    Peace Rev.John

Bringing people together is a good thing. But preach what you believe to be the truth not what people will want to hear.

when I go to my Christan Families house for Christmas or Easter, I Eat and give them Company, But Obviously I don't engage in any of the activities.
Like the Tree, lights, Celebration of Jesus's supposed birthday or Santa clase stuff. I guess, Its cool because I respect their beliefs and they respect mine.
I think if you can be Tolerant, wile still standing firm in your beliefs...The world would be a better place! ;D

Here is a sloppy thing I made a long time ago about Christmas...lol

      Santa Clause created reality
Now, there is a lot of History on Christmas with the Winter Solace, the Christmas Tree and pagan customs, Jesus birth, etc ,etc ,etc.... But Santa Clause is going to be my Main point here. There is alot of information on Santa Clause you can watch the video at the end or look his origins up...but i only want to dissect the False reality aspect of him.

Okay, Assuming that you already know the True history on Santa Clause, Kris Kringle, etc and the pagan customs lets just go to the children.
      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/San-1.jpg

Picture your self as a Child. Children are very unbiased growing human beings who's minds are not yet fully developed. They take and process information according to what parents say and what is in their reality to "Their" perception and experience....Not much different from Adults.
So as an innocent growing child....you are almost forced to believe in this Magical Man named Santa Clause.
As a child you are caught between two battles... one small group is saying the "Truth" which is There is No Santa Clause and Every adult every teacher and corporation every person knows this ...but the majority keep it a hidden secret. and the other side which is the majority of the people saying Santa clause is real which is a false statement.
Unfortunately the Majority group has Movies, cartoons, Corporations, parents teachers, books, internet, etc, etc, so they will eventually win over the child.
      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/Santa_Clause_2.jpg

Think about it. Everywhere you look there he is.
      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/Front-72.jpg

There's almost no choice but to believe. As a child all of your intellect is saying there he is. all of your surroundings point that there he is.
And then you may still be skeptical. so what does your parents to to help?
They provide you with a Test. a test of faith. to put out Milk and Cookies.... if he eats them then you know KNOW he exists!
      http//i50.photobucket.com/albums/f324/aussie_kel/milk_and_cookies.jpg

So what does your parents do to manipulate your mind and reality? they Eat the cookies and drink half the millk so in the morning ....You think he really ate them! eat hmm o

Oh....but it gets better!!! even after they keep pressuring you to believe and manipulate your surroundings.. then they use the next sinister trick of tradition.

"Seeing is Believing" just in case you are still a disbeliever.
They take you to actually SEE Santa and his Elves at the Mall! o o
      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/DSC01247.jpg

By now as a child you have seen soooo much Santa Shoved down your throat that you of course believe...even though everyone else around you KNOWs its a lie but they continue to manipulate your reality so they you yourself is fooled.
Then IF YOU DO FIND OUT THE TRUTH that santa is a lie...they use their last excuse.....which is "Oh hes not the Real Santa..But he does work for him...hes an associate".
Only to later on let the REAL truth come out and let him know when hes older that santa clause is just a hoax. and then what do you do...???? pass it on to your kids and your kids kids.... why? why would you lie?

when all along you Knew the truth. you just hid it from him.
and thats the false reality. the child is living is a reality that has been manufactured and manipulated by corporations, media music etc, and by home surroundings..parents ...teachers...friends..etc. all playing a part together as one to conceal this simple yet messed up truth for what? what benefit do they get out of this? with a child emotion and hopes.

      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/santaa.jpg

The Worse part is that since the Parents Deceptively used intelligence in their malicious plot...The Children will ACTUALLY BEAR WITNESS that santa claus is real... How can you deny someone that you SEE and HEAR and TOUCH? .........well....hes an impostor...like a dajjal

The "American" ideology is always "Seeing is believing" o
So usually they use this to manipulate things...like belief in Santa....but then they Deny God because they say you cant SEE or HEAR God...distorted logic.

and dont even dare tell the kids the truth or you'll be labeled the "a-hole"...or a Scrooge! brickwall brickwall

What people Need to Realize is that this really is a Malicious Plot that is detrimental to a child.
The Child WILL in front of Everyone...Say....

"I bear witness, that there is a Santa Clause, and He is the one that I request from, and Him do I do Righteousness for!"

when you ask the Child Why do they believe? They will tell you....

1)"Santa Clasue is "All-Knowing"....He knows if you are naughty or Nice...."
      2) Santa Clause is "Omnipresent".....He Can be anywhere at anytime... and can travels at super speed
      3) Santa Clause has "Books" written about him....(Scripture)
      4) Santa Clause Ate my Cookies and Milk, AND I SAW Him in Person at the Local Mall/Store
      5) My Parents and Community are "Believers" "Mu'mins" and they tell me to believe in him so I can get "Rewards" or else I will get a "bad recompense" *coal

If you realize what you just Did as a Parent, You have Sucsessfully, Risen Santa Clause "a pagan idol" to godly status.
You have influenced your Child to belive and "Submit" to Santa 100%, Only to Later Crush him and tell him the Truth....That Santa Never existed.

Is it of ANY COINCIDENCE, then That.... The Countries who practice this Unnecessary scheme...are Rising in Atheism?
Dont you see that Now, when you talk to One these these Kids about God...They will say the same Things?

"God?!? Yeah ooookay, Just like Santa clause...."Stories of the Ancients"....Just another Imaginary story... "You lied to me about santa, your lying to me about your Supposed GOD!""

