WHO HERE ARE THE ALLAH/QUR-AN ONLY PEOPLE...?
-
Peace nabi. Ok,is the interpretation of the quran only people god inspired?
If i ask you a question, while having an opinion of my own on that question, what is the problem? If you show me im incorrect or have made a wrong conclusion(which happens,we are all human. )then i will see if you have a clearer insight on this topic. Is this not the purpose of discussion and questions? Why are you making an assumption that you think i already have a unshiftable preconceived notion to my questions? I have a previous opinion but it is not necessarily set in stone. Or can you read my mind/heart? I feel your defensiveness is possibly beacause you feel uncomfortable with some questions. I could be wrong.
Peace. -
Salaam Enquirer,
I have no doubt that God speaks outside the quran as well.
Neither do I. As a matter of fact, the entire Quran speaks outside of it, which is what is written down and condensed in a book form by men. Much of the Quran itself is a rehash, repetition and reinstatement of what has previously been already known along with added events of its own time.
And i will ask,can you be 'god alone' without being quran alone?
Certainly, I am for one, not related to parochial dogmatic school of thoughts. (or do we have 'quran only' sectarianism)
-
Peace danish. I am glad to hear your open-mindedness.
Peace. -
Salaams all,
yes i do think ,
Quran alone = God alone,
But God alone doesn't equal quran alone.
But the first is the safest bet as everything is compiled into one book to make us God Alone easier - i think.
Salaams.
-
Peace simple. I understand your reasoning and it may be fine for you at this time. The common factor however is god,not just the quran.I dont think you can always limit guidance to one book only.God is the all,not the quran.(which is a part.)You can learn from the all.
Peace all. -
Peace
Enquirer you are still making assumptions. The reading is not the only guidance in this world, the reading itself has proposed this.
You assume
We (whomever you may be generalizing about) think that the quran is the only guidance.
We think God alone is ONLY quran alone.
I'm telling you that the people who adhere to the principles of the reading are those who take the stance of God alone, as Rabb . To take God alone is Lord/Rabb it is not necessary to know of the reading, but certain of it's principles should be upheld in order to be of such an ilk .
Do not presuppose that I am part of a sect by telling me, or pushing the idea that I may believe or people under the so-called title "Quran Alone; God Alone" may believe that guidance is only to be had in the reading. I've no problem with your question, I've only a problem with what you're ensuing.

peace nabi and all. Nabi i am glad you stated your position, now i know your personal position and it seems very reasonable. I was stating 'some' quran only not all, that is not a generalisation. A generalisation (to my mind.)is when i say all or most without evidence. Are you telling me that no quran only people believe the quran is the only way to salvation? If so,i stand corrected.
Peace all. -
Peace
Like you, I do not know all people. So I cannot answer your question definitively. I will say that I doubt all people believe in guidance outside reading if they believe the reading is the only guidance. In my opinion these people are not really following the reading in this respect.

When you are Qur'an only, you have made the Qur'an into an idol, putting your trust therein. To truly be God only, you must let go your attachment to the Qur'an and let God be your personal guide. Abraham had no book, but he followed the perfect religion, Islam. So you are only truly a God Only Muslim when you no longer need the Qur'an, or any other scripture.
-
Peace nabi,i think we understand each other on this topic, finally. )
Peace all. -
To me GOD Alone Means Quran Alone, you cant get to GOD without Quran, since GOD gave it to us,Its Our Guide to Salvation,IF that bothers people they need to stop referring to themselves as Muslims and stop talking about Quran,And Islaam..And stop trying to make people believe that they represent True Submission..And there are no other books out there that leads to salvation,Only the Quran does that and without it your lost...all other books that GOD has sent before the Quran became corrupted and the Quran says so..And not following the Quran is going back into the world and you have become confused and lost.
Theres plenty of paths out there that believe in or accept one god or source whatever you may refer to god as..But If that god is not the GOD of the QURAN then its a false god. They will not get you salvation.
Sorry if Ive offended any one,if I get banned so be it,but I am getting tired of people speaking against GOD and HIS Words the Quran.Trying to make Him and the Quran into some NEW AGE BS.These people would be better on a forum like Mystic Wicks and into NEO Paganism.
PS any True Quran Alone/God Alone Muslims are welcome to come to my forum where you will not find such blasphemies...

Peace jhamza and all. Some christians will say the same about jesus being the only way to the truth. Who should i believe? I believe people(on this forum.) are not generally speaking against god and his words, but against incorrect interpretations of god and his words. Please brother try to be a little more open-minded. peace.

