I'll rephrase the stories of the messengers (fee qisashim) are ibratun li ulil albab.

If you have the courage translate the whole Verse .
Also provide reference for the second post please.

I have heard that quran cannot be translated but now it reveals that it can be if someone's got courage. All praise to God.

Courage? Wow, sounds provocative there. I find it strange that I have to translate the whole ayah when you quoted clearly with ?ibratun li ulil albab? in it. However, I?m curious to see what your response is so I?ll bite

Laqad Kna F Qaaihim Verily in their stories
Ibratun Li'wl Al-'Albbi Lessons for the people of the core
M Kna adthan Yuftar? It is not a made up event
Wa Lakin Tadqa Al-Ladh Bayna Yadayhi but on the contrary it is a confirmation of that between its two hands
Wa Tafla Kulli Shay'in And a detailing of all things
Wa Hud?an Wa Ramatan Liqawmin Yu'uminna And a guidance and a mercy for the people who believe.

As for Naba and Hadith, we must analyse the ayaat which use them and see how they used in those ayaat

        1. Naba
        • has ?naba al-ghaib? ? 12/102
        • needs verification ? 49/6
        1. Hadith
        • something which ?asaba? (inflicts) on us ? 4/79
        • is not mentioned with al-ghaib
        • ?muhdith? means ?new?, thus showing its not ?qadim? or old.

          Peace ;

          Now you say;

Laqad Kna F Qaaihim Verily in their stories
Ibratun Li'wl Al-'Albbi Lessons for the people of the core

Now compare this statement (verse sense) with your this statement.

12/111 the messengers are called 'ibratun li ulil albaab', lessons for the people of the core.

          You also said

          1. Naba
          • has ?naba al-ghaib? ? 12/102
          • needs verification ? 49/6

Suppose Quran does not use this for any news of the Future ,how does it imply that this word does not carry this meaning? Strange logic ? Are you a mind - free person ?

What is this event being discussed about ?

So THAT?S what the courage thing was all about? Kindly consult reply #19 above. I already corrected myself. I will say it again in case you want to play ?dares? again The stories of the messengers are lessons for the people of the core.

Suppose Quran does not use this for any news of the Future ,how does it imply that this word does not carry this meaning? Strange logic ? Are you a mind - free person ?

How the word is used in classical Arabic isn?t my concern here. I take the various possiblities of meaning, try it in every single occurrence and from there, I deduce my meaning. If the Quran DOESN?T use a word in a particular way, that?s significant to me too. Like it never uses ?salat? to mean ?prayers?. That?s a VERY big deal.

Of course, there are people who, DESPITE glaring omissions in how Quran uses particular words, still INSIST words mean what they do not. They accept ?grammar rules? which have zero evidence in Q just because their priests say so. To me, they seem more likely to be ?mind-free?.

What is this event being discussed about ?

It seems to be talking about yaum al-fasl/day of sorting. See 78/17.

Prove it / and define it precisely.

I hope you will not run away as before

I'd say they are are all 'real'. Might depend on your definition of real, of course.

                Re Jesus

There's no evidence for his existence. Now, does this imply he didn't exist? I don't think so.
Just keep in mind 1736. It's something we could never verify. Who knows who wrote those revelations 2,000 years ago.

The quran is about our stories, not their stories. The quran contains our zikr

2110 We have sent down to you a Book in which is your zikr/remembrance/mentioning (zikri-kum). Do you not understand?

real? umm... that it was an actual human being (like you or me)...

as symbols i see it differently, as he could be like in dreams, whoever you see in dreams they are not the real people you may know in your "real" life (this life i mean), like you can see your mom, brother, father, but it's not really them, they only represent something...

to me, literal story doesn't say as much as a metaphorical one. from literal one i can see that it talks about some events from the past about some people... but this is not a history book...
as a metaphorical approach, it can be applied always, today, in my life, and it seems more relevant... +more wise...
+maybe it's just me but i see the creator more powerful if He'd explain it inteligently with symbols and metaphors, rather then simple literal meanings...
even though there are some parts literal, those that need to be, but nevertheless, metaphorical approach is also in there, so i wanted to know about that one, but ok
