    Peace,

Are we punished for our sins (if we don't repent) before we go to heaven?
If so, how? Do we get dipped into hell fire? &

    God bless

I don't know but some people have said that heaven is eternal and hell is eternal but what difference does it make? We can't control the process anyways. But the Koran says the believers who do righteousness in this life will have nothing to fear on the hereafter. As far as those in between if there is a category like that I don't know.

I'm not providing reference here but repentence is good since it's always worthy to acknowledge your faults before God. You've got two baskets you'll be carrying with you, the one with good fruit and the other with rotten fruit. The heavier package determines where you'll go.

Peace, everyone goes to hell first and then the righteous are removed from the hell and goes to heaven.

1971 - Every single one of you must see it; this is an irrevocable decision of your Lord.

1972 - Then we rescue the righteous, and leave the transgressors in it, humiliated.

You are mistaken. This might be on the Day of Judgement. Everyone SEES hell, to see how awful it is and to see how humiliating it is to be in hell. The righteous however DO NOT GO TO HELL.

"Give good news to those who believe and work righteousness that they will have gardens with flowing streams. When provided with provisions of fruits therein, they will say, "This is what was given to us in the past." They will be given similar provisions, and they will have pure spouses therein. They abide therein forever." 225

"Those who emigrate in the cause of God, then get killed or die, God will surely provide for them a good provision." 2258

"They do not taste death, beyond the first death, and God spares them the retribution of Hell." 4456

            Peace

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

              Peace,

I guess trying to better yourself and repairing faults if possible would be better. I can acknowledge faults before God everyday and commit the same again the next ...

                Peace,
                Respectfully.

                I agree.
We must strive and struggle to make sure that we take as much good as humanly possible, God willing.
May The Exalted God The Most Merciful helps us all.

                Peace.

                  Peace progressive1993,
Seeing and experiencing are two different things. What will you gain by seeing and what about 1972 - Then we rescue the righteous, and leave the transgressors in it, humiliated.

I understand that the heavier package determines where you go, but are you punished for the rotten fruit?
I always ask for forgiveness but sometimes I do something wrong and completely forget about it. Nothing scandalous, but I might lie or argue with my parents or feel too tired to wake up at dawn to pray. I felt guilty about stealing a crisp from my sister when she left a bagful on the dressing table!
When I pray I say 'sorry about this ', 'sorry about that' and also 'sorry about everything' because i know that there may be a few things I have forgotten about. Would that be OK? Am I forgiven?

                    God bless

I agree that this is not how repentence actually works .

"Yet your Lord, to those who repent and reform after commiting evil out of ignorance, your Lord after that is forgiving, Compassionate."

                            Peace to all,

Good deed alone will not get you to heaven. One needs to believe (worship the God alone) and do good deeds to enter heaven.

109 - As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, their Lord guides them, by virtue of their belief. Rivers will flow beneath them in the gardens of bliss.

2112 - Indeed, those who submit themselves absolutely to GOD alone, while leading a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord; they have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

I am asking those who have studied the whole Quran.
If its not in the Quran then God hasn't told us.
I'm not going to read some garbage just to give me a false answer. It won't be satisfactory.

                                        Peace,
No where in Quran that God say what you mentioned, but He says it is a Lie, according to 3-24 and the following

280 And they said ?The Fire will not touch us except for a few number of days.? Say ?Have you taken a pledge with God? If so, then God will not break His pledge. Or do you say about God what you do not know??
281 NO, whoever gains a sin, and is surrounded by his mistakes; those are the people of the Fire, in it they abide eternally.
282 And those who believe and do good work, they are the people of Paradise, in it they abide eternally.

God mentioned that all of us will see Hillfire, but He never Said that we will feel its punishment.

3960 And on the Day of Resurrection you will see those who lied about God their faces will be blackened. Is there not an abode in Hell for the arrogant ones?
3961 And God will save those who were righteous as their reward. No harm will touch them, nor will they grieve.

                                          Peace,
No where in Quran that God say what you mentioned, but He says it is a Lie, according to 3-24 and the following
