    Peace Bigmo,

One can conclude from your post that you are not following the Quran the way it should be followed. Please read and heed. Thanks.

2136 - Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs; and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and all the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."

2285 - The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in GOD, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers "We make no distinction among any of His messengers." They say, "We hear, and we obey. Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny."

384 - Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."

    4150 - Those who disbelieve in GOD and His messengers, and seek to make distinction among GOD and His messengers, and say, "We believe in some and reject some," and wish to follow a path in between;

4152 - As for those who believe in GOD and His messengers, and make no distinction among them, He will grant them their recompense. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

    I was talking about this

2.253. Those apostles We endowed with gifts, some above others To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honour); to Jesus the son of Mary We gave clear (Signs), and strengthened him with the holy spirit. If Allah had so willed, succeeding generations would not have fought among each other, after clear (Signs) had come to them, but they (chose) to wrangle, some believing and others rejecting. If Allah had so willed, they would not have fought each other; but Allah Fulfilleth His plan

17.55. And it is your Lord that knoweth best all beings that are in the heavens and on earth We did bestow on some prophets more (and other) gifts than on others and We gave to David (the gift of) the Psalms

I guess some could say these are wordly gifts that God bestows and has no reflection on the prophet's themselves since this is not made by judgement. However I was wondering from the Koran who seems to be the most dedicated and who is the most loved by God. There is not enough info but I was talking from a Koranic point of view.

This does not change the fact that we should not make any distinction among the messengers. Maybe God gave more gifts and duties to some messengers or prophets, but that is God's business. We, as people and followers of God's words in the Quran should not make any distinction between the messengers.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

Is not distinction based on faith and doctrine is what the Koran is talking about? Like elevating prophet and his biography over others and creating a doctrine from that(crucifixion as a theology, shahada of Muhammad as an article of faith for everyone). However I was talking about God and not us.

Let me put it this way. If you had to be one of them, who would it be. Or, who is the prophet of the Koran you are inspired about the most. Maybe this is a better phrasing.

          Dear Brother
Distinction ,does not mean in terms of status ,but in terms of believeing. We cannot believe some and reject others. As far as status is concerned Allah HImself has given that distinction.

          Regards

I think it is VAIN TALKs and does not deserve US to ponder and waste our time on it... For us, they are all equally equal... Thats all!

They all had their UPs and DOWNs through their mission to mankind and we should respect ALL of them for they did deliver the message and concluded their mission successfully. It is not for us to decide who was the best and most skilfully among them... As it is stated in the Quran, this is not our duty.

            May God guide us all.

I see what you mean, but this leads to/is glorification of them and making distinction among them.
Each of them contributed to Islam/Submission.

4152 Those who acknowledge God and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them, We will give them their rewards. God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

                Yaeah... thats true

However, why we should try to GUESS who is the one who is a Level 10 and who is at Level 1?? If Allah himself chose to keep that a secret.

If its written clearly in the Quran who is the best, then that would not be a problem... I think we should abstain from such thing...

                  peace all,

My understanding is that when it says God gave some over others, or did XYZ to ABC, it is within God's frame of reference. When it is our frame of reference, we are told not to make distinctions among them etc. I guess AQ is stating the obvious, i.e. each of their lives were different, different challenges, problems, environments etc hence differences amongst them, but ALL had a connecting aim/goal/mission - and this is what we can all agree and unite on, hence, in the big picture, there is no distinction.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

One may like one prophet more than another or feel affinity with any of them, but objectively they are one. The risala is one. if we honour a prophet we honour all prophets, and if we do not honour one prophet, we do not honour any. I do not know any prophets; they are all gone and only know what came to me is Qur?an.

Therefore, there is no way to distinguish between any of them, peace be upon all of them.

                                    Peace,

How would Allah be fair if Allah prefers one person over another without that one doing an extra job? If the two men were not doing the same, exact effort, then what Allah would do would not be called favoring. Allah would be rewarding each of them as much as each of them deserves. Favoring CANNOT exist in the calculations of Allah. Every person gets what he/she deserves, in reward or in punishment.
Those who think that Allah plays favorites, need to seriously reevaluate their whole understanding of Allah, Islam and deen ASAP.

                                    peace

How would Allah be fair if Allah prefers one person over another without that one doing an extra job? If the two men were not doing the same, exact effort, then what Allah would do would not be called favoring. Allah would be rewarding each of them as much as each of them deserves. Favoring CANNOT exist in the calculations of Allah. Every person gets what he/she deserves, in reward or in punishment.

The above CANNOT is your criterion of what is fairness.

                                      God makes/does what He wills

                                          Peace sister
We believe in all prophets and respect all prophets. But there is only Prophet who has been sent to All mankind till Day of judgement not others.

There is only one prophet whom God has spoken to directly...
There is only one prophet whom God had strenghen with the Rooh Al Quds and who could cure the blind and turn a clay bird alive

                                          ....

The list can go on like this... but its futile
