    Salam brother Novice,

    What is the verse talking about?

    Another question. What about the angels? There are no female angels

    As-Saffat 37150

    Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"

    In light of also these,

    What is this verse 5149 talking about

    God bless you

    "There are no female angels "

    Is that what the aya says? I do not think so.

    Salaam

      SLM Huruf,

      Quran 5327

      Indeed, those who (do) not believe in the Hereafter, surely they name the Angels name(s) (of) female.
      https//www.islamawakened.com/quran/53/27

      can i say if i think angels are female , then do i not beleave in hereafter , ill be a KFR

      again dont get me wrong , i dont know the gender of a angel ( actually , for me is it irrilevant at this moment)

      May Allah guide us to the strait path

        thats very intelligent of you brother jaffar,

        how you explained the perfect pairs.

        now its time to see imperfect pairs.
        male and female ( lady boy and manly girl ) in fewer cases.

        i think theres is a degree in between everything from high to low.
        even in perfect pairs we find ourselves in middle sometimes.

        destruction / creation = (work in process)
        falsehood /truth =( mix of truth with lies )

        @ centi i know verse is not talking about SEXes its about pairs and i told you some imperfect pairs in creation of SEXes of animals and plant. at first i also was thinking its about male and female sex ages ago. but on a broader level its just not about sex its about TWO apparent sides of one thing.examples pairing in electricity, pair of your ownself, -ve/+ve in batteries, hardware/software etc

        what i m telling its better to take religious text as metaphorical.

        literal understanding is dangerous in most of the religious texts one should be careful speically when we have technology to get help.

        about the lizards what i am asking is how those species come into existence without the help of male cells ? is there is anything in biology that allow you to generate something without missing cells ?

        Salam brother Imran,

        I was asking a similar line of question if there is a species which had never had a male cell thing in its history at all.

        In regards to that lizard there is a male lizard but those female ones can reproduce without male cells chromosome or whatever i.e they don't need male to reproduce.

        People with biology knowledge should help us here.

        Have you heard of virgin births? You can read here a little
        http//www.bbc.com/earth/story/20141219-spectacular-real-virgin-births

        So what does that verse mean if not sexes because I didn't understand brother Jafar
        Or it means God created two kinds of the same thing/species ?.

        Another question what about the angels? Obviously they are not females as it's said in the Quran
        But I cannot say they are males too coz it's not mentioned. Again does that verse include angels?

        Damn I am so confused

        Help help

        God bless you all

              Slm,

              Interesting , i didnt look at this way .....

              word shayin -->
              http//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=$yA#(51493)

              everthing , is this also none living or only living or both ?

              first, i dont think Angels they are created , like it said before ( another thread) appointed from other other beings , i self think these being were jins because they were before insaan. and jins were also in both sexe....
              so if i think logical , both sexe must be available unless Allah removes the gender. now also this Allah dont tells us everthing , only thing what we need to know.

              thx for the reply

                male and female ( lady boy and manly girl ) in fewer cases.

                Everything is perfect.. once you put away any 'judging' attitude and take things "as it is".
                It was not "opposite" but it's more of "complementary".

                Stop judging and start appreciating..

                That includes your example of "male - female and anything in between".
                There are male in female and female in male.. the portions varies in degree...
                And it's all normal and perfect.

                When everyone in the world sees beauty,
                Then ugly exists.
                When everyone sees good,
                Then bad exists.

                Therefore
                What is and what is not create each other.
                Difficult and easy complement each other.
                Tall and short shape each other.
                High and low rest on each other.
                Voice and tone blend with each other.
                First and last follow each other.

                So, the wise acts by doing nothing,
                Teaches without speaking,
                Attends all things without making claim on them,
                Works for them without making them dependent,
                Demands no honor for his deed.
                Because he demands no honor,
                He will never be dishonored.

                  Salaam centi50

                  What is the verse talking about?

                  (zawjain) is a masculine dual noun. It could be "two masculine entities" or "one masculine and one feminine entity". (zawj) could refer to a spouse, a pair, a type, a species, a kind etc. These pairs complement each other.

                  My understanding about 5149 is similar to what brother jafar has written.

                  https//www.advantour.com/img/china/taoism/taoism.jpg
                  Death <-> Life
                  Falsehood <-> Truth
                  Destruction <-> Creation
                  Anti Matter <-> Matter
                  Evil <-> Good
                  Arrogance <-> Humility

                  Without the opposites we cannot tell the difference.

                  So these pairs, types, kinds etc compliment each other.

