Woahh, someone edited Ibn Khaldun's wikipedia from the time it took me to get to the library to my home. I wanted to read more about his stance on hadith and his admiration of the persian empire.
I know there was one famous Islamic Philospher-Scientist-Theologian (Man of Reason, yay who rejected hadith in Islamic history. Was that Khaldun?

Evolution Theory shall remain a theory! Man has distinct identity that makes him not part of evolution! No creature has any of the emotions that man possesses such as laughter, anger, sadness, anguish, fear, apprehension, depression, euphoria etc. And man is a mixture of all these emotions at any point of time; man is weighed on his emotional stability i.e., despite all emotions he shall have semblance of peace that makes him a human. Only man has the mind; and mind is not an evolved one. It is unique for human species.

I don't believe that only humans have all those emotions, or mind for that matter. You can see various mental qualities in non-human animals.

- Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
This is talking about the Solar system and not big bang. This is the problem with some Koranist who went to interpret the Koran in English and not translate the Koran to English. A translation is a linguistic process and not an interpretive one. I don't know why Koranist run away to the outside world and start translating the Koran and authoring books before even convincing the others of their interpretation. Thats why I think after all these years the Koranist persuasion is still minimal in exposure. There is no unity and everyone is acting individually. You would think a movement that started to emerge in the 1890s would by now claim a large share of at least the Muslim market. But there is no organization and no unity.
