    Peace Jkhan,

Sometimes I feel nothing is true or false, its all circumstances and we react, truth has just gone by that we never have access to, Think if you are so rich and will we be the same person now, or think by being in the shoes of the other person you meet and 99% we will also be reacting the same, we have our own blessings that others do not have.

Yes true money decides most things in this world, but its not everything, its better to shed our emotions first and become a small kid with excitement at times to learn and adapt.

Sorry for your loss of your mother, by the way I dont see anything wrong in those last rites prayers and even asking God for their Jannah, as a community its the best thing we can do, sometimes these rituals makes us satisfied, even Quran accepting this as a practice right?

You will soon get a best life partner, my prayers.

It's okay.. We all are destined to die.. It's part and parcel of life span..

Quran is silent on rituals formed dead body.. I don't mind either doing decent rituals which deserves to dead person as final sending off.. But making something as God ordered and make it compulsory is something I am worried of.. I never wanted make Salat.. I never go to that masjid.. I last time went there when long time back..though I attend funeral of all religious people I don't go to masjid make Salat with everyone.. I feel something seriously wrong in it.. Rituals are fine as long as they are mere rituals.. That every culture has.. But I never wanted that to happen but my prayer didn't work out.. I wanted to bury my mother peacefully without any such things but simply bury.. But I don't know what is right and what is wrong..

All the basic rituals they did I don't mind except janasa prayer making it mandatory.. I didn't like it.. anyhow gone is gone.. It is not me who did it.. I am not responsible for it.. I may be her son but she has sisters and brothers and relatives.. I don't want simply make her my own.. If what is done in basic rituals of Muslim Jansa is against God's teachings may Allah forgive us.. That's all I have to say.. Helpless and clueless..

Thank you for your prayers for better partner.. .. But I have given up not the hope but finding a partner... Let's see even without attempting things do take place.. Lol.. Enough is enough.. Isn't it.. There is lot to do in life...

        Peace,

To answer the question of this thread I am not worried to have to marry a man who shares the same religion as I do. As a matter of fact, I would very much be happy indeed to know his existance is real and true. Marriage between believers is a huge and beautiful blessing. It is a sacred bond, a unity of two souls who serve God individually and together. Supporting each other in the striving in God's cause. Helping each other to return back to God's Kingdom. Isn't that our ultimate wish and destiny goals?

For sure, the love, mercy, kindness, attraction will be established between the hearts of those who have the true qualities of being called believers and submitters to the Lord of the Universe.

What worries me more is that after the profound tools of exposure of idolworship, hypocrisy and, disbelief, most Quranist are not using these tools and so are not sharing the same religion, and actually proove that God and His words in the Book (Quran) are taken lightly and put aside for other wordly (and most likely more desirable and comfortable) priorities and goals. All of this, while saying to believe and follow God alone through the Quran alone.

I witness in real life and even on this forum many people who don't mind settling with someone that does not share the same religion.

Personally, I don't accept anymore to even fall in love with someone who is firstly not my spouse and secondly does not share the same faith and religion.

We are called the people of the book which clearly indicates that it is up to us to apply all that comes from the book (scripture).

It would be advisable to everyone to first define and (re)confim oneself's faith and religion before choosing your lifepartner.

          Peace..
It seems a strong message from you coupled with little bit of anger blended in it..
What you say is true literally... But where are those believers when it comes to marriage...?
Normally people look in matrimony or fall in love with people they mingle with.. But I don't see believers of reality in them according to Quran.. So in such case where can one find a believing matching partner..

Is it must that one should marry a believing woman or believing men or just a Muslim sufficient that is to say one who accept God in life..
I have a wonderful friend who is living in Holland.. Unbelievably good character.. I found him in this forum only... Somehow I am very close to him within mind.. But he is married and have three kids.. His wife is neither a believer nor a Muslim.. She is not perhaps an atheist.. According to him she doesn't value religion much.. He is happy with her.. He is a true believer.. Is he wromg according to Quran? He might have understood the depth of faith 5 six years back but he is married perhaps 20 years back.. He is in his early forties.. So what can he do rather than living with her.. Coz they are a wonderful family... Faith is individual to a self.. Why faith matters when it comes to marriage..

Had God threatened us if we marry a person who doesn't believe in God that we will be penalized? ... I am not sure.. But if you pls bring verses.. Believing woman for believing men is so perfect.. Yes.. I agree.. But where are they? Who are they? I don't see them.. Good people in character in have seen but not believers like us..
I was wondering why adopted son of Mohamed did divorce while he was described as a good person.. So.. Marriage life is not merely on faith.. It is with adaptability love care duty to certain limit.. Extremism in anything will not make a perfect ideal person in life..
Prophets who married to disbelieving women didn't divorce them.. They could have.. Right? But they continued..

In my understanding simply a person who believes in God would make a good choice.. But couple should match in their preference coz they have to love together.. Only they match can go in life long journey.. Not mere faith..

Is it forbidden to marry just a simple person who believe in God literally but not labelled as muslim or QURAN alone..
It is really intricate for me..
Buy never we should marry a person who is a Disbeliever abd active in disbelief and against faith.. Such never would suit even how much they a compatible life partner..

