    541

541 The Hour draws near, and the moon is split.
542 And if they see a sign, they turn away and say Ongoing magic!

as Nasa is bombing the Moon this Friday afternoon... Allah knows, we will see...

I elieve this verse is the past , the Moon did split, but not break in 2 , but it split from the earth.

As you might know the traditionalists translate this verse as the splitting of the moon miracle, in which the moon physically split in two, the mushrikoon saw it but most of them remained in kufr anyway.
As you don't accept hadith you won't regard this as an actual miracle, and would rather interpret it in a freely way. (Considering the plethora of "interpretations/guesses" people make here. )
So far for being the Qur'an a "clear" book. hmm

        Salam and Peace!

Allah declares in His Safe, Holy and Exalted Quran that there is no miracle of the last Prophet (SAW).

Only Allah alone gives us The True Infromation.

I believe I was wrong brother, this surah is about to happen
THe verdict is approaching and the moon get Shocked

, The moon is about to receive a shock these few years coming,
          = inshaka = shocked

          it doesn't mean split,
in the arabic language, it means split, but in the arab tongue, it mean shocked.

Dear All, here is what G A Perwaiz in his Exposition of the Qur'an says about 541

Posted without comments for further discussion from

            http//www.tolueislam.com/Parwez/expo/exposition.htm

            SURAH 54 Al-Qamar

            1. The Hour of Revolution (about which they have been warned for a long time) is just around. The power and might of these opposing Arabs will come to an end and their flag (carrying the insignia of the moon) will be torn to pieces.

            2. Many of the signs of the coming revolution have appeared before them, but because of their rebellious attitude they do not seriously ponder over them. Instead they turn away saying, ?These are the same old fables that we had been hearing for a longtime.? (4611)
