*** Slave? ***
-
Peace and thank you everyone... Anticipate more perceptions if possible...
By the way.. This is dictionary meaning of slave as you know.."a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them."
Is that what we all are? It we different slave in the eyes of God?
You don't think we are property of God? You don't think we fully belong to God?
Everything good is from God (this includes the punishing of evil, and the rewarding of good. Punishing unrepentant evil is a good thing. Rewarding good is a good thing). Anything evil is from ourselves (if we choose to be evil, it's good for us to be punished. Since God is Almighty, God chooses who gets punished and who gets rewarded. God chooses in a perfectly just manner).
We are all slaves/servants of God. But this is a good thing. I'd rather be a slave to God, then a slave to myself because God is better than me in terms of goodness. I cannot be as good to myself as God can be good to me. Furthermore, nothing I have is truly mine. It's all God's. I thank him for the things that He has given me that I enjoy. As for the things that harm me, I know that I deserve to be harmed (evil being punished is a good thing. You cannot be evil without you choosing to be evil).
Any good that befalls you is from God, and any evil that befalls you is from yourself. (Quran 479)

Salam...
There is no reason that I should agree if anyone insist that we are SLAVES of God.. Never it befits.. Noone human Jin or elite malaika or animals no one is slaves of Allah.. Unless one doesn't understand the meaning of Slave..
Even the word SERVANT don't match..
Yes of course We are serving God.. Absolutely right but Not servant.. Ibadat is serving with what God has instituted for us.. So we are servers.. If we we serve Satan then servers of Satan... Yes we may have boundaries eventhough we have total freewill to do what we can will literally but boundaries are end of our freewill so it won't become like we are slaves.. We are not in jail so we can't access rest of the world... Earth and heavens is all what we have as human so we in this but not slaves under it but free creatures... One may follow the path other than God's but still he is Ibadi of Allah but not sincere with definite disobedience.. So we are not slaves.. We follow path of God.. So we are Ibadi of God with sincerity but not slave.. Obedience is not or cannot be deemed SLAVE.. I obey my parents..does it mean I am a slave of my parents... Ibadi of parents thus serving sincerely.
I don't know why many a translators found it to be slave.. Only reason they contemplated that WORSHIPING God in ritual way makes one Slave.. If we are not slaves of God why to worship Him .. I mean real sense of worship is taken..We serve him sincerely by obeying his commands taking his path alone.. So we do Ibadat(Serving) literally ..
One may wonder then if a person Go to a temple and prostrate infeont of a deity or idols, then what does it mean? If not worshiping. . What in fact a person do approaching such an idol.. He is not silent in front of idols or deities.. He has invocations / requests / reverence / praising.. Etc.. Does it mean he worship just the idol /deity.. No.. He has a purpose to reach the idol.. Well perceive well.. We do the same thing to Our Lord.. Don't we? But without reaching to an idol we do exactly the same what those who went to temple and requested in front of his idol... So he literally serving the idol for his invocations / requests / praising / reverence.. Etc.. We do as well.. So no one is slaves of another .with own willingness serving... Serving negative entities and serving the truthful Entity is difference..

I would rather say, Devote of Ein, Lord Of The Worlds. (or best translation of "Rabb of Alamin".
Peace.
Rab AL alamin in my complete searching through out quran befits for me is "Lord' of all Races "... Among men and Jin there are various nature of people and for all He is the Lord... This word Race does befit in my perception to all occurences textually and contextually...
-
2623 Pharaoh said And what is the Lord of the Worlds
2624 (Moses) said Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure beliefThis is more than races, and a concept like Cosmos. I don´t use universe either since that is often associated with pseudo-science, in quantum science etc.
Often translated as "Worlds" but Cosmos seems more fitting. Cosmos was probably also used with first-cause type arguments, in greek philosophy so fitting.Peace.
When I said I read all the verses of Alamin, I mean it and not cherry picking...
Yes.. I know about King pharou and his question..
Alamin is a one who has a breast (2910)
Alamin is not worlds of cosmos..
He is Lord'of Samawathi. He is the Lord of Earth and He is the Lord of Alamin (All the races).. refer 4536.. All three appears in the same verse.. Got that?In king pharou verse.. Musa already told him Lord of Alamin.. King pharou knows what is the meaning of Aalamin and it is All the races.. But King Pharou asked then what is Rab AL Alamin in a broader sense.. Like who is He? So Musa explains This Rab AL Alamin is not merely Lord of all the races.. But He is the same Lord who is Lord of samawathi and Ard and whatever between them.. And musa continues.. Lord of your forefathers... And lord of East and west and whatever between them.. All these not the meaning of Aalamin.. Musa explained who is his Lord in detail..
Never let loose the context...
Alamin itself not the Lord of Heavens and Earth and whatever between them.. But Allah is.. Alamin is referring that He is the Lord of all the races coz every nations and tribes have their own god deities etc but God nullifies all gods and He claims He is the Lord of all races eventhough they have their own gods..
Just try to grasp it.. Just apply some sense..Alamin is just a word to refer races who has a heart.... For such He is the Lord..

