I was wondering for a little while, can God actually make someone else a god or give up being God himself if he wanted to? Or can he create another god? Is it possible for him? Isn't everything possible for him since he can do anything?
I feel horrible asking but these questions have been bugging me for a while because I want to understand God's nature...
P.s. is it haram to ask this sort of question? I'm asking out of curiosity of the nature of God...

There is no 'forbidden' question, as those who ask shall receive... and through mistakes we'll learn.
Your question is only valid within a context when you perceive / think the word "God" means a deity, a human king, an entity which is finite (has borders / limit of presence) and are separated from the rest of 'creation'. As such you can point to a location and say "God is here" and "God is not there" or vice versa "God is there" and "God is not here". And also God is going there and God is moving away from here.
People of the past perceived the word "God" as such. A deity who acted more like a human king, living high in the sky or sitting on top of a holy mountain or even having presence only within specific location (a temple, a box, inside statue etc..). Within such viiew the notion of "I am going to X to visit God" or "I am going to X saying goodbye to God" is valid.
With the above perception, the notion of there are many Gods become valid. More than that God has gender too, there are male God and female God called Goddesses. Each God compete with each others as thus hate each others and is not uncommon to find war among the Gods. Roman Gods declaring war against Athenian Gods, Sumerian Gods against Bactrian Gods, God of Israel against Gods of Egyptians etc.. etc..
Each group of Gods might have their own religion with temple and priest and do active recruitment to enlist troops among human to support their inter-Gods conflict and war. And the least of them all is found among culture with duality of God, the God of Good who are warring against it's rival the God of Evil (Dualism). Such was the situation within polytheism era...
Within Monotheism, God is infinite, without any border / limits. Projected into 4 dimensional space an infinite God is everywhere and all throughout the time. Such definition then by nature conclude there is only one God. As there is only one infinity that could possibly exist.
There is no chance that two or more infinity to exist, as by then there will be two or more finite elements, there will be border between element A and element B which rends both to be finite (has border / limit). In other words, that is the reason why there is only one God in the first place since God is an ultimate infinity.
This concept is defined beautifully within math with the symbol of ∞.
Back to your question, if you are assuming the word God within polytheism perspective then the answer is YES. And you can find plenty story and mythology to support that as well, a God named Odin create a God named Thor and designate Thor as God of (only) the Thunder and there is a story where a God having sex with human and give birth to hybrid God-Human creature such as the story of God Zeus getting married / having sex with human named Alcmene and then Alcmene give birth to Hercules, the son of Zeus. Hercules is a God and also a human.
But if you're assuming the word God within monotheism context then all of your questions is a "Huuuh?", all become invalid questions in the first place. The question redefined In Math symbol this will be Can ∞ create another ∞.? Could there exist 2 ∞ or 3 ∞ or 4 ∞.? Is there a number which are bigger than ∞ or smaller than -∞ ?

There is no harm in asking this particular question.
Actually I touched on it in my reply to your other thread. I will summarize belowLogically, since GOD is absolute, there can only be one GOD. Impossible to have more than one GOD. Why?
Absolute means the first and last, the original...etc. i.e if everything else disappears GOD will still remain. everything else will be relative and comparable which by definition cannot be "GOD".
So why does not GOD create another"god"?( This is logically false because)
1- There will be two gods at least. Which one then will design ,create and takes charge/ A problem!
2- How will the two systems or more co exist?Actually GOD can create and delegate(give power to the creation) but GOD must remain with the whole power over all.
Like the example of Iblis, his GOD given power led him to become independent and rebellious to GOD.Simply the definition of GOD is "there can only be one GOD".

If there were gods in them (heaven and earth) except for God, then they would have been ruined...
The question you ask is a paradox/contradiction, e.g. since God is considered to have infinite power it is not possible to have separate entities each with infinite power. Infinite power, by definition, means encompasses everything, there is no start and end, there is no separation. If such a thing was possible chaos would result which I believe is what the verse above alludes to.

Your question is totally against the fundamental of God's order and the basic of belief.. "La ilaha illallah " No god but Allah/God...
If God said so... He won't create any such god/s.. Does He?
Even if any claim so, no no no.. He can do anything so He can create god or gods or goddess.. Then I say No... God cannot create... God has His uniqueness to deserve as God that He has explained in quran...
If He create as you claim a god then it can only be His son or daughter.. Does He deserve a son or daughter? Is it His nature.. He rejects such claims vehemently...
Whatever God created are His slaves, None but slaves even how powerful they could be...
Don't you see how much God is against calling Jesus as son of God.. It's a great blasphemy... May be without knowledge what you claim may be a great blasphemy... God save you..
He is purer from creating sons and daughters in the form of gods or goddesses...
Non is equal to Him.. He is the first and the last... So No place for any ignorance...

Also basically if anything is created, it cannot be a god. So whatever GOD creates is only GOD s creation.
However, GOD s creation take on other gods beside GOD Alone .
So GOD has created other gods for those who want them.

That's why the Messenger looked at sky coz he knew where his Lord has presence..

6101-102 Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a SON when He does NOT have a COMPANION and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing. That then is God your Lord; there is no god but He, the Creator of everything. So serve Him, for He is GUARDIAN over everything..
When God says He can't have Son without partner, the. It means He can't.. Any doubt? No way He can... Coz having SON is only through a Female as per God's system..... Same system God claims for Himself... So One who is born to God as son can only be god's son.. so God has no such quality.. That's why He openly say He can't...
Is One God better or god's? That's what God claim...
4381 Say "If (Allah) Most Gracious had a SON, I would be the FIRST to WORSHIP"ponder dear.. Why need to WORSHIP if God had a SON... coz the Son of God is none other but another God..

both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah , Lord of the Throne, above
what they describe.and
Say, "If there were any other gods beside Him, as they claim, they would
have tried to overthrow the Possessor of the throne."Be He glorified, He is much too exalted, far above their utterances.
