Peace all,
Have a nice day Tay
You too.
Is it black on white, I thought it is black on light blue grey.
Since we're being technical, I'd say it's probably closest to html code CCFFFF
Anyways a mature way of bowing down...
Well doneI am in a silly mood today, the pills I am taking
Got some extras?

The pills I take are not what you think

PS I have an interesting question for those into the real/physical duality question.
Is having a mental/emotional disorder physical or real?
Also if something is physical is it real?
And if something is real is it physical?
No cheating, you must provide convincing practical examples...
Or forget it... hehe -

Why are we still discussing something that isn't physical isn't real? Wow. This is mere fact. Do you not see?
People have emotions, so we can say they are real.
Emotions are not physical, meaning they are not tangible.
Therefore, emotions are real and not physical.Water freezes at 0 degrees Celsius.
This law is not physical, meaning this law is not tangible.
Therefore, this law is real, and not physical.People have thoughts, so we can say they are real.
Thoughts are not physical, meaning they are not tangible.
Therefore, thoughts are real and not physical.Things that are real don't have to be physical. This is fact. We are further than this. Please, AB, noble, when people say Djenna and Jahannam are states/conditions, that does NOT mean they are not real. Much like emotions are states/conditions (when I am upset, it can be said that I am in a state/condition of sadness), Djenna and Jahannam CAN be states/conditions as well. Please, people who say this are simply saying this is also another possibility. Not that IT IS. It's simply a possibility, that's all. Please be willing to accept that it can be a possibility. However, you have to agree that something that isn't physical doesn't mean that it is not real, as shown above.

OK OpenMind your definition is
not tangible = not physical.
For me I do not distinguish between real and physical. In fact I even doubt there is something physical altogether in this life, it is all an intricate, albeit very convincing illusion, meant as a Test. As for in the Hereafter, this will be the Reality. This life is just a stepping stone for what comes next.
It will take me a long time to elaborate on this. -

That was really cool man, I believe the Quran supports what you say, the Quran told us that at the moment of resurrection all our life on earth will be felt like one day or so, i.e. all these years was an illusion to serve the test, with eternity though it can't be an illusion because time does not exist any more

And of course what we do has consequences, it is as if what matters really as far as we are concerned are the choices we make. And everytime we are presented with a test, then a choice, until we die, that ends our program, and we exit loser or winner, or undecided (Al-Aaraf)...
I like to see this life as a big stage (movie) with the human actors being given some freedom in their role, with allah being the Producer, and from that freedom and the choices we make, the movie finishes and we cannot go back to it, as it is a one way production, and we find The Producer at the end of it with the reward or the punishment.
And to Allah belongs the best Parables... -

I don't think that's what that verse means. But anyway...this is the problem I have with a physical hell (regardless of what the quran says)
- If this world is an illusion, our bodies are illusions, the word "physical" itself is an illusion. Nothing physical matters. It is the immaterial that we should concern ourselves with. What is inside our souls.
The physical "reality" is an illusion. We can play and distract ourselves with physical things, but what matters is how we feel inside. A rich drug dealer can womanize all he wants, buy all the cars he wants...but it won't change the condition of his heart. He will still be in hell in the true reality which is immaterial.
-
Pain, physical pain, is caused by our nervous system inside our bodies. If someone's nervous system doesn't function, he/she cannot feel pain. In fact, people can eliminate pain through meditation.
Our state of mind determines how much pain we feel. A soldier getting shot might not feel that much pain because he will get to go home. Child birth in some cultures is more painful than in others because of how child birth and motherhood is viewed.
So Pain, like every other physical thing, is an illusion. -
If God does send us to a physical place after our deaths, that doesn't make God very forgiving.
If Hell is what we put ourselves into by our actions here on earth, and hell is temporary, we can get ourselves out of it and that does make God very forgiving and merciful.
So a physical hell also contradicts what the Quran says about God.
There is no spoon because a spoon is a physical object. There are no physical objects.
Everything is ONE, part of GOD. -

2964 This worldly life is no more than play and distraction, while the abode of the Hereafter is the reality, if they only knew.2964