Are we really slave of God?
I mean everyone regardless of what faith we belong to?Peace,
Yes I am a slave of God. Allah is indeed my Lord and master, my sustainer, my provider, my guardian, my protector, my humiliator, my guide. I am so grateful to my creator who has given so much to one who had so little. Yes, I belong to God, I am the property of my creator. Allah alone owns me.
Allah has made all the rules, so it is to our advantage to obey and to submit to what he declares that is best for us. We can rebel but God warns us that is not the best outcome for his servants.
As for those who rebel, they are still the slaves of God, they are the rebellious slaves but slaves none the less. They are the servants who for many reasons
refuse to submit, but like the submitters. they are confined to the rules that our creator has put in place.God Bless

Slave cannot betray the Master at any given point of time.. Slave must obey always and if not immediately master punishes and he cannot be a slave.. Slave is not for Testing.. Slave is a slave no way out until master releases him..
God has not made slaves but free creatures within limits of their own.. God never interferes with our actions but we are responsible for what we do... It cannot be a slave. We don't have any traits of slaves. Get the definition of slave eight first perhaos you will realize.
Yes.. Once everything is judged and those who destined to hell and while they live in hell, yes they are slaves of God. Aren't they... But not those who live in Janna ..

Salam brother!
Mu'uminin or Al-Mu'uminin المومنین is a plural which includes all male and female believers.
العبد is only for males۔
see 2178 where الانثی is used with العبد which shows the clear distinction as well.

Peace jkhan, your reply is confusing, you say "Slave cannot betray the Master at any given point of time." Are you aware of the many slave rebellions?
Could you give your interpretation of verse 1993.
There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave.
God Bless

Peace Hawk...
I suggest you just get slave definition right.. Seriously...
There is always positive and negative... If slave rebel and overcome they are not slaves anymore... But in the way they are defined as slave they are just toys of master as long as they remain slave.. They are not called slave without sense.. There is reason why they have been called slave.. But human or jinn or Malika no one is slaves... Just get that right..But Ibadi is to mean serve... My translation for every verse in Quran not Change... In all places Serve root word of Ibad...everyone on this earth and heavens are Ibadi of Allah ... But how they serve him sincerely or insincerely or willingly or unwillingly or positively or negatively or associating not not associating decide what type of Ibadi they turned out... But they all serve Allah... That's why Allah says everything on earth and heavens sujud (submit) to Him willingly or unwillingly... True Ibadi is the one who succeeds.. Even iblees Satan is Ibadi of Allah... But negative... Even SATAN says I afraid my Lord. 5916.. But useless.. His duty / serving never sincere..
We are created to serve.. Is there any purpose other than Ibada Allah in the purpose of creation... Of course nothing.. Serve the Lord.. We are not created to worship Him... But obey that's to say serve as He instructed... Everyone serves/ obeys but only few succeeds coz they serve correctly.... That sums up... Still not getting.. Let me simply with a parable... Suppose one has three sons.. They all call father... They all serve their father... But who's serving was pure, filth free, willingly, positively, sincerely throughout life time towards their father not for his wealth or society or just for the sake of being biological father or any other hidden agenda in those three children then he served father.. Obedience of truth decides what type of Ibadi one was.. No one is slave and compelled..