                  Quran has used (malik) and (al-malaikatu). These words are masculine nouns. They means controllers.

                    So verse 5149 can go like this maybe

                    And in everything have We created oppos?ites, perhaps you may remember.

                    Does everything means aslo inanimate things? If not why?

                    Inregards to maikaikatu /controllers /angels or whatever people refers to them, are you implying they are males only? Or I didn't understand u maybe

                      We know very little about the creation. We have learned about gravity and anti-gravity, matter and anti-matter etc. so inanimate things are included.

                      We have not detailed information about "malaikas" so cannot say what their construction is. The noun "malaika" is masculine but does not mean they are males, as we understand a male.

                      Like for God Quran uses "huwa" which means He (not a gender specific) because in Arabic "huwa" is used for anything unless address is to feminine entities only.

                      God bless you.

                        Hi everyone...
                        I am afraid that again this topic also drag to malak and jinn.... Anyway there is link...
                        In response to female malaika....Has God stated in Quran female Jinns dear centi??? If your understanding is that iblees was malak and he became Jinn then, we got to deduce females are created in Jinn... Exploring QURAN and direct verses are different things.. If things are direct no need of exploration... 726 """ Males of human sought refuge in Males of Jinn....so there is rijal In Jinn... If all Jinns are rijjal then no need to specify here.. Further Jinn has sexual life with opposite gender... Quran proves...
                        We are aware malaika are Jinns by creature... But the malaika are males or females.. That's a concern for Centi ... In fact Malika are chosen ones for certain tasks as of human prophets for example... Are these chosen ones malaika include females.. Doubtful.. But conjecture cannot be truth... Not a single reference even malaika who came to earth as messengers referred as males.. At least to the one who visited the one and only female whose name is printed in the entire quran.. But for her also God sent male unfortunately.. God chose with intent....

                        Malika are chosen group among Jinns...even among those malaika the malaika messengers are chosen... Allah never created Malika but jinn... It is only the people say that...people's conjecture always malaika are another creature.... That's why what people say that Allah chosen females... Allah used the word khalaq in front of malaika in 37150 with reason not coz Allah created(khalaq) malaika.. Coz that's what people used to say and that same thing was ordered to Mohamed to ask from them... In the end God says they are liars and they 5327-28 these liars and those who took the conjecture over the truth labelled malika as females for which Allah refuse... Allah didn't give the status of Malika to female Jinns... When these liars were claiming and calling Malika by female names, allah won't simply reject totally if at least one female Malika were among them... It's all their conjecture.. No females in malaaika
                        Every creature has two genders as per QURAN... Male and female... Malika is not a creature or gender but a status as of Human Messenger but only given to males among those creatures.. Allah's choice is unchangeable.... For whatever the reason Allah chose (Asthafa) males for his entrusted tasks and duties..
                        That's my conviction based on QURAN..
                        Pls explore whip tail lizard or any other in flora and fauna ... Let the topic go forward in that... Let's go ahead with what is physically verifiable rather than invisible ones...

                            Salam to All,

                            Brother Imran asked a very good question. How did this Whiptail came into existence.

                            I found out its a result of hybridization of a sexual species of the lizard. The female hybrids start to produce clones distinct from either parental species. In other words, they instantly become a new species of their own.

                              From everything We created a pair, perhaps you may remember. (5149)

                              Some species of these small southwestern lizards (Whiptail Lizard) are all-female.
                              producing offspring all on their own, without needing a complementary male set of chromosomes.

                              And this

                              Help me understand the verse in light of the above phenomenon

                              Possible explanation

                              Clarification

                              The ayah didn't say "Everything", rather it said "from/of everything ". It's an arabic expression used to mean "many/ a lot of".

                              Let's examine other ayahs first

                              1- God says in surat Annaml 2723

                              Sahih International
                              Indeed, I found a woman ruling them, and she has been given of all things, and she has a great throne.

                              In the same surah ayah 16

                              Sahih International
                              And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."

                              We don't need to say that Sulayman- Peace be upon him- and the woman didn't have "every thing" but they were given "from" every thing as the woman's kingdom wasn't given to Sulayman and vise versa. It refers to those things only which are needed by the government or an empire. Otherwise it is obvious that they did not have cars or railways in those days. It means that whatever services are needed to a king or an aristocrat according to their time, they all were available to her. It is, however, obvious that those things that were not available to them, their unavailability is not in conflict with this verse.

                              ....

                                God bless you all

                                I found this interesting from reddit

                                    I think that it is the most logical explanation.
