What does the root 3bd (ع ب د) means as per Quran?

I agree, we believers are not enemies of one another, let's not judge too harshly
because we are all on our own journey.I have a question that has been with me a long time, and it is
Of all the sects, opinions, debates regarding times of salat, how many salats,
number of rakats, etc., "why is there an agreement that there is no salat between fajr and zuhr"?&
There is no agreement among sects.. They do all sorts of things... I don't about the place u live but in my place and I'm subcontinent there are people who pray after Fajr calling nafl prayer and once sun risen and also before so called zuhr (I. E Wusta) they pray nafl.... And differs people to people how many rakat....no agreement... There could be more unknown...

Peace jkhan, I think you misunderstand me, I am not referring to nafl and
sunna prayers before and after the obligatory prayers, but an independent
salat between the two.peace

Yeah sure got u wrong... Coz I thought any prayers... But anyhow people pray for God.. What is that obligatory and the other one... That's not strange... Leave that... But there who pray obligatory on different way....
For example they consider it obligatory without it is sin according to them...- two eid prayers of it falls on Friday then most pray eid salah that is between Fajr and zuhr and they don't pray zuhr which is called jumma.... They skip.. So they automatically pray a so called obligatory during that period...
- janasa prayer... Not praying janasa by atleast small group for a dead man they consider a son and it obligatory on their book.. So when one janasa is done duirng that period that's obligatory even they delay zuhr for that purpose...
- and here comes eclipses.... And eclipses prayer.. Whenever there is even a minor eclipses whether they see or not just when informed in media they pray the other morning... It is must for them and at least one group shoud pray otherwise all in sin.. So intention is obligatory...
There could be more I can't recollect...
Is that what u were asking Hawk...

shukraan jazilaan good brother I am looking for why no salat between fajr
and zuhr. My instincts tells me it has something to do with the sun. hmmI am not aware of the eclipse prayer, anyway I won't be making it.

God guide you....Okay here goes, pr The sun was the principal idol before and after Islam.
Many cultures turned to it for blessings in the form of sustenance and
peace of mind with regards to plant growth. That is why we pray before
the sun appears and after it begins to decline. And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not
prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah , who created them,
if it should be Him that you worship.my two cents

I was wondering why there is no salat between fajr and zuhr,
not including sunna and nafl as brother jkhan highlighted.
If you have knowledge or a theory please share. For instance, Catholics The have
The Good Friday Morning Prayer is at 800 A.M and
the Easter Sunrise prayer is after sunrise at 645 am
April 1, 2019, while fajr begins at 0529 am and sunrise is at 0644 am.peace

Going by traditional schedule there is no prayer between zuhar and Asr or Asr and Maghrab or Mughrab and Isha or Isha and Fajr.
So what is the point? What I am missing?
-

What you are missing is that you can pray anytime up to the next
prayer with the ones you mentioned. For instance, after the call to
prayer for zuhr you can pray zuhr close to asr, but you cannot pray
fajr close to zuhr i.e., no prayer between the two, the question is why? -

May I know what is the source of this restriction? Does Quran give this command or is it from the learned scholars of Islam?
Salaam.

Actually I was asking you and other members for their take on it!
I gave a short synopsis in a previous post
