Light and the Children Of Adam
-
Dear all,
I am reading a book Edgar Cayce on the power of Color, Stones and Crystals - Dan Campbell some interesting ideas came that I am still dwelling on, but I would like to share. Any thoughts that this may give life to in another feel free to share. )
Refraction is the deflection of a ray of light from its path as it passes obliquely from one transparent medium into another... Sunlight in a similar fashion, is refracted as it penetrates raindrops; then, following two or more reflections inside the drops, the lit is refracted again as it departs. Thus, the wavelengths seperate in different directions, allowing nature to display its magic once again with a many-hued rainbow.
Light scatters when it is seperated according to one of its characteristics, such as wavelengths or frequency. Sir Isaac Newton used a prism to scatter white light into its seperate colors, or frequencies, to form a spectrum. -p.19
This scattering reminded me of this verse; O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you) for Allah ever watches over you.
It is like Adam is the light ray and is only a white light until Eve the prisim recieves him and then their children are born as the rainbow is scattered into its individualized beams.
Iin Newtons experiment, what he did was place another prism after the first one so that the white light having become the rainbow returned to the white light, so it reminds me of returning to your source.
It was Euclid who postulated that light travels in a straight line-a premise of his concept of geometric optics- and originated the idea of the ray. ... He found that all points on an object are sources of rays diverging in all directions, but only a narrow pyramid of these rays passively reaches the eye to form an inverted image on the retina. -p.21,22
The ray reminds me of the straight path.
Colors are the shadows of the creators movement that is the essence of the physical world, because "matter is only spirit (energy) condensed in form so as to be called matter." -p.11
Think now on this, matter is light just vibrating at a slower rate, which is energy.
1529 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him a Ruh from Me, fall ye down in obedience unto him."
3872 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him a Ruh from Me, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

Respectfully. jediExcellent question, sweet sugar.
I think i have the answe in the form of a sentence from the Qur'an. I don't know which sura and ayya but it says somewhere in the Qur'an that "from now on you cannot marry your mothers, sisters, ....... "It's intersting that Allah Most Powerful says FROM NOW ON. What does that mean? That until than brothers married their sisters? ??? ??? If i am mistaken, i pray to Allah Most Merciful to forgive. angel But only Allah Most Powerful knows ALL.
As salamu alaykum. jedi

I believe myself Adam refers to the first peoples and their spouses, as the plural is used here
- Then his Lord sent commands to Adam and turned towards him Indeed He is compassionate and kind.
- And We said to them "Go, all of you. When I send guidance, whoever follows it will neither have fear nor regret;
- But those who deny and reject Our signs will belong to Hell , and there abide unchanged."

- Then his Lord sent commands to Adam and turned towards him Indeed He is compassionate and kind.
As per your logic then the word here should hv been 'them'. But here the word is HIM.
- And We said to them "Go, all of you. When I send guidance, whoever follows it will neither have fear nor regret;
Story points towards Adam, mate & satan not many humans.
- But those who deny and reject Our signs will belong to Hell , and there abide unchanged."
Sure!

The quotations you provide from the book prove that the author is ignorant of the physics and the correct naming of these phenomena. Scattering is quite a different phenomenon to dispersion which he is actually describing.
The separation of white light into the spectrum of frequencies that compose it is called "dispersion" not scattering.
Beware of authors who pretend to know what they are writing about, especially when it involves underlying subjects such as the soothsayer Edgar Cayce.

When you refer to a country we use 'she' or 'he', also a palace with it's inhabitants is refered to as 'she' in many languages. So that Adam is approached as 'him', doesn't take away at all that it is refering to a group or people.

Salam Arnie,
I was always wondering why people looked different from each other if we all are descendants of Adam and Eve. I thought it had to do with the evolution of the humanrace and maybe because God can change people whenever and however He wishes. That was my theory about the origin of the different races. But now that I read your explanation of that verse, it made me think and change my 'theory'. Also because God claims in the Quran that He created every creature in pairs (788 ), which might mean that the different races also have been created in pairs?
What are your thoughts about this subject?
-
Peace,
The 'pairs' doesn't refer to just being two, it refers to that everything is made with opposites, like sweet and salt, hot and cold, + and -, man and woman. And the differences between the races is because 200.000 years ago (at least) the human species started most likely in Africa, and started with one race. When this race spread over the earth, they started to live an remain in certain lands with certain enviroments. Just like the first peoples were formed through their enviroment, likewise these people were influenced by their new enviroment and started to adapt to that specific enviroment.
People in Europe lost their dark skin as they didn't need the protection no more and especialy they needed every little bit of sun they could get, so they skin changed to take in more sun and lost the pigment. Every enviroment formed the people in what we see now. Short, tall, their colour, beards or not. They all, we all have the same origin with the same first race, but through spreading to different enviroments, we adapted to those enviroments. I believe the first race is adam, and we are bani adam.
Hope this clears it up.
Peace

Science sucks IMO
Especially physics, no body has ever seen a fricken atom before, it amazes me how people can believe atoms exist but deny the existence of God, there?s more proof that God exists then there are that Atoms exist!!
I read in a book that every contemporary "scientific fact" today can be proven false due to the limitations and flaws of research. 'Science' is flawed beyond belief o o, has any body read the book "Science Has It?s Limits"?
A lot of stuff in science is blind belief )
I read in the book "God Arises" that in the future technology will be so advanced you will be able to see the past, like your watching TV or something. Obviously it sounds too good to be true but if you actually read the book you could understand that the idea was not as wacky as it sounds, especially when the author used verses from the Quran to prove his point.

Humans/people are refered as THEY or THEM not 'he' / 'she'.
So that Adam is approached as 'him', doesn't take away at all that it is refering to a group or people.
Nothing but conjectureing bs
-
sure it is a fairly weak argument but I don't believe that it is conjecture or BS.
This Adam and Eve phenomenon has to be the most powerful argument about questioning Quranic divinity IMO. It is a miles better argument then some of the BS scholars have come up with in the past. Don't you think we should continue this discussion to the Quranic Divinity section? >D >D
I asked my sis about this argument and she said that she accepts it as illogical as it is. I asked someone else when i was a kid and they said maybe incest was not forbidden then yuck yuck coz the earth has to be populated some how yuck yuck and certain minor laws have been changed over the years i.e. extra food prohibitions imposed on the Jews. Ever thought that Adam and Eve could be an allegorical description for God telling us that we did not evolve from apes?

Peace brother
Please be aware this argument has absolutely no merit, because the plural in the verb may indicate that the order was for Adam, his mate and Iblis
is there anything that may suggest that can not be a possibility?
when they find it, we can then look into their argument, other than this they can keep companioning Iblis

Sorry bro arnold
I beleive Marlboro answer was spot on
now we would like you "if you don't mind" to explain to us all the meanings where the word Adam appeared in the Quran and convince us how it fits your logic
thank you
