Anyone else worried that because there are few Quran alone Muslims...

It is a scary thought with a possible positive outcome. When you meet someone you should be honest and upfront about it all in the beginning rather than waiting for the right moment.
Need to have an understanding together and trust both of have the best of intentions.
I am Quran alone long before, my partner is Sunni who wears full hijab and niqab, does whatever the mainstream Sunnis do. We get along great, no problems, she likes to discuss Quran with me.
We're not here as enemies, we are humble servers to Allah. Be a decent person whether you like it or not and do not be arrogant. The person will eventually come... Allah knows best.
Happy for you my brother. She sounds like a great women. Take good care of her.
Regards,
Kevin

'You want the world on a golden platter and expect men to live up to a very high and impossible standard but when it comes to your roles as women you're less than mediocre at best.'
If you were a woman you would be saying men are cheaters, men are liars, men only want models and beauty queens, men will divorce you when you're old and replace you with a younger version of you, men are this and that because this is how you think. You generalise. You only see your own struggle when it comes to men and women's issues. I do not want to waste any more time trying to make you see through your own ego and negativity. You already know it. Bye.

Peace Sarah,
Obviously don't marry someone like KDC501, too much clash but hey (assuming here) you're both Quran alone Muslims.
Not everything is in a label.
You might find people with similar goals, values or beliefs to your own who dont necessarily adhere to the same label. The best thing to do is be yourself, be honest of who you are, your beliefs/views and what you would expect in the relationship. Keep in mind people grow and change, we're not stagnant our life experiences and knowledge continue to shape us.
To the original question, I used to worry because I had an idealistic view of Quranic Muslims and their rarity but the reality isn't always what we envision. Disregarding creed, how many people are exactly the same in their beliefs and religious practise? I don't think many are, people are at different spiritual/religious stages of their lives. it just depends how comfortable you are with their stance/stage and if it is compatible with you and the direction you're going.
-
Peace
...that you will have to settle for someone you're not in love with or even attracted to? It's a scary thought. Being able to marry people of the book seems very specific too and also very difficult to come across i.e. true Christians etc. who don't commit shirk (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong).
Marrying a Sunni? Isn't that what we got away from? They usually just want to drag us back to their beliefs and you know how controlling some Sunni families can be.
Peace..
Dear sister following Quran alone is different to be a Muslim.. I don't know what exactly quran alone muslim is.I am a Muslim (surrendered to God alone) is because it is God's mercy on me.. I am being a Muslim has no connection to Quran.. One first has to surrender to God then only everything towards God is developing.. Quran makes a muslim to believer or muththakun.. Coz Quran restricts his heart from going astray after being a Muslim.. That's my take..
So sister there are a lot of Muslims on this earth..
If one accepts God as one and not associated anything with God then he is none other than a Muslim.. Such people are widespread... Not all Sunni or shia Muslims are associating with God anything.. Only extreme religious people do associate with God another thus they lose the grip of being a Muslim.. Most of Sunni and shia Muslims just live as mere Muslims.. Hardly they go and practices anything in depth.. Their fundamental faith relies as God is one..To choose a life partner I don't think you need someone who follow Quran alone but it is enough if he or she is Muslim..
Marriage is a contractual bond.. It can be terminated at any given time.. It is not like parents to a child or siblings... In fact it is kind of weird relationship.. Sometimes friendship is better than a marriage life.. In friendahip there is no need of a signed witness OR no need need paperworks and proof.. It all relies on mutual understanding.. Marriage is in fact duty minded.. Failing to do so makes either party a weak leading to divorce..
Of course when to souls living together sharing riches and their physics love may develop more than in any other relationships fir that matter.. But it is so complicated.. Even true love goes out of the window.. That can happen in marriage life..
But love to mother or father or children are ever lasting.. Even they make mistakes love lasts.. No divorce.. Lol..
A happily married couple sharing their bodily pleasue and divorce after 5 years and marry another and share their bodies and wealth.. This is weird..
So.. Married couple love can be true but conditional in a sense..
If I address Sarah and Kdc I do agree with both in certain matters..
If I sumup.. The one male or female whoever denigrade the other will never succeed in marriage life.. Marriage is of course male with a female or vice versa.. Both has strengths and weaknesses.. The major reasons they are married is to pass time well in fact to beat the loneliness away and seek the pleasures through being together and to ensure leave their identity through children..
You can't have true pleasure if each other don't resoect.. But nowadays unfortunately things are turned around... The great habit of giving in is lacking... Man never likes to surrender to a woman.. That's so obvious and perhaps inborn nature.. Women doesn't need to surrender to man either.. But women of nowadays have almost the same nature of men fir what ever the reasons.. So they also not give in.. Most of the marriages do collapse...
This is what happens while looking for a partner.. Ego is flying high..Being true to self and living a peaceful life by not extremely loving like mad lovers is much suited for this signed contract called marriage.. Just live the life you like and don't compel partner... Don't make it like he or she is mine alone... Don't forget it is a signed bond.. Not inborn..

