My mother told me to meet this sufi sheikh and he read some verses of the Koran on me and then gave some water with Koranic verses read on it. He also gave me some zikr I should do everyday for 5 days.

What do you think about that? Does it really work?

BIGMO My mother told me to meet this sufi sheikh and he read some verses of the Koran on me and then gave some water with Koranic verses read on it. He also gave me some zikr I should do everyday for 5 days. What do you think about that? Does it really work?

EDP Yes, it will work miracles dear Bigmo, especially after the age of 36. You have only four years left for the crucial age; so, hurry up. After it started working, you will be given rosaries and instructions teaching you how to see your sheikh not only in your waking time, if you have any, but in your dreams too. Those rosaries and dreams too will work. You are on your way to fly to heaven together with your sheikh. You should not forget to hang onto a strand of hair in his beard and always pray for his intercession. It is reported by Hadrat-i Falan bin Fulan that a great sheikh can lift up as many followers equal to the strands of hair he has in his holy beard. Other versions of the report add the number of threads in the turban too.

You are right my friend, thinking for yourself is a difficult task. You might need to pick a great sheikh to do such a task for you... Also, you will be told that reaching to God is not easy; you need a holy man to intercede on your behalf. You will also learn from them that God has placed holy power brokers by the gates of His heaven... The short list of "zikr" you received for recitation is just a start. Your dose of zikr will be increased gradually and a year later, you will not have time to think at all, since you will be repeating some Arabic prayers like a holy parrot all the time. You will carry a rosary with 99 beads in your pocket to keep track of the exact numbers instructed by your sheikh. You will learn many stories of great miracles shown my your sheik and others in the chain.

When you prove that you have submitted yourself completely to the will of your sheikh, then you will be given some more powerful prayers that contain a long list of names of dead sheikhs in your order. Just reciting those ostentatious names might make you feel being saved. To increase your reward in Heaven you will also learn hundreds of secrets. For instance, you will always enter bathrooms with left foot and exit them with right foot. You will always try not to laugh. You will fast every other day. You will clean your bottom with odd numbers of rocks. To protect yourself from the torture in grave, you will be taught the secret of inserting cotton into your penis after each time you urinate?. You will become an angle walking on earth!

You better find the most favored holy broker and try your best to please him like a slave... In the future, your sheikh might wish to choose your future wife for you too. Isn't it an incredible blessing, Bigmo? Look at those people who marry women of their own choosing; they end up with miserable lives. (Don't look at me; I am an exception!). To provide a peace of mind for their followers, some sheikhs help them by transferring the wealth of their followers to their bank accounts. What a great help! Imagine how stressful and distracting is to deal with money and wealth... Furthermore, you might be asked to sleep less and less, since too much sleep is sin... How lucky you are... Can you imagine dreaming not only during night, but also day time!

After reading some of your postings here, I am not surprised that you are one of those lucky ones who would be blessed with holy waters, holy dreams, holy rosaries, and holy cookies. Please do not listen to the skeptical and ignorant people who would tell you not to drink that water since it might contain germs from your sheikh's breath instead of verses of the Quran written on H2O molecules. Please do not lose your faith by trying to study the holy water with a microscope... Trust your sheikh fully and never ever question his wisdom. According to Sufi teachings, a follower must submit themselves to their sheik like a corpse submits himself to the corpse-washer.

Can you please convey our greetings and respect to that sheikh and ask him whether he has extra strands of hair and extra blow of breath and extra sips of watered verses of the Quran for other troubled people...

        Peace,
        Edip

By just replacing 19 in my response to Bigmo, neither you came up with relevant criticism against 19 nor with something original... What about thinking a little before posting here?

Haha. You are a funny guy Edip! Bigmo, what exactly did you think the Sufi Sheikh was going to do? I don't think they have the intellectual capacity for any sort of logical argument. This hocus pocus ain't going to do much besides make your mom happy.

                        Peace to all,

All I will add is that we shouldnt be making fun of Bigmo when is is sincerely asking us for advice, Bigmo, im sure listening to Quranic verses is fine, I would be cautious over listening to and doing all the suggestions of some so called sufi shiek, think for yourself and pray to God to help you and guide you, thats all you need, and read or listen to the Quran also, other than that just judge for yourself what you believe to be best.

                        Kurt

                          Dear Kurt,

Thank you for your reminder... But when the question is funny, silly, outrageous, then the answer sometimes mirroring such a question might have better rhetorical persuasion.

Again, mirroring or sarcasm is risky; since the one who asks the question might be sensitive and get offended...

                          Peace,

questions can't be funny or silly, answers can be!

My uncle told me that there are two pairs of questions wet and dry, purple and orange. He also added that we should always ask dry and orange questions since devil like wet and purple. He also warned me never to use exclamation mark in my answers because the dot is holy and should always be on top of the line. Do you agree with my uncle? What do you think RasulHamsa?

PS If my uncle's words sounds more ridiculous than an idiot turning water into panacea by blowing on it several times, then you should ask the following question Why Christians sip wine and eat bread in church pretending them to be the blood and flesh of their savior, and yet they find it neither silly nor appalling?

                                    Peace,
                                    Edip

So how do you interpret these verses

2.248 And (further) their Prophet said to them "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith."

12-93. "Go with this my shirt, and cast it over the face of my father he will come to see (clearly). Then come ye (here) to me together with all your family."

My mother told me to meet this sufi sheikh and he read some verses of the Koran on me and then gave some water with Koranic verses read on it. He also gave me some zikr I should do everyday for 5 days.

What do you think about that? Does it really work?

                                        Peace,
                                        Respectfully.

Today's Christians do the same in the church. I got nothing against it but i think it's wrong because it's not working.
The Quran must be followed, we must obey God by executing the orders from The Quran, God willing and not play with time.
                                        God knows best

                                        Peace.
