salam alaykoum
i'm new in this forum and i have a bad level of english '(
i'm muslim girl who trust in god more than every thing and i see that there is very stranges(stupid) hadiths that i don't think that the prophet said or have done that
i gow up in a sunni family but my parents don't do that salat and i know that sunnis people pray 5 times a day and chiits(they aren't considerated as muslims by a lot of people) 3 times a day .what i want to know is if when prophet muhamed was alive did build a mosque to pray and how many times a day people prayed? in school i have studied religion and they told us that we must pray 5times/day and god didn't talk about how do the salat in coran because he wants us to follow prophet and they told us that sunna is the complement of coran.
i want you to give me sourate of coran(in arabic please and indicate me which soura is) who shows the meenig of salat and if there mosque

"Evidence provided"??? Like what, how, when and where? Oh! I get it...."having differing conclusions"!!! ???
Each "differing conclusion" thus becomes the one and only "evidence provided". o Go figure that one out. Talk about contradictions, going against the Quran, disbelievers, enemy of Islam, et al. LOL.
Must anyone say anything against the Quran.....ssshhh, nah, never, not me.

In my opinion, the traditional way of salat was invented to draw the Zoroastrians, Christians and Jews into Islam. Firstly, the moves are similar to Zoroastrian way of prayer. And secondly, I think the mentioning of Muhammad and Abraham is clearly a way to persuade the 'people of the book' into accepting Muhammad because it shows that Islam, just like Christianity and Judaism, believe in Abraham.

Welcome to the forum, first of all i say, you're gonna have to get used to the different minds here at the forum, so don't be alarmed if you get some contradicting answers from people.

So you can get the whole Salat from the Quran itself, as the sunna is a man-made dogma, developed years later after the prophet. As there was no real sunna(=custom, not specificaly only of the prophet, every village, tribe or city had their own sunna), as every city, followed their own customs next to the Quran.
The only thing i don't agree is the Qibla being directed to the Kaab'a, as i believe it is focused on the Truth, and i reject the notion of the kneeling dividing the prostration as this is not found in the Quran.
The Quran contain all details you need for Islam, enjoy your return to the Quran...... )
