    Peace All,

2130 Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth used to be one solid mass that we exploded into existence? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?
Awa lam yara allatheena kafaroo anna alssamawati waal-arda kanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalna mina alma-i kulla shay-in hayyin afala yu/minoona
If you believe that "jinn" are living things then 2130 means they must be made of water. This is a bald fact. An inescapable reality.

    Very good point !

why it is good I wonder?
under that flawed point then the Quran has a contradiction because the Quran said humans were created from soil, now the above says everything alive is created from water
please resolve the contradiction Oben has hatched with his flawed point

I don't see any contradiction here. The Ayah clearly saysAnd from water we made all living things. Would they not believe?
"From" is "Min" in Arabic. It indicates meaning being part of something.
What is water? It is H2O.
The jinn are made from water because they can very well be made from Hyrogen only or Oxygen only, or combined with other elements. I would guess it is Hyrogen.

God says that jinn are created from Marijin min Naar.
The word Marij comes from the root Ma-Ra-Ja
This word or its derivatives appear in the following Ayat + + + +.

      Bro
      The Quran speaks for itself.
Mohammed was a Messenger of Allah from the Ummyins, i.e. those who were not given a scripture before, he was an Arab, and he was intially rejected by the ones he preached to who included Christians, Jews, Idolaters and Others. Allah sent a prophet among the Arabs who were the worst in idolatry in the region. It is a miracle that ultimately they submitted, another potent Sign from the Most Wise.
Brother are you sure you are a Quran Alone person, it seems to me you are a troublemaker )
      Nabster out
not sending you peace this time

I suggest you get back on track with this thread before it gets totally out of control, which is usually the case of people like you. My concerns about the Quran and my beliefs can be browsed at appropriate threads and borrowed for further discussion addressed to me, if you wish. Take you sweet and peaceful time. You have plenty of reading and studying to catch up to. Chow. )

4121 And they will ask their skins, "Why did you testify against us?" They will say, "Allah has given us the power to speak as He has given speech to all things. For, He created you for the first time and unto Him you are brought back. (1713, 7514).

This same verse also says that... He has given speech to all things

From current arabic as I know it saut can also refer to the tone or tempo of a voice, and natq to language spoken.

        Nabster

        Peace,
I had the same thought, which explains the best understanding is that Tair refers to cavalery, which is one of it's neglected meanings.

                          Jinn is NOT genie.
That's a sunni myth, if you can call it that.
Find out what the word Jinn actually means, then look at some people's ideas on what jinns can be.
Wikipedia is only talking about islamic (sectarian) BELIEFs. Not studying the arabic of the Quran to come up with a meaning.

is the usual English translation of the Arabic term jinni, but it is not an Anglicized form of the Arabic word, as is commonly thought. The English word comes from French g?nie, which meant a spirit of any kind, which in turn came from Latin genius, which meant a sort of tutelary or guardian spirit thought to be assigned to each person at birth (see genius). The Latin word predates the Arabic word jinni, and the two terms have not been shown to be related. The first recorded use of the word in English was in 1655 as geny, with the Latin meaning. The French translators of the Arabian Nights later used the word g?nie as a translation of jinni because it was similar to the Arabic word both in sound and in meaning; this meaning was also picked up in English and has since become dominant.

but even the article says that the word "genie" and "jinn" are not related.

You believe the Quran is the word of 'Allah', plain and simple and no other information supercedes it. So what's the point of 1736 in the first place regardless of what people bring about? That is not only a circular reasoning but a moot one at best. Are you even familiar with who and what 'Allah' is, the concept of GOD and why I believe that the Quran is NOT and CANNOT be the words of GOD. Anyhow, this is a different subject matter altogether and I shall be happy to discuss this in its appropriate thread/section. But for now, I can see that you are quite naive.

Well ,well, well. Alot of things are answered for me by your revealing of this.

I am really glad that after the observation of Oben (truth) that at least I know now for sure that they are physical beings in, mainly, a gas state. They can be part of us and that depends on our chemistry at the moment. Like in a state of a strong, heated emotions, for example anger, I think that when the atoms in the water of our body start to move apart, we feel the "adrenaline rush" and the sudden strength, this looks to me like jinn power as we can do things that we cannot do under ordinary circumstances. And maybe that is why it is said that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was advising that in anger we should make ablution, and also to sit down. The water will cool us and the sitting will settle us down to earth. This should bring us back to our earthly human nature.

And just remember that before the formation of Earth, the whole universe was gases. This explains that jinn existed way before humans...

Maybe the scientists here can help with this founding. Appreciated!

                                      Angels (pure energy/light)

The Quran doesn't say this. We don't know what angels are made of. And energy is as much pure light, there doesn't excist something like 'pure' light. There only excist differetn frequencies of energy, where from we call certain frequencies light.

This also explains that Angels and Jinns can morph and take human forms whereas humans cannot.

Quran says this only about angels not jinns.

                                      Peace

Yes ok, this information is culturally (arabic) based, and since we restrict ourselves to Quran Only, it is therefore no proof ...
Pure energy "nuur" (not pure light), ie particles that have no mass like photons.

The Quran does not say what the Malae'kah are made of. I don't recall anything of that ever said in Quran.

                                          Brother TAJ, Peace,
I said it was culturally based... We accept culturally Angels made from Nuur, and in the Quran it is not stated that the people exposed to the Scripture ever asked what were Jinns or Angels, so it might be the case that what they knew to be the case was close enough to the truth.
Then Allah describes Angels as having different levels of powers (more wings), which again point to energy.
However Allah refers to Inns and Jinns as the both ones who have mass (ayuha athakallan), so by inference, once can deduce that angels do not have mass, so they migh be made of pure energy/radiation.
                                          And Allah knows best
                                          Salam
                                          Nabster