Peace enquirer,
I have no problem with being open minded,Thats what brought me here and not still trying to learn Sunnism. But Im not going to deny GOD(the God of Islaam) and His only Revelations(the Quran) in doing it.To me to say that we dont need the Quran is speaking against our GOD,HE SENT IT SO WE NEED IT,to say other words is blasphemy. -
Peace jhamza. I will ask a few questions;is it the words of the quran we should follow or the meaning/morals? If i come to the same meaning/morals without the quran does it matter? And who determines the meanings of the verses?if its god, then by what means? And why so much opinion on salat if the verses are clear?Note also 3;7. Verses that may not be as literal or straightforward as others. Patience and tolerance are needed in this quest for knowledge.

Salaams Br,all,
where other then the quran do we find all of what we want to be God Alone?
A physics book ,the bible or something else maybe?
But i havn't said you can't be God Alone without the quran it is possible, though its easier with the quran as it is giving us concepts if you understand them to be totally God Alone- i think so.
Salaams and God Bless.

I disagree with this assumption. True, Abraham had no quran. True it is very possible to believe and follow the God alone without quran. But to go as far as saying you can only be a true follower of God alone when you "no longer need quran", is preposterous. Quran is God's word. The God communicates to us through different means, one being through a messenger/message. To think for one second that we as humans are even a degree 'above' needing this message is the epitomy of arrogance. If we revealed this Quran to a mountain, you would see it trembling, crumbling, out of reverence for God. We cite these examples for the people, that they may reflect.(5943)
The believers are those whom, when God is mentioned, their hearts reverence; and when His revelations are recited to them, it increases their faith; and they put their trust in their Lord. (82)
Peace be with you all.

Peace jhamza. I will ask a few questions;is it the words of the quran we should follow or the meaning/morals? If i come to the same meaning/morals without the quran does it matter? Peace all.Peace enquirer,
Following the words of the Quran is the same a following the morals and meanings. If it says dont kill, then how can we follow the words if not the meaning..
I may be wrong, but yes it does matter,an atheist,or polythiest,or any rejecter of the Quran will not make it to heaven.I cant recall the surah, but it states that those who dont come to know Allah and become submitters and believers will go to hell..And yes it speaks of monotheist like Noah,Abraham etc,but they lived prior to the revealing of the Quran to Muhammad. And they followed only the true GOD,not false ideas of a true god. This does not mean that a monotheist cant be a good moral person etc ,even atheist can be good people.....As for salat,it says plainly to perform salat..either leaving it open to the individual as to how they glorify and honor God or by us following the example of Abraham, and Muhammad which was preserved and handed down to us,but without the mentioning of Muhammad or others.
I AGREE patient and tolerance is needed..but to remain silent when people blaspheme GOD is wrong.
-
peace jhamza and all. I agree with the literal translation of; 'do not kill',definately. However other verses are more open to doubtful/multiple interpretations and 3;7 states this in the quran. The definition of polytheist or rejector etc..is i believe wrongly interpreted, some people would be called rejector if they believed that salat was not solely physical or hajj was not to mecca,etc..And seems to me that some believe an idolator is someone who does not follow their opinion of what constitutes belief.(see 4;94.) Years ago i started on sunni methodology,as soon as i read the quran and thought the quran was sufficient without hadith i was labelled a disbeliever/blasphemer.(i am not on quran only methodology now,i would say god only methodology now.)people should check before branding people. Anyway all people are still my brothers and sisters regardless of what they assume my beliefs constitute. Peace to all in our quests for true knowledge.
-
Peace claurianta and all. I agree with a lot of your post.We should not idolise the quran. However to say that you can only be 'god only' if you do not need any scripture may be misinterpreted by some. The message of the Scriptures does not have to be written or read, but can be seen in ones' own experience and the signs in nature.Scriptures can act like a kickstart or map on their journey for some. Some maybe do not need it because the whole of nature/existence is one big scripture. ) I dont feel we have to ignore scripture or idolise it,but we can get knowledge from anywhere. Nabis' interpretation of his own methodology seems to suggest that god speaks in the quran and in other sources too,so this is technically like god alone. Finally i would clarify that i believe 'god only' can be a misleading term, because god is all,so can we say 'god only'?Thats an oxymoron. I believe god only is another term for saying you will take knowledge from all sources(within your grasp.)with an open mind.In other words a mystic methodology. I believe that everyone has their own journey to the truth(within their own intellectual understanding.),and we should try to be open, tolerant, receptive to fresh perspectives, understanding of each others viewpoints, unbiased, and help each other in our journey, not label, divide and belittle.
Peace all.
