, 1513, 1777, 1777, 1855, 3338, 3362, 3362, 3543, 3543, 3543, 4085, 4823, 4823

                LL, V4, p 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164 ## http//ejtaal.net/aa/#q=snn
