Most probably not. As there is only one Earth formed of seven layers and covered by seven layers of Heaven lit by the Sun and the Moon, occupied by numerous stars for navigation and decorated with planets. So Earth is not a planet. Thats ofcourse Quranically speaking.

Yes. There is no such thing as the universe in the Quran. It is just the heavens above and the Earth below. D

Of course there is a universe. God created it. I suggest you book a Virgin Airlines flight to the universe to see it for yourself. It's only $ 10,000.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

                Peace all,

I am a firm believer in extra-terrestrial lifeforms outside of our solar system. If one looks at the almost incomprehensibly immense dimensions of this universe, the countless galaxies with literally billions upon billions of stars like our own (sun), it is almost certain by simple laws of probability that such life forms such as, or similar to our own exist. The problem with detection of such civilizations lies within the unimaginably vast distances between them.

At our present technology level, we cannot even leave our own solar system, let alone galaxy in a lifetime. To contact, or even detect such civilizations would take technology hundreds, if not thousands of years beyond our current level. The problem with this is that on a universal time scale, man-like civilizations are only around for the galactic equivalent of a blink of an eye. That is, any civilization like our own would simply not have enough time to develop such technologies before they cease to exist.

Now, if mankind were a truly benevolent race, we most likely would be around for such developments, however and quite unfortunately, mankind is predisposed to wars and violence i.e. a quasi-benevolent race. The energy and resources we use to develop 'defense' technology, as well as the resources used for excessive self-gain, rather than the greater good, handicap us as a civilization and thus, prevent us from utilizing these resources for furtherment of the human race as a whole.

I sincerely believe that there are other races of human-like beings out there that have managed to grasp this, or perhaps they were simply born a more benevolent race and subsequently, have used the resources for the betterment of all. This would substantially accelerate the pace at which technology is developed, and also provide a means of protection from global extinction (such as a meteor, or other event). I do believe that such races come here to study, or simply just observe us, but are smart enough not to be detected. If you were a truly benevolent race, would you like that warring humans should some in contact with you, or God forbid, acquire some of your technology?

The mere fact that humans, as a whole are predisposed to violence in some form or another would preclude any truly benevolent race from making contact with us.

We still have a long way to go, but God-willing, someday we may get there.

If God is the creator of the universe then I am certain that there is, out of all the billions of billions of stars in the universe it would be arrogant in the extreme to believe that we are the only planet with life. It says clearly in the Bible that God made the universe and all that live in it, why would he only put life here??

All we want to prove is that the Earth is not moving in space. After they have rejected ether, because it proves Earth's fixation in space, it is been very difficult to prove this motionless nature of our planet.

                                Peace all,

The Sun and Moon are moving around the Earth...

132 Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.

1433 And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you.

1817 Thou wouldst have seen the sun, when it rose, declining to the right from their Cave, and when it set, turning away from them to the left, while they lay in the open space in the midst of the Cave. Such are among the Signs of Allah He whom Allah, guides is rightly guided; but he whom Allah leaves to stray,- for him wilt thou find no protector to lead him to the Right Way.

3129 Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon, each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do?

555 The sun and the moon follow courses computed

2133 It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

3638 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.

2258 Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said "I give life and death". Said Abraham "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust.

Where do you find a verse saying that the Earth is running a course? Do you really think that the Earth is moving twice the speed of a bullet without any ill effect in the atmosphere??

                                Peace,

This is the classical model. But what is gravity? From where does the Earth get all this energy to keep the moon in orbit?

See you take gravity as an abstract force to fill up the equations.
