From the above verse I deduce that God said that the devil and Mankind will be enemies. Or maybe I am wrong.
Second question is Adam a race or single being?

The above tell me here Adam is a single being.
230 Your Lord said to the controllers, "I am placing a successor on earth." They said, "Would You place in it he who would corrupt it, and shed blood, while we sing Your glory, and praise You?" He said, "I know what you do not know
Could this verse mean that the angels were wondering that God is going to create a being same as the one which is on earth shedding blood and corruption. Could the being that was on earth be the Jinn species so as for angels thinking That the human species will do same as the jinn species shredding blood?

God, in the Qur'an gives too many hints as to the make up of humans for those who read it to expect that God is going to pander to our laziness or our childish expectations that everything has to be given to us to spare us the trouble of daring to think for ourselves, out of the box, if need be, and again, be given everything so we do not have to do any effort. That is what religion is for , isn'it?
That is the way many of us have been taught to feel in religious matters. But the Qur'an seems to disagree strongly with that. And when it is dealt wih in such a way, as if we were helpless children or helpless idiots, takes its revenge as it says itself too many times and too plainly. The Qur'n only enlightens those who want to be enlightened by it. Those who merely want to be spared the trouble of thinking, will be spared that trouble all right, but the price is something else.

As Parvez Ahmad said this verse hints that there might be a messenger named Adam. And this is the only verse where Adam is named with other messengers. At other places in Quran chain of messengers start with Noah.

Quran was revealed in a language known to the messenger and his audience very well. They were literary people of highest calibre. Quran did not start a new language called Arabic rather the language was existing there to receive the Last communication from our Creator by the people.
