This situation can be applied to anything in life but in my case it is marriage.
If something seems like a blessing from God that he has given you something special (ie the person I like, who is also my bestest friend in the whole wide world) and you want to turn it into something beautiful (ie get married and start a family) but it never seems to work out as planned (ie financial problems) and you pray to God everyday to help you out but nothing changes, how would you know if...a) it isn't meant to be, so give up right now
b) it will happen at the right time which isn't now, so be patient
c) anything is possible if you work hard to get it, so work hardI really like this person a lot, we have knows each other for years and both our families know... everything seems right about it and about us getting married. I feel that it was a blessing from God who has let us meet one another and make each other happy. I have been praying to God to help us for so long but nothing has changed (
You get so many sayings about a, b and c but which one is right?I would definitely suggest a!!!!!!!!!

i'd say none of them, but rather a mix like
only if it's meant to be will it happen
so be patient and work on it and don't lose hope
if it's not meant to be, you'll come to understand it in time and you'll let gogood luck !
I tend to agree with this. It could be any one of a, b, or c, or it could be a mixture of any two or all three. Maybe, instead of praying to God for the result you want, perhaps you should pray for his guidance to understand what result God wants for you.

It is perhaps impossible to know if something is meant to be or not. It is an unknown. So, in such a situation, what is one to do?
For me it is a bit like being on a journey, and walking this journey, taking steps...... and often, you cannot be certain you will complete the journey or you will end up where you want to be or how close you are to the destination, but the most important part of the process in determining what happens is taking those steps, because with every step we get closer to finding out. Without taking those steps, it is unlikely you will find out either way.
So, it is a combination of (b) and (c) in your original post. The only thing I would add is continue to 'push the positive', what I mean by that is generate positivity with your thoughts/behaviour/deeds, for surely, it will be returned manifold to you. This is God's promise, and when it comes to unknowns, I keep on walking and put my trust in Him.
I am reminded of the wisdom "Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action."

Do you know if God would get in the way of what people try to achieve. I know he is able to do so, but does He actually do that?

Even if He did or did not, it is unlikely you would know it for certain. God doesn't really work for/against us, He works through us.
