The Omnipotent, Omnipresent, All knowing but Doing Nothing?

Do we have the knowledge to busind houses in such a way that earthquake wont distroy like it has done in pakistan ? Was their any fault from human side while building those houses as we know humans get corrupted easily..??
Is this the real question? Of Human fallibility? or the Real question is IMPOTENCE OF A IMNIPOTENT and COMPASSIONATE GOD who is unable to intervene when his OWN LAWS creates such DEATH and DESTRUCTION?
No chaps and chapess - this question is very PROFOUND and has been debated for centruries and still is being debated and there is no answer to this question...NO ONE KNOWS THE TRUTH (to echo forum member open your mind wink)

Yes we all die eventually, but why some have to die so early and that too in a miserable condition? Their bodies left to rot in the open. Kids few year old with amputated limbs screaming in pain.

The translations are misleading.
"Be and it becomes".We don?t seem to agree on any translation of the verses of Quran, we like to interpret the translations according to our own desires or suitability, at least this is what I have noticed in all the Islamic forums I have visited or all the discussions I have viewed on tv.
The laws of the universe are not broken. The God has put into place a system of laws / physics that must take place. The continents must slide, the earthquakes happen as a consequence.
No one has an anchor implanted firmly in this world. Life is temporary, fleeting. The death of these people may be a mercy, and it is certainly a test, and the God promises that people will be tested.
What about parting of the red sea? Turning humans who transgressed into apes or swines?
Causing a man to die for 100 years? or the sleepers of the cave for 309 years? And my friend what about the destruction of the town of lot? Or Aad ? Laws of physics or Gods wrath?May be my good friend layth can answer it?
Fine if we stick to that theory of laws of physics, it make easy for us to understand. Or if we say after the completion of our deen and after sending his last prophet he is not interfering until the day of judgment, it will make easy for people like me to understand, but if we say those who have died have died because of laws of physics and those who have survived God have saved them then it becomes confusing for me.

If bad people are in misery we say, see how God is punishing them; O He is swift in accountability. If they are leading good life we say, God has given them time to rethink.
If good people suffer we say, it?s their test. If they are flourishing we say, see how God has rewarded them for their deeds.

We humane being needs to test people to know what their feelings are towards us because we don?t know what?s in the hearts of others, is he like us?I hope you can work through it. Many times these sorts of thoughts are an expression of one's own fears.
Be rational my friend, this is 2005. I admit I am a weak person, I cannot see people in pain no matter who they are, I am happy to see people happy and I am sad to see them suffering, this is the way I am.

My friend WE ALL are trying our best to help the victims of this tragedy, believe me there is no one I know who isn?t doing his best but we are not omnipotent and we have our limitations. There is no lack of will, but lack of resources.

thank you for your kind words, believe me my friend it is not only because of my country men i feel this way, i felt the same when tsunami killed thousands.
what you say is logical and japan is an example. the problem is we muslims are taught to relate or explain every thing in term of religion and GOD, that is where our confusion starts and we ask questions like these. if we explain such happenings according to the laws of physics as mentioned by brother truth and not through religion things will be much easy for us.

Religion is created to take advantage of our emotional imbalance. It manipulates to create false hope and take advantage of it. Thats why we see religious ppl doing nothing but cursing or whining abt problems. Religion doesn?t go thru logic and the only way it survives is by creating illusion of false hope.
There will be always natural destruction. We call it destruction because it harms us but nature will flow in its own way. Does it care about its inhabitants? Does it understand human agony? I dont think so. Same with God. It will flow its own way but the only help we are getting from it is the guidance. Now what is this guidance ? Obviously not those humming suras or chanting or crying out "God save me". Noo! it doesn?t work like that. The only help nature/God can give us is the wisdom. Manual of this natural system. Now its our job how to utilize these instructions.
I am so tired of these religious ppl cursing and chanting and always trying to blame on others.....these ppl are parasites...they create vacuum in the system.
I think it doesn?t matter even if you pray thousand times asking God to help unless you go and help yourself. So the bottom line should be to help ourselves and be appreciative to the knowledge or the source. What is the source of knowledge? May be it is what God say to believe in the unseen?the source of knowledge.

It depends brother? For the person who dies maybe it isn?t bad but for his/her loved ones, it is terrible.

What do you think about it?We are here in this illusion to be tested. Always remember that. Can we remain at Peace in the face of difficulty? Everyone we love is going to die. We have to develop the ability to enjoy a person/thing without the attachment. Because we cannot avoid people leaving us, dying, etc. We have to be able to remain at peace. We have many examples of people who lose many family members at one time but they do not go out and kill themselves, then we have examples of people who do, so its not in the event, its inthe REACTION. The proper reaction to all events is PEACE. Emotions like sadness, anger, etc will lead us down the wrong path.
