Not only is this for the prophet, which was very very loved by God, but it also a tip from God to all the believers. How would you feel if i came to your house forcefully, and you were too shy to tell me go. And i just sat here and ate and took away ur time from your family? If im a believer in God, if i love God , if i follow his words, then i will know what to do. You wouldnt even have tell me to leave. I hope you understand

        Peace Jaxal,

This "shyness" in the Prophet I find hard to believe.

"Somthing are true weather you believe in them or not." I quote this ofcourse from City Of Angels, one of my Favourite movies.

If you have read the Quran, you would know that the prophet was a very humble man. A strong leader, yet a humble man. He was the messenger of God. God chose him for a reason. You wouldnt really expect a prophet telling you to leave his house so he can get some sleep, now would you? There are people even now, who will want to help others so much that they lose their own sleep over it, so to speak. Our prophet was one them. I wasnt around that time, but i can certainly give you an example.

For example, I go to the prophet's house to ask him for some advice. My problem is complex and requires much attention. At the same time, our prophet have spent his day giving advice to othe people and requires some sleep. Would it be fair for me to be totally inconsiderate of this fact, and go on and on about my own problem? Should a believer in God do such a thing? Ofcourse not, but when was the world fair. On the other hand, even tho the prophet is tired, he cannot ask you to leave JUST because he wants to get some sleep. He is, afterall, the messenger of God.

It is for this very reason that God gave us that verse. NOT just for the prophet, but for everyone. Nobody should force him/her self into another's house without their permission. Ive seen it happen, and i feel sory for the other person to be shy to tell them that now is not a good time. I hope this make more clear sense now )

            Greetings All,

            3353
O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity.

This may have been raised before but I ask again. Why is God acting as Prophet's servant? can't the Prophet himself tell his followers not to enter his house and annoy him?

It is verses like this that makes me think that Quran is man-made.

I come to you as a sceptic in all matters of religious truth...

I'm Glad you raised the subject. This is indeed a very strange verse.

Not only is this for the prophet, which was very very loved by God...

            Who is "this" prophet then?

And how can you tell that he is the object for this instruction?

What I meant is that there is no substance for a physical person that goes under the name of Muhammad in the Quran. Basically, because "muhammad" in the lecture is a noun and not a proper name.