Sister Sarah.
I have been married a long time, would you like me to tell you about my wife?
She is hilarious!
I asked her Do you think I am gaining weight"? She said No, the living room is getting smaller".Every now and then she wants us to treat each other like when we first started dating. So she will suggest we go to the cinema, then she will drop me off at my parents afterwards.
Arguing with her is like reading the terms and conditions on the internet, I give up and go straight to "I agree".
She was about half an hour on the phone. I was surprised. “Wow, that was quick. Usually you are at it for two hours at least!”
“Yeah, well, it was a wrong number.”she replies.I am an optimist. I leave the car engine running when she says she’s, “Just going to run inside the shop to grab a bottle of milk.”
“I love you,” she said.
“Is that you talking,” I asked, “Or the wine?”
“It’s me talking to the wine.” She said.My wife and I always compromise. I admit I’m wrong, and she agrees with me.
She asked me "which you like better, my face or my body?
I said, “Your sense of humor.”Only joking sister. My advice
Marriage is when a man and woman become one.
The trouble starts when they try to decide which one. When you meet someone with a good sense of humour, it is a good start.
GOD bless you.
Peace. -
Its all give and take in relationship, without this nothing is going to work out, if you cant get what you expect, one will soon be out of that relationship, so expecting less and geting more,
These tags like Sunni Shia Muslims, Christians etc.. are ok as long as people are flexible with those and 90% people are flexible to survive and be peaceful.

That's true... But Sarah's point is practical.. Cannot be neglected..
I also like to share.. In fact I am a loser when it comes to find a partner for life..
All of them rejects when I speak truth.. But all accepts me when I lie..
Strange isn't it..?But I like to go with truth... Honestly I was keep searching in conventional Muslim families just to be in society which I live.. But my truth is like a monster for them..
Simply I am damn loser..
Note.. I never looked in rich families so that they reject looking at my faith.. Even poor people rejected me just coz of my faith..When I say truth they reject and when I lie they accept.. But what to do.. Mind say speak truth...
For me even orphan, refugee or poor girl from any country is okay.. But I am not even fortunate for that..
I could have become rich If I accepted and continued my job in law.. But I gave up long back.. And chosen a simple job.. So most girls don't like to have midocre life...But I am happy... I am not bothered to achieve anything beyond my capacity... Let's see what God has planned... I know it's weird to wait and see until things happen.. But honestly tired of rejections..
My classmates daughters are about to marry but I am just single.. They mock gently but no pain for me inside...
When my mother passed away very recently I thought that's it put a fulstop.. Now you are orphan.. Lol.. But.. I realized it is wrong.. Just live happily.. Marriage is not the only thing that human has to do in life.. So many things to do... Patience befit... Some blame me.. May be I am looking a rich beautiful girl. God knows my destiny... Let people talk. That's their passtime..
I have now some other priorities in life and with it I am happy..I would like to add one more thing along with this..
When my mother passed away all rituals tool place according to sunni conventional way.. Yes I was helpless..
I am innocent to what they did with my mother's dead body.. Sunni dominated society Iam living.. That's the only option.. Not only coz of society but Sunni dominated relatives members as well..
I was silent.. Let things happen.. All I wanted is let my mother body be buried.. Not argue on that day.. I don't know I am coward or what I did is right.. God knows best what is in hearts..
Being so minute in numbers who are true believers is sometimes so unfortunate.. But let's be patient..
They all were making salat keeping the body of mother inside masjid.. An I was compelled to stand on the first raw.. But I was only acting as I was making salat.. Never uttered a word..
May all forgive me..
Life is sometimes as tough.. -
Peace Jkhan,
Sometimes I feel nothing is true or false, its all circumstances and we react, truth has just gone by that we never have access to, Think if you are so rich and will we be the same person now, or think by being in the shoes of the other person you meet and 99% we will also be reacting the same, we have our own blessings that others do not have.
Yes true money decides most things in this world, but its not everything, its better to shed our emotions first and become a small kid with excitement at times to learn and adapt.
Sorry for your loss of your mother, by the way I dont see anything wrong in those last rites prayers and even asking God for their Jannah, as a community its the best thing we can do, sometimes these rituals makes us satisfied, even Quran accepting this as a practice right?
You will soon get a best life partner, my prayers.

