Please let us share our thoughts of how to protect God's Messages from These Radicals who are insisting to destroy the true Message of Quran... I have been sick to my stomach since I saw them in CNN last night.
It's disappointed me. This is why i say reason, heart and logic should have more priority over the understanding/interpretation of the scripture.
The guy believed you should terrorize disbeleivers and that was his quranic understanding. (

We should be thinking about how to confront the Islamic Radicals' Ideology and NOT thinking about Who are these Radicals...We have enough knowledge to expose this Ideology using the Quran, and this is our Strength that we should be focusing on and utilizing...We should be focusing on establishing a PLAN that would accomplish our main objective How can we educate the Public about
a)The Evil Nature of the Radicals' Ideology
b)The True Message of Quran, which is different from what the Radicals are promoting.
As I said, We have the Knowledge; however, we do not have an effective Marketing Plan that can be used to deliver our knowledge to the International Community...and in order to be as effective as the Radicals' Marketing Plan, we need the Media Tools...How can we be, for example, in CNN? How can we be in Washington Post?I hope you understand what I'm trying to convey.

I usually open specific subjects that are marked as controversial in the society.
It gets going.
Especially in London. London is, best to my knowledge, open minded city with people who are open minded, Thank God.

Just to note, that big guy quoting the Quran saying Quran commands us to terrorise the enemies (referring to 8/60) quoted the word right (turhiboona) but the context absolutely wrong. 8/60 is directed to believers (people would accept all commands to believers from Quran, which includes 2/190). Believers in Quran, if pushed to a situation of war, cant carry out the war like cowards on people they made pledges with (pledges like vowing to serve in the army, for example). Another thing to mention is the phrase after 'turhiboona' which 'enemies of Allah'. Who are enemies of Allah? Every 'non-Muslim' or simply ppl who cause mischief on earth (like his heroes).
These people are like typical traditionists, they only read half of quran (to justify their evil). Thanks for the heads up, belal.

Am i the only one who does not interpret the word
in 95 as "kill" or "slay"?(yes, even in the context of war!)
This is something i written before
Now that i learn the Quran myself and try to find the true literal meaning of the words used, i came to the conclusion that "believers" are never ordered to kill.
In any situation, even in the times of war, they are commanded to preserve life--anyone's life--the best way they can, with explicit expressions of God's forgiveness and mercy (for example 95). On that verse, i don't believe that the word "kill" is an accurate translation. Unfortunately, the common translations are "kill" or "slay". After comparing the word q-T-l to the roots q-T and q-t, i concluded (my opinion) that the meaning of the word is closer to "tear ~ apart" or "break ~ down" (the large group into smaller groups or individuals), which is more in harmony with the rest of the verse.
I do not say that "casualties" are avoidable.
Insisting "not to kill" also implies that the believers must be much much stronger than the enemy. Or much much cleverer.
What d'you say? Naive me? Or do you see the logic behind "tearing/breaking the enemies apart/down into smaller groups"?

so are you saying that these radicals are free to misinterpret the Quean in order to use as a "license to Kill"?
My say is YES anyone is free to interpret anything, including the Quran.
But of course... every action has its own 'consequences'..The timing of the appearance of these radicals has one objective to invoke hate toward Quran and moslem.
This can only be the agenda of Saten.Satan "Yea right.. blame me.. look.... I have nothing to do with those 'hating business' anymore... I have retired long time ago...
