      peace,

      Welcome to the forum.

Many people here (including myself) have had similar experiences & questions to yourself. Its good that you dont accept everything you read (including the content of this site), always be willing to take your time, reflect and verify.

I hope your journey is a fruitful one.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

              Salam.

To question or to just follow?
We must always verify everything and everyone, right, remember?
              That's one.
Two Ask The God anything you want and you'll see how will the answer arrive.
I know what i'm talking about.

              Salam.

                salem and peace

6 months ago i went with my younger cousin to a quran study group

this was in morocco, it was like a sleepover at a large household for a couple of days, where we would recite the quran and the hadith of sahih bukhari and tell each other storys, and talk etc etc

anyway on the second night the group started getting into a debate and then i started to participate suddenly i commanded the attention of the room and of course i was talking about the contradictions between the hadith and the quran, after i finished there was total silence in the room, then 10-15 seconds later my cousin and a few other people shaked my hands and kissed me on either cheek. then we went into the other room and had mint tea.

It was a strange experience, but i made my cousin and a few others more aware, ever since i came to this country
ive learnt a growing atiitude that exists with many. A hush and move on quietly attitude, turn a blind eye, because the truth becomes Inconvieniant !!

they have been following this for generations why change it now?? why question it?

Deena (1God4theBelievers) iam glad you made a stance, even against your own blood, at the end of the day the truth is most important, if not we jepordize everything !

                  Salam Bro,

This is true. Maybe I do this a little too much lately. I seem to be questioning everything. It's a full-time job. really. But I do believe God will help me through this, insha'Allah.

                    Salam bro onepath,

I understand everything you're saying. The truth is the most important. But I feel content knowing that it is less than a feet away from me ;D

It's weird because I was just talking to my sister tonight about this just to make her understand where I'm at with this issue, and that I would like her respect and confidence that Im doing my best to find my answers even though it is different from hers. She was pretty cool about it. I was telling her that now I'm in the middle of researching this path and that I need time to read the Quran fully before I openly talk about it with other people. Especially learned people. I need more time to prepare a better way to present my point of view I guess. All in due time.

                      Salam.

You know, you can question all you want, all day, every day, as long as you want. The God will tell you what you need to know, if He so wills. When He wills.

All we gotta do is be patient.
                      Patience is the weapon.

                      Peace.

But I couldnt give up on God. I still believed in him. With fury, I had defended my stance against Hadeeth for its lack of infallability. I said, how can you say that the Word of God is not enough!! (this is before I found this site, by the way). Just who is this Bukhari person and why wasnt his Hadeeth mentioned in the Quran if we are to follow it? Why are there so many Haraams that cannot be justified by the Quran, if the Quran was brought for all people of all times and GUARANTEED Word of God? I began to think there was something wrong with me if I chose the Quran over the Hadeeth. But I don't anymore. I feel at peace. I feel less restricted and more able to follow what God has set down for me. I'm just thankful and hopeful that I can start my new journey in discovering exactly what this mysterious book contains. I hope I am following the right course, God willing.

                        peace sis Deena
