245 And seek help through patience and through the Connection. It is enormous, immense, vast, colossal, prodigious / difficult thing but not so, / but only/ for the humble.
2238 Maintain the Connections, and the median, fair / central/ Connection; and stand dutifully for God.
One of the qualities required to hold the Connection to be aware, present minded
443 O you who believe, do not come near the Connection while you are drunk, until you know what you are saying.
591 The devil only wants to cause strife between you through intoxicants and gambling, and to repel you away from remembering God and from the Connection. Will you be deterred?
4103 Once you are done with the Connection, then remember God while standing, or sitting, or on your sides. Then, when you are secure, hold the Connection. Indeed, the Connection for the believers is a book that is scheduled.
672 And you shall hold the Connection, and be aware / waittaqoohu / Protect yourself (hu Allah) ; and to Him you will be gathered.
692 And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed, affirming what is between his hands, and that you may warn the mother of towns and those around it. And those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they maintain / yuhafithoon their connecting.
Our connecting is to God and for his remembrance.
6162 Say “My connecting, and my rites, and my life, and my death,
are all to God—Lord of the worlds.”1187 They said “O Shu’ayb, does your connecting order you that we leave what our fathers served, or that we do not do with our money as we please? It seems only you are the compassionate, the wise!”
11114 And hold the Connection at two parts of the day, and the near side of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember.
1440 “My Lord, let me hold the Connection, and also from my progeny.
Our Lord, and accept my prayer.”2014 “I am God, there is no god except Me, so serve Me and hold the
Connection for My remembrance.”2945 Recite what is inspired to you of the Book and hold the Connection, for the Connection prohibits immorality and vice; but certainly the remembrance of God is the greatest. God knows everything you do.
Does just reading the quran and repeating rituals put an end to immorality and vice ?
To remember God is the greatest through an aware connection to him and presence of mind, aware of our Innermost, our thoughts, our inner disorder. God wishes to remove foulness from us and to purify us.
573 He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Innermost. And He is fully aware of all things.
3117 “O my son, hold the Connection and advocate righteousness and prohibit vice, and be patient to what befalls you. These are the most honorable traits.”
3333 You shall be content in your homes, and do not show off like in the old days of ignorance. You shall hold the Connection, and contribute towards purification, and obey God and His messenger. God wishes to remove foulness from you, O people of the Shrine, and to purify you a full purification.
629 O you who believe, if the Connection is called to on the day of congregation, then you shall hasten towards the remembrance of God, and cease all selling. This is better for you, if only you knew.
7019 Indeed, the human being was created anxious.
7020 When adversity touches him he is miserable.
7021 And when good touches him he is stingy.
7022 Except for those who connect.
7023 Who are always maintaining their connecting.
7024 And they set aside part of their wealth.
7025 For the seeker and the denied.
7026 And they believe in the Day of Judgment.
7027 And they are fearful of the retribution of their Lord.
7028 The retribution of their Lord is not to be taken for granted.
7029 And they maintain their chastity.
7030 Except around their spouses or those committed to by their oath,
there is no blame.
7031 Whoever seeks anything beyond this, they are the transgressors.
7032 And they are trustworthy and keep their pledges.
7033 And they uphold their testimonies.
7034 And they maintain their connecting.
7035 They will be honored in gardens.1070 In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful.
1071 Have you seen he who is denying in the system?
1072 It is the one who mistreats the orphan,
1073 And the one who does not encourage the feeding of the poor.
1074 So woe to those who connect,
1075 Who are to their connecting absent minded.
1076 They only want to be seen,

also, my understanding is that The God is not “in us” as you mention. for me it is actually a blasphemy to say what you said
The God is Himself and i understand He is on the throne above the waters (my understanding is that dark matter/energy is actually water) and i understand His throne is as wide as the universe, and that existence is under his throne, as all existence belongs to Him
i understand The God is closer to us than our jugular veins and obviously knows everything we conceal or make evident (to even think is a permission from Him)

it's important to understand in what we believe or what some people deny.
For me God is in every form and outside of every form. God is everywhere. Here is the translation (google) of the word alkhashi3een translated by humble
وَضْع يكون فيه المرء مُسْتجمَّ الحواسّ أو الأفكارA situation in which one is relaxed by senses or thoughts.
According to my understanding, salat, reading alquran is not just mechanical. All our senses must be awakened for a conscious connection with the creator.
God acts in us, purifies us when we are in this state of connection. Virtue emerges naturally effortlessly.

Surely, the submitting males, and the submitting females, the believing males, and the believing females, the devout males, and the devout females, the truthful males, and the truthful females, the patient males, and the patient females, the humble males, and the humble females, the charitable males, and the charitable females, the fasting males, and the fasting females, the males who maintain their chastity, and the females who maintain, and the males who commemorate God frequently, and the females who commemorate; God has prepared for them a forgiveness and a great recompense.3199
And from the people of the Book are those who believe in God and what was sent down to you and what was sent down to them; fearful / khashi'een to God, they do not purchase with the revelations of God a cheap price. These will have their recompense with their Lord. For God is swift in reckoning.4139
And from among His signs is that you see the land still / khashi'atan, then, as soon as We send down the water upon it, it shakes and grows. Surely, the One who revived it can revive the dead. He is capable of all things.4245
And you will see them being displayed to it, in fearful / khash'eena humiliation, and looking, while trying to avoid looking. And those who believed will say "The losers are those who lost their souls and their families on the Day of Resurrection. The transgressors will be in a lasting retribution."5921
Had We sent down this Qur'an to a mountain, you would have seen it trembling / khashi'an, crumbling, out of concern from God. And such are the examples We put forth for the people, that they may reflect.6843
khashi'atan their eyes With their eyes subdued, humiliation will cover them. They were invited to prostrate when they were whole and able.882
Faces on that Day which will be shamed / khashi'atun.20108
On that Day, they will follow the caller, there is no crookedness to him. And khasha'ati all voices will be humbled for the Almighty, you will not be able to hear except whispers.17109
And they fall upon their chins crying, and it increases them in humility / khushoo'an.5716
Has not the time come for those who believed to open up / khasha'at their hearts for the remembrance of God, and the truth that is revealed herein? And they should not be like those who were given the Book before, and the waiting became long for them, so their hearts became hardened, and many of them were wicked.232

The God is Himself and He is on His Throne beyond creation, which belongs to Him