I think your post is a bit mixed up, jkhan. "worship" is a good translation of Ibada. And Shaytan does not do this, other than "with partners to Ein", as the eloquent teaching goes. That is what disbelief is.
Peace...
Just coz you say Ein befits, I cannot knod yes.. Just coz you say worship befits I won't... I explore Quran for truth for the self.. Coz I love truth not falsehood...
Worship has nothing wrong if worship is taken in some sense rather than ritual worship... English meaning of worship may not go wrong but serve befits everywhere..Look at the way brother Hawk questioned.. Just asking to elaborate verse 1993 merely.. It has lot of hidden meaning with 1993... Preceding verses speaks about Arrahman and having a son.. If Arrhaman had a son then story is different... So that's the reason Allah clarifies crystal clearly, everyone comes as Servers to Arrahman not as sons ..no.. nothing..just Ibadi.. How they served or their level of serving is not relevant.. So this server is a creation and not biological relation to God. . Why Allah needs to say submit willingly or unwillingly while word submission itself has the meaning of obedience... The obedience / submission can be unwillingly as well or even disobey but still serving in that manner coz everyone is a creation of Allah not sons.. If God has son/s they won't serve The God but we have to serve The God The Son of God.. Everyone is under Him as subservient creature .. but God doesn't reward for their effort just coz they were subservient in some nature... I don't know why you guys not getting this.. How to clarify still.. Hmm.. Look Allah says Don't Serve / obey (Ibada) Satan.. What does that mean? We literally idolworshiping Satan? No.. We obey / serve in his path in our every action in life which is not path of Allah. So we served Satan but we are Ibadi of Allah but disobeyed and associated in serving/submission / obedience.. Ibadi will not change but his action and intention changes. Such people also will face on the day of judgement as Ibadi of Allah but result is negative unfortunately . Coz serving was corrupted though they served something in life.. .. Come on just get the grip of it.. I am afraid I have no more way to present it.. As a last resort let me put this way.. Everyone is employee of a company.. Employee is employee.. Name *employee remains even he works honestly or even cheating or not at all give in return any output ... All employees of Employer... If Employer has a proper record of every employee and if he becomes a judge, then employers would come to know the reality of His employees... Do you get what I am trying to say at least..

"So we served S(h)a(y)tan but we are Ibadi of Allah"
"Most do not worship Ein except when giving him partners" - Quran.
I think "God" works poorly with this fundamental phrase aswell, but ofcourse if people like this wrong concept, then I can´t reach them.
Peace.
Yes.. You served Satan if you don't follow the path of Allah.. But you are created as Ibadi of Allah.. Purpoae of creation is Ibadat (serving) to Allah..
Well.. Your second paragraph... Is there a verse like that in Quran?

https//corpus.quran.com/wordbyword.jsp?chapter=12&verse=106
https//corpus.quran.com/qurandictionary.jsp?q=Amn#(121062)
is what is translated as believe here though.
Anyway its part of fundamental monotheistic logic.
Peace..
Just be honest brother.. Guidance will flow.. Ibadat and Iman are two different matters and entirely different meaning.... Even you take Ibadat as Worship and Iman as Belief still they both entirely different... So just don't twist verses.. Just translate the word written and don't replace with another arabic word.. God placed words... So find meaning for instead replace yourself another Arabic word there.. Just seek guidance from Allah for yourself and not for debating or showing and pass time.. But seek guidance for your benefit.. Then story is different... You won't say what you say next time..
Thank you May Allah guide you.. -
Salam...
Most of you raised concern has not got what Ibadat means in the first place, so perhaps you will realize the issue of slave...
First and foremost word (abd) in Quran occurs in chapter one... IyyaKa na'budu... It continues... Just realize it and remember verse 5156 in connection with this...
So chapter one it says We serve You and we seek help in You .. And then says guide us to the path of straight ...
Now get the grip.. This Siratha musthaqeem is what need to practice and that is Ibadat when applied in action...
So men and jinn are created except to serve Him as 5156 stated... Jin here is all malaika Satan and all normal Jinns.. They all are Jinns created fire based though their status are different as Malika satan etc..Siratha musthaqeem = Ibadat... When?
So following the path of straight is serving the Lord.. If following any other path then deviating from serving/.ibadath though Ibadat is done but not in line with Siratha musthaqeem...Thank you..

If anyone still thinks merely word Ibadi is someone who is good then carefully read verses 7128 and 1963 ... Inheritance God may give to anyone in this world so Allah said simply un 7128 ..." ... Whome he wills of His servers.... " it means everyone is Ibadi and Allah gives as He wills... But in the hereafter inheritenxe is only to those who became thoroughly concious (Muttaqeen) ...
Similarly 1963 Allah says He bestows the Janna to His Ibadi / Servers who were concious... So everyone is Ibadi but not concious except few... Just reflect independently... Allah could have said simply I give Janna to His Ibadi if in fact all Ibadi are on the positive side...