It's okay.. We all are destined to die.. It's part and parcel of life span..
Quran is silent on rituals formed dead body.. I don't mind either doing decent rituals which deserves to dead person as final sending off.. But making something as God ordered and make it compulsory is something I am worried of.. I never wanted make Salat.. I never go to that masjid.. I last time went there when long time back..though I attend funeral of all religious people I don't go to masjid make Salat with everyone.. I feel something seriously wrong in it.. Rituals are fine as long as they are mere rituals.. That every culture has.. But I never wanted that to happen but my prayer didn't work out.. I wanted to bury my mother peacefully without any such things but simply bury.. But I don't know what is right and what is wrong..
All the basic rituals they did I don't mind except janasa prayer making it mandatory.. I didn't like it.. anyhow gone is gone.. It is not me who did it.. I am not responsible for it.. I may be her son but she has sisters and brothers and relatives.. I don't want simply make her my own.. If what is done in basic rituals of Muslim Jansa is against God's teachings may Allah forgive us.. That's all I have to say.. Helpless and clueless..
Thank you for your prayers for better partner.. .. But I have given up not the hope but finding a partner... Let's see even without attempting things do take place.. Lol.. Enough is enough.. Isn't it.. There is lot to do in life...

Peace,
To answer the question of this thread I am not worried to have to marry a man who shares the same religion as I do. As a matter of fact, I would very much be happy indeed to know his existance is real and true. Marriage between believers is a huge and beautiful blessing. It is a sacred bond, a unity of two souls who serve God individually and together. Supporting each other in the striving in God's cause. Helping each other to return back to God's Kingdom. Isn't that our ultimate wish and destiny goals?
For sure, the love, mercy, kindness, attraction will be established between the hearts of those who have the true qualities of being called believers and submitters to the Lord of the Universe.
What worries me more is that after the profound tools of exposure of idolworship, hypocrisy and, disbelief, most Quranist are not using these tools and so are not sharing the same religion, and actually proove that God and His words in the Book (Quran) are taken lightly and put aside for other wordly (and most likely more desirable and comfortable) priorities and goals. All of this, while saying to believe and follow God alone through the Quran alone.
I witness in real life and even on this forum many people who don't mind settling with someone that does not share the same religion.
Personally, I don't accept anymore to even fall in love with someone who is firstly not my spouse and secondly does not share the same faith and religion.
We are called the people of the book which clearly indicates that it is up to us to apply all that comes from the book (scripture).
It would be advisable to everyone to first define and (re)confim oneself's faith and religion before choosing your lifepartner.

It seems a strong message from you coupled with little bit of anger blended in it..
What you say is true literally... But where are those believers when it comes to marriage...?
Normally people look in matrimony or fall in love with people they mingle with.. But I don't see believers of reality in them according to Quran.. So in such case where can one find a believing matching partner..Is it must that one should marry a believing woman or believing men or just a Muslim sufficient that is to say one who accept God in life..
I have a wonderful friend who is living in Holland.. Unbelievably good character.. I found him in this forum only... Somehow I am very close to him within mind.. But he is married and have three kids.. His wife is neither a believer nor a Muslim.. She is not perhaps an atheist.. According to him she doesn't value religion much.. He is happy with her.. He is a true believer.. Is he wromg according to Quran? He might have understood the depth of faith 5 six years back but he is married perhaps 20 years back.. He is in his early forties.. So what can he do rather than living with her.. Coz they are a wonderful family... Faith is individual to a self.. Why faith matters when it comes to marriage..Had God threatened us if we marry a person who doesn't believe in God that we will be penalized? ... I am not sure.. But if you pls bring verses.. Believing woman for believing men is so perfect.. Yes.. I agree.. But where are they? Who are they? I don't see them.. Good people in character in have seen but not believers like us..
I was wondering why adopted son of Mohamed did divorce while he was described as a good person.. So.. Marriage life is not merely on faith.. It is with adaptability love care duty to certain limit.. Extremism in anything will not make a perfect ideal person in life..
Prophets who married to disbelieving women didn't divorce them.. They could have.. Right? But they continued..In my understanding simply a person who believes in God would make a good choice.. But couple should match in their preference coz they have to love together.. Only they match can go in life long journey.. Not mere faith..
Is it forbidden to marry just a simple person who believe in God literally but not labelled as muslim or QURAN alone..
It is really intricate for me..
Buy never we should marry a person who is a Disbeliever abd active in disbelief and against faith.. Such never would suit even how much they a compatible life partner..What's QURANs direct order when it comes to marriage..
Quran clearly says such and such people are not allowed for you in marriage.. But faith is mentioned in that verse 423-24?Let me mentions verse 2221.. It clearly says not to marry mushrik... And never stated any other... So apart from mushrik /.idolaters there are many type of people on earth... Believing person I ideal but not found.
I am not against your strong statement butI need further clarification with Quran.. Thank you sister..