What's QURANs direct order when it comes to marriage..
Quran clearly says such and such people are not allowed for you in marriage.. But faith is mentioned in that verse 423-24?

Let me mentions verse 2221.. It clearly says not to marry mushrik... And never stated any other... So apart from mushrik /.idolaters there are many type of people on earth... Believing person I ideal but not found.

I am not against your strong statement butI need further clarification with Quran.. Thank you sister..

Where does one find a believer? As it transpires, when one meets someone who purports to be a "believer", the values which they seem to have, and how they live their life, seems to even be devoid of basic values which any average human would have.

              Peace.

Jkhan, sorry for your loss, that must have been difficult for you.

To everyone, one thing we seem to forget is that we are shaped by our upbringing, culture, society as well as our belief/knowledge and we are evolving based on that + personality and more…. To think that we are immune from those influences or even from wrong is so exaggerated and the idea that Quran Only are the only true believers is also idealised. You bet in an idealistic world you’d wanna partner up with someone who has similar background, similar belief/religious practise because it makes for an easier or more coherent life. That being said there is no given that their belief and practise will stay the same. At least right now this is a forum with people who have similar perspectives and you can see some would and wouldn’t be compatible with your views.

So many people believe in God and do good and genuinely have faith in God. Yes many people have messed up views and many have rigid views who are unopen to discussion and perspective even though they have the “true believer” stamp all over them. It’s too simplistic to fear settling, no-one is perfect in every way, everyone compromises on some things.

This is why I whole heartedly believe you must be honest about yourself, your views, your perspective and how you envision a marriage/future and if you’re not sure than I guess it’s worth considering. It doesn’t mean every single person who crosses your life needs to know but certainly if there is a future perspective with someone than surely. Yes you will get people who think you’re an insane kaffir/a, and yes you will get people who will not care and everything inbetween, but if you can’t be yourself well what’s the point in seeking a partner? You would need to work on being secure and understanding yourself and your attachment style before even going there.

                Just my thoughts

                Peace.

                      Salam dear brothers and sisters,

When it comes to finding spouse, for the belief aspect I believe what you should be looking for is a monotheist. It does not matter whether he/she is labelled as Sunni, Shia, Christian, Hindu, Buddha, Quranist, etc as those are just meaningless label ...what makes somebody monotheist is his/her belief and actions, not label associated to them by others.

                      If you are

                      • Good at playing chess, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at playing chess
                      • Good at trading stock, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at trading stock
                      • Good at programming, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at programming
                      • Good at martial art, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at martial art
                      • Good at astronomy, you will be able to recognize if someone is good at astronomy

So, I am sure you, my brothers and sisters, through interaction with your candidate partners will be able to recognize if he/she is a monotheist.

Other aspects such as physical attraction, financial, etc, you know better than anyone else sun

                      Wassalam

I also like to share.. In fact I am a loser when it comes to find a partner for life..

All of them rejects when I speak truth.. But all accepts me when I lie..
                        Strange isn't it..?

But I like to go with truth... Honestly I was keep searching in conventional Muslim families just to be in society which I live.. But my truth is like a monster for them..

                        Simply I am damn loser..
Note.. I never looked in rich families so that they reject looking at my faith.. Even poor people rejected me just coz of my faith..

When I say truth they reject and when I lie they accept.. But what to do.. Mind say speak truth...
For me even orphan, refugee or poor girl from any country is okay.. But I am not even fortunate for that..
I could have become rich If I accepted and continued my job in law.. But I gave up long back.. And chosen a simple job.. So most girls don't like to have midocre life...

                        Salam jkhan,

If you don't mind, would you share a bit more detail on what exactly the truth that you tell them which make them break up with you?

If you think that is too personal, no need to answer

                        Wassalam

                          Salam jkhan,

If you don't mind, would you share a bit more detail on what exactly the truth that you tell them which make them break up with you?

If you think that is too personal, no need to answer

                          Wassalam

                          Salam a cool

There is nothing personal on this matter.. And nothing to hide..
But I don't like to dig this and drag and waste others time ...
Let's discuss something meaningful which makes us close to God and in the end achieve our ultimate goal..
We got lots of things to do in life..

                            Peace,

My advice to single brothers and sister on free-minds is to stop looking for a wife or a husband.

My counsel to you is to do these things instead

                            1. Focus on your purpose instead (e.g. spread the message and do good deeds). Additionally, focus on your work/career. If you want the opposite sex to be interested in you, you can attract a compatible partner by giving, growing and accomplishing something. You need to have something to bring to the table.
                            2. Put your trust in the most high in relation to finding or being guided to a compatible spouse. You will most likely find or be guided to a compatible spouse at the right time.Things take time. Be patient.
                            3. Dating is not necessary in order to get married. If you like someone, you only need to be friends before getting married. You can be friends and propose to someone without having had any romantic/physical relationship at all.
                            4. If you like someone, and logically and intuitvely (i.e. it feels right) can tell that someone is suitable for you, then that person is probably suitable for you. If it is against your logic/reason and it does not feel right to take the next step with regards to getting to know someone as more than a friend, then it is probably wrong to get to know that person as more than a friend.
                            5. Last but not least, use the Quran as a criterion and a guide regarding to find out whether someone is suitable for (compatible with) you or not.

