    Salaam,

I saw a man with tits yesterday. Male and female breasts are basically the same thing. Women produce milk because they will have children. Males too actually have these very same mammary glans and can lactate.

By the way, females are attracted to men with nice chests just as men tend to be attracted to females with nice chests. So I wonder if you will reconsider your position about it not being sexual in men.

Joe, bruv there is a different between man boobies and woman boobies. Lollllllllllllllll. They are not the same! ITs not the same thing!!!

Saladin, Just so you know, all the paintings i have mentioned, they were completely created out of the painter's mind. No one posed nude for them.

I dont know why anyone would pose nude for art, unless they just want it for themselves or something. Not a good excuse but still people do it. I cant really understand why.

The artist is the creator of beautiful things.
To reveal art and conceal the artist is art's aim.
The critic is he who can translate into another manner or a new material his impression of beautiful things.

Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault.

Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only beauty.

No artist desires to prove anything.
Even things that are true can be proved.
              No artist is ever morbid.
              The artist can express everything.
Thought and language are to the artist instruments of an art.

From the point of view of form, the type of all the arts is the art of the musician. From the point of view of feeling, the actor's craft is the type.

All art is at once surface and symbol.
Those who go beneath the surface do so at their peril.
Those who read the symbol do so at their peril.

We can forgive a man for making a useful thing as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for making a useless thing is that one admires it intensely.

              All art is quite useless.

-preface to "The Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde

                Salam Nelke sun

My daughter (12) is the exact contrary. Although she's much more timid than i am she doesn't see no problem in showing her belly - becoz everybody does it at her school and they have no second thought about it. I'm afraid though of the guys in the street who have different reaction than fellow school kids...especially here in Maghreb. We found a compromise and i have her wear something around her waist - t-shirt with long sleeves or so - in order not to espose herself. Dress code is really for protection i believe and in order not to shock people which might have a different way of life - so that's what i try to explain when we discuss this subject.
                Bye, LK

See, coz I don't wanna have discussions every day about that, I want to educate my daughter in that way that she doesn't want to wear that kind of stuff by her own.

when i was about 25 (long time ago ) i tried miniskirts which everybody wore then...i just couldn't do it - although my minis were just above the knee - not so mini...

I remember when I was young ( ? ) I mean a teenager, I used to wear tight things or mini although I didn't feel comfortable in it. But just to bee cool I weard it....so stupid!

?? Uff,.... I thought that the artist needs the model to paint exactly. For me it looks as if someone posed for them. And yes, I thought there was a woman posing for Da Vinci, not with exactly that smile... but a real woman. ?

Da Vinci was known to use models, and while the model's name may not have been Mona Lisa, Da Vinci apparently used a model o

                          Peace Jaxal,

Are you an art fan or just nude art heheh? I don't know which...but most everyone knows most artists use real models unless one is Picasso...they were normally commissioned by rich people to paint their families or themselves or other stuff depending on what the artist was famous for...the Mona Lisa is also known as La Gioconda, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo. My fave artists are Vermeer and Monet btw...you can google to find out more about the history of Mona Lisa if you want...

Im always afraid of arguing with you SC Loll but Mona Lisa isnt a real person. No one posed for that painting. I looked into it a long time ago when the move Mona Lisa Smile came out lolll . I was thinking it was somehow based on a real person called Mona Lisa. By the way, here is a funny pic i made of Mona Lisa Lolllllllllllllll

                            http//www.geocities.com/bigjaxal/monalisa.png

BTW SC, there is only painting i like from Vermeer, "The girl with the pearl earring"

You are right. Someone will always find the other person attractive and sexy. But im saying, its different when women wear sleeveless shirts becoz they have boobies. Men dont have them so its not obviously sexual for men to wear sleeveless shirts.

A friend of mine once told me...muscles on guys works as boobies on girls (for attraction)..P

No, really, I'm an Art student, someone must have posed for that painting, or was used for reference, (quite possibly Da Vinci himself) as did they tend to do for Da Vinci's works.

In fact the idea of no model, or reference being used in paintings is extremely absurd, the exception being for emotive, imaginitive or abstract works, which Da Vinci did not do involving people to the best of my knowledge. You're going to have to face up to the fact that painting and drawing things accurately means seeing them, even if it involves looking at boobies lol!