Where does one find a believer? As it transpires, when one meets someone who purports to be a "believer", the values which they seem to have, and how they live their life, seems to even be devoid of basic values which any average human would have.
Peace.

Jkhan, sorry for your loss, that must have been difficult for you.
To everyone, one thing we seem to forget is that we are shaped by our upbringing, culture, society as well as our belief/knowledge and we are evolving based on that + personality and more…. To think that we are immune from those influences or even from wrong is so exaggerated and the idea that Quran Only are the only true believers is also idealised. You bet in an idealistic world you’d wanna partner up with someone who has similar background, similar belief/religious practise because it makes for an easier or more coherent life. That being said there is no given that their belief and practise will stay the same. At least right now this is a forum with people who have similar perspectives and you can see some would and wouldn’t be compatible with your views.
So many people believe in God and do good and genuinely have faith in God. Yes many people have messed up views and many have rigid views who are unopen to discussion and perspective even though they have the “true believer” stamp all over them. It’s too simplistic to fear settling, no-one is perfect in every way, everyone compromises on some things.
This is why I whole heartedly believe you must be honest about yourself, your views, your perspective and how you envision a marriage/future and if you’re not sure than I guess it’s worth considering. It doesn’t mean every single person who crosses your life needs to know but certainly if there is a future perspective with someone than surely. Yes you will get people who think you’re an insane kaffir/a, and yes you will get people who will not care and everything inbetween, but if you can’t be yourself well what’s the point in seeking a partner? You would need to work on being secure and understanding yourself and your attachment style before even going there.
Just my thoughts
Peace.

Salam dear brothers and sisters,
When it comes to finding spouse, for the belief aspect I believe what you should be looking for is a monotheist. It does not matter whether he/she is labelled as Sunni, Shia, Christian, Hindu, Buddha, Quranist, etc as those are just meaningless label ...what makes somebody monotheist is his/her belief and actions, not label associated to them by others.
If you are
- Good at playing chess, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at playing chess
- Good at trading stock, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at trading stock
- Good at programming, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at programming
- Good at martial art, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at martial art
- Good at astronomy, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at astronomy
So, I am sure you, my brothers and sisters, through interaction with your candidate partners will be able to recognize if he/she is a monotheist.
Other aspects such as physical attraction, financial, etc, you know better than anyone else sun

Salam a cool
There is nothing personal on this matter.. And nothing to hide..
But I don't like to dig this and drag and waste others time ...
Let's discuss something meaningful which makes us close to God and in the end achieve our ultimate goal..
We got lots of things to do in life.. -
Peace,
My advice to single brothers and sister on free-minds is to stop looking for a wife or a husband.
My counsel to you is to do these things instead
- Focus on your purpose instead (e.g. spread the message and do good deeds). Additionally, focus on your work/career. If you want the opposite sex to be interested in you, you can attract a compatible partner by giving, growing and accomplishing something. You need to have something to bring to the table.
- Put your trust in the most high in relation to finding or being guided to a compatible spouse. You will most likely find or be guided to a compatible spouse at the right time.Things take time. Be patient.
- Dating is not necessary in order to get married. If you like someone, you only need to be friends before getting married. You can be friends and propose to someone without having had any romantic/physical relationship at all.
- If you like someone, and logically and intuitvely (i.e. it feels right) can tell that someone is suitable for you, then that person is probably suitable for you. If it is against your logic/reason and it does not feel right to take the next step with regards to getting to know someone as more than a friend, then it is probably wrong to get to know that person as more than a friend.
- Last but not least, use the Quran as a criterion and a guide regarding to find out whether someone is suitable for (compatible with) you or not.