That's a good advice.. And good choice. But seems practically not viable for most of not for everyone.. ..

                                Peace jkhan,

The advice might not be practicable (viable) for most or for everyone due to cultural barriers, geographical barriers (which can reduce the possibility of finding a compatible partner), parental expectations/pressures etc. But the advice is practicable (viable) for many of our brothers and sisters, albeit not without difficulty or challenges.

I haven't collected all the verses related to finding a partner in the Quran. But I think these verses shed some light on how to find a compatible partner according to the Quran.

55 Today, all the good things of life have been made lawful to you. And the food of those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime is lawful to you, and your food is lawful to them. And , in wedlock, women from among those who believe , and, in wedlock, women from among those who have be en vouchsafed revelation before your time - provided that you give them their dowers, taking them in honest wedlock, not in fornication, nor as secret love-companions.

Verse 55 encourage our brothers to marry those who believe in the Quran (i.e. muslims), or those who believe in other scriptures (christians, jews etc.).

2433 And as for those who are unable to marry, let them live in continence until God grants them sufficiency out of His bounty.

Verse 2433 indicates that it is a good choice to live in continence (be chaste) until one is able to to marry. In other words, the Quran does not encourage our brothers and sisters to have physical/romantic relationships before marriage. Instead, it encourages our brothers and sisters to be single and only have friendships with the opposite sex until they are able to get married.

2221 And do not marry the female polytheists until they believe. For a believing female servant is better than a polytheist even if she attracts you. And do not marry the male polytheists until they believe. For a believing male servant is better than a polytheist even if he attracts you. Those invite to the Fire, while God is inviting to the Paradise and forgiveness by His consent. He clarifies His revelations for the people that they may remember.

Verse 2221 encourages our brothers and sisters to only marry monotheists. The verse also indicates that someones personality (i.e. their character) is more important than physical attraction when it comes to finding a partner.

2426 The vile females are for the vile males, and the vile males are for the vile females. And the good females are for the good males, and the good males are for the good females; these are innocent from what statements have been made, and for them is forgiveness and a generous provision.

Verse 2426 encourages our brothers to marry good females and it encourages our sisters to marry good males. Goodness/virtue is of crucial importance.

3021 And from His signs is that He created for you mates from yourselves that you may reside with them, and He placed between you affection and mercy. In that are signs for a people who reflect.

Verse 3021 indicates that the most high have created compatible partners for our brothers and sisters. Hence it is a good choice to be patient and hopeful regarding finding a compatible mate.

That's what the question here.. Where do we find them..

We can find or be guided to them in the places we live or online (e.g. on this forum). There are many suitable mates/partners for our brothers and sisters both online and in the places they live.

According to the story of Moses, he found or was guided to his wife while he was serving the creator by being a good doer (please check 2825-2.

Just coz they call Muslim, can we marry conventional Muslims?

In my humble opinion, it is not enough to call oneself a muslim or a christian. Someones thoughts and actions reveal who they are and what they believe in. A mason is not a mason, unless he posess the right theory and practice (i.e. is skilled at making things or building things with stones). His knowledge and practical skills reveals whether he is a mason or not. Likewise, someones thoughts and actions reveal whether they follow the Quran or not. Also, someones thoughts and actions reveal whether they follow other scriptures/revelations or not. Do they have strong faith in the creator? Do they have real knowledge about their scripture? Do they obey the commandments/laws in their scripture? Do they put the teachings of their scripture into practice? Do they do good deeds and abstain from doing bad deeds? What do they do in their leisure time? Do they study their scripture? Do they spread its message? How do they spend their money? What company do they keep? Do they party while drinking lots of alcohol or doing other things which goes against their scripture? Or do they have firm principles and do not give in to social/cultural pressure in order to fit in or gain acceptance? Reflecting on these questions can help one to make the right choice when it comes to choosing whether one wants to get to know someone as more than a friend or not. As previously mentioend, someones thoughts and actions reveal who they are and what they believe in.

"A tree is known by its fruit." - Zulu proverb.

Who best suits according to Quran practically in current Day world..?

I am the one who best suits according to Quran practically in the current day world.

Lol. I am joking with you all. P

Regarding who best suits according to Quran practically, please see relevant quranic verses about this topic.

                                    Is it simple?

I don't think it's simple. But I think it's possible. Case in point I and my wife have similar beliefs, and we found eachother. If we were able to find eachother, then others can as well.

I am the one who best suits according to Quran practically in the current day world.

Lol. I am joking with you all. P

I don't think it's simple. But I think it's possible. Case in point I and my wife have similar beliefs, and we found eachother. If we were able to find eachother, then others can as well.

                                      thank you..
                                      peace..

i accept your advice and recommendations... but where is time to mingle with people and to know whether they are believers or not..
in Musa's case it was a gift from Allah...unexpected... So i also believe in unexpected meetings.. but we need to be patient until it happens..
as a believer we need patience..
