Did all messengers go down in worldly success , of anykind, or upwards and showed people how they may go upwards aswell through just means and share it ?
Should we be trying to follow their footsteps too or not?

I agree with zein when he states that this has nothing to do with financial wealth, even though it is not exclusive - everything depends on what u do with ur wealth...

Well elke sorry but my mind is made up here - i wouldn't be a follower of any body calling themselves a messenger where they have to carry a bowl to beg and yet be the most peaceful that isn't my islam then again you are entitled to your view.
No body can match the followers of Allah not the shaitan or anybody else thank you if you think the shaitans or the mundane humans can be better offs then those who believe and follow the creater you don't know what or who he is and what power he has for his slaves.Then again i don't mean all the powerfull ones are his slaves but then again they will never last long.

I don't understand what you are trying to say in this post or the entire thread. To clarify...if anyone is 'poor' or 'begging' or in a state of upheaval (countries as well as humans), they are not those who believe or the slaves of Allah? Who do you think is lasting long? Any examples that constitute long lasting prosperity that we can examine? Or the ones that are prosperous only prosperous when they are 'believers'? Can there be a little more complexity involved than one's belief or following God in regards to prosperity and that too material prosperity? Thanks.

The research is done here I believe in the UK. In the UK majority of the Muslims are from Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

This because the old extended-family system that is prevalent in Asian societies is breaking up due to the nature of society here and the lifestyle.
? Muslims have the highest rate of unemployment of all religious groups
This is because education of girls is discouraged and frowned upon by traditional muslims from the Indian Subcontinent.
I also believe that traditionalist view of life here on Earth is not very positive. Intellectual and personal success and fullfilment in life is looked on negatively since these things will not get you to heaven. So even for boys there is no onus to make something with their life...
? Muslims were identified with the poorest health of all communities
This is because women from the Indian subcontinent are mostly confined to their homes by their menfolk. High fat diet and no exercise is not good for any person.
? Muslims have the highest rate of disability amongst all communities at 24%
This is because First Cousin Marriages are allowed in Islam. Perhaps upto 90% of Pakistanis and Bangladeshis marry their first cousins especially here in this country. This is not genetically healthy.
? Lowest level of educational qualifications from all groups
Because education of girls is frowned upon by traditionalist muslims and wordly sucess and personal fulfilment is not looked upon positively especially for girls.

This is because like the catholics traditionalist muslims discourage contraception. So on average Muslims here have larger families.

For the people who are trying to get a job, racial/religious discrimination is a big hurdle. Does one try to shave off his beard or drop her veil to get a job? Does this rate include women who are more likely to be full-time homemakers? There are less of a range of jobs for Muslims to choose from e.g. no gambling, alcohol, sex industry etc Do Muslims have the finances to get qualifications.

I think that, even if we are hit with hard times, such as unemployment, disabilities, etc., it doesn't mean that Allah is not with us. These can be tests of faith, and it can even be that these hardships that Muslims are facing is because Allah wants to remove their past sins. I mean.. punishment in this life is surely better than punishment in the next isnt it.

It?s the struggle for "PEACE AND SECURITY FOR ALL - I THINK".
Instead those who are labeling themselves ?Muslim? are but idol worshippers, sorry to say and that is the reason for the rotten state they are in, they will stay in it as long as they don?t stick with the principles laid out in the great book ? the quran ,for success and prosperity.
