This is the topic guys... "how to be a lover of Allah"
('but that's a new subject!'
All the same.
So here we go, i will share my notes in case someone wants to elaborate on the new subject "how to be a lover of Allah". And this is only work-in-progress so you will find many white spaces and in-continuities here and there.
22 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for Almuttaqiyn
23 Who believe in the unseen, establish AlSalaAt, and spend out of what We have provided for them,
24 And who believe in what has been revealed to you, and what was revealed before you,
and of the Hereafter they are certain
25 Those are upon guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are AlmufliHuwn (the successful).2177

2112 Yes, whoever submits his face in Islam to Allah while being a muHsin (doer of good)
will have his reward with his Lord.
And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.313 As guidance and mercy for AlmuHsiniyn,
314 Who establish AlSalaAt and fulfill Alzakat, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain.
315 Those are on guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are AlmufliHuwn (the successful).(there are many more occurrences of muHsiyn/AlmuHsiniyn/iHsan still)

314 Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire -
of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver,
fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land.
That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
315 Say, "Shall I inform you of what better than that?
For those who fear Allah
will be gardens by the side of their Lord
beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally,
and purified spouses
and riDwaAn from Allah . And Allah is Seeing with servants
316 Those who say, "Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins
and protect us from the punishment of the Fire,"317 AlSaAbiriyn w AlSaAdiqiyn w AlqaAnitiyn w Almunfiqiyn w AlmustaGfiriyna bi AlAsHaAr
(the people who ask for forgiveness before dawn)3146 And how many a prophet with him fought many religious scholars.
But they never lost assurance due to what afflicted them in the cause of Allah,
nor did they weaken or submit. And Allah loves AlSaAbiriyn.2235 (Almubitiyn) Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and AlSaAbiriyn
over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of AlSalaAt and those who spend
from what We have provided them.4731 And We will surely test you until We make evident AlmujaAhidiyn from you and AlSaAbiriyn,
and We will test your affairs.3159 ... And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves Almutawakkiliyn
1412 And why should we not rely upon Allah while He has guided us to our ways.
And we will surely be patient against whatever harm you should cause us.
And upon Allah then rely Almutawakkiluwn."3938 And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?"
they would surely say, " Allah ."
Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allah ?
If Allah intended me harm, are they removers of His harm;
or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?"
Say, "Sufficient for me is Allah ; upon Him rely Almutawakkiluwn."542 ... inna Allah yuHibbu AlmuqsiTiyn.
499 ... inna Allah yuHibbu AlmuqsiTiyn.
608 ... inna Allah yuHibbu AlmuqsiTiyn.
2190 Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress.
Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors.
2191 And fight them wherever you overtake them
and expel them from wherever they have expelled you,
and fitnah is worse than Alqatl.
And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there.
But if they fight you, then fight them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.2217
474 So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter.
And he who fights in the cause of Allah and is killed or achieves victory -
We will bestow upon him a great reward.476 Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah,
and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of AlTaGuwt.
So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.490 Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves
and whom is a treaty or those who come to you,
their hearts strained at fighting you or fighting their own people.
And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you.
So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace,
then Allah has not made for you a cause against them.936

614 Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a structure joined firmly
In case you forgot why we would want to be Almuttaqiyn, AlmuHsiniyn ... this should remind us
2511 But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.
2512 When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.
2513 And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.
2514 "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
2515 Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous (Almuttaquwn)? It will be for them a reward and destination.
2516 For them therein is whatever they wish, abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise requested.3657 For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they wish
3934 They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of AlmuHsiniyn
5035 They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.
5222 And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.
5621 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.
7742 And fruits from whatever they desire,
7743 "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
7744 Indeed, We thus reward AlmuHsiniynHmm ... "whatever they desire" ... Does that spark something in you?

Allah is closer to us than our own breath. Allah is our creator and our sustainer, alhamdulillah! Allah's mercy, compassion, and love are right in front of us on the straight path. We need only to pray that Allah bestows His grace upon us and that Allah will show us and keep us upon the straight path. This is a daily quest. Sometimes we become distracted from Allah with the toils of the day...idols such as success, financial gain, and other temporal things. This is why we pray al-Salat, to bring us back to remember that Allah is the center of our lives. The only reason that I breathe is because of Allah's love. Subhan'Allah!