      Why? even participate in this?

Oh and how about the Tree!..
      http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/tree-3.jpg
Hear you the word which the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel
Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
      Jeremiah 101-6

Hummmm....I wonder what That Could be?.. hmm hmm hmm hmm

nope But of course its DEFIANTLY NOT talking about a Christmas tree! nope

Ya Allah, Astaghfirullah, Allah Akbar pr
      Salam/Shalom/Peace

I'll say Hey Peace be to you...but I dont want to be all like Hey Merry Christmas, let me help you set up that Christmas tree!"

I don't have a problem sending a greeting for people who celebrate Christmas for its true purpose celebrating the birth of Jesus/Prophet Isa. I mean, most Muslims all over the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad and in the country where I come from, the birth of Prophet Muhammad celebration can turn into a shirk event the regional government will hold an event where a MOUNTAIN of food containing meat, veggies and fruits is presented and the people will literally FIGHT to get their hands on even a tiny portion of the food because they believe it has been blessed and they'll get good luck from eating that tiny portion -__-;;;.

And I do agree that Christmas has been transformed into something that encourages consumerism. But that applies to any religious events. Let's face it, in Eid Festival, people spend SO much money on new clothes, huge feasts etc etc. Do they really remember about the Qur'an being revealed in Ramadan? No, they care more about having their sins forgiven. They fast, they give charity and they salaat taraawih because they believe their good deeds will be rewarded many times over. And after Ramadan is over, then comes the festival of gluttony.

Enough rant, but yeah... I guess I'll just say "May you have a peaceful Christmas break" so I sound more neutral. I will still give gifts to some people, like my boss to show my respects (cause he was soooo nice during Ramadan when I fasted).

Christmas did start off as a pagan holiday and the idea of some being visiting the children goes back many years before the birth of Jesus. Once Christianity established itself, it had to take on many pagan holidays (and some beliefs) to incorporate the pagans into Christianity. Yeshua Bar Yoseph (Jesus) was not born on December 25th, more like April or September, but the early Christian church (not knowing when he was born) decided to celebrate his birth on a day that was already a holiday. The invention of Santa Claus, St Nicholas, Father Christmas, has been taken over for commercial reasons.

                bravo bravo bravo Yes. exactly.

Im not going to criticize Traditionalist Muslims, without criticizing New Age Christians.
I guess thats just me personally.

I dont care if it is Jesus's Real OR supposed birthday, nor do I care it it is Prophet Muhammad's real or supposed Birthday.
If they were here, Then Id say... "Happy birthday Muhammad and Jesus"...but they are not..so..
                  ...eh.... nope

I agree with you BornAgain. I live in a small community and work in one that's not much bigger. When people put candy and other food out during my fast, my boss removes it, and tells people not to put food out during that time. I tell her it's no problem for me, but I also feel thankful I have so much respect in such a small community with no other muslims nearby. I also give my boss a gift at christmas time and don't feel the slightest bit weird about it.

Christmas time is the most giving time of the year... and I'm not talking about buying gifts. I'm talking about the high rate of charity given to so many needy people, whether they are poor, sick, dying, or otherwise. People are the kindest at christmas time. Ok, they should be kind all year, but it's the same as the muslims I know that give up alcohol, gambling, etc. during ramandan, but crack open a beer or head to the race track the first day of eid.

As far as christmas goes, my 8 year old daughter knows well what christians believe and what muslims believe. She also knows that many people won't even mention the name of jesus at christmas time and just celebrate because of tradition. She loves the pretty lights outside when we drive the neighborhood at night. She knows santa's not real (I told her a long time ago when she first heard about him), so she just thinks of santa the same way she thinks of goldilocks or cinderella... just a story that is being told for hundreds of years. She does think it's kind of weird that parents tell kids santa is real, but she understands the world is made up of many traditions so it's just not a big deal.

I have no problem wishing "happy whatever" to anyone. We can pick apart the pagan holidays all day long, but the bottom line is what's in the person's heart. Are they thinking about the pagan way, or are they just enjoying with friends and family with an innocent heart? Valentine's day and halloween are also considered pagan, but what's the harm in appreciating a loved one or dressing up like luke skywalker?

This is the basis of my sermon this Sunday, I just want to know if it will offend anyone. All comments will be welcome.

Whatever happened to trust, to love, to caring for each other, to a handshake sealing a deal, to the idea that life is sacred, to brotherly love, to the idea of live and let live? Why do we all blame each other? It is nobody's fault except our own. WE have allowed it all to happen by not caring about each other but just caring about ourselves - we are all as guilty as each other. When are we humans going to realise that we are all connected to each other, Muslim, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, etc, American, English, Iraqi, Iranian, and yes even the French etc. We are all the same, all part of this wonderful creation by God. Why do we not open our eyes to God?s love?

God?s love is the foundation of our fondest dreams, a fortune that can never be spent, a seed that can flourish in even the most unlikely places and this radiance that never fades, this mysterious and magical joy, is the greatest treasure of all, one known only by those who accept God?s love.

So let?s pass on that love ? next time you see a Jewish person, say ?Happy Hanukah? (12th Dec) or ?Happy Muharram? (18th Dec) to a Muslim or to a Christian ?Merry Christmas? (25th Dec). It won?t hurt you!

                                  Peace,

but it has to be a sincere, does it not?
I mean, sure, i can wish anything to anyone but at the end of the day, it comes down to honesty, right?

                                  Peace.

But what is insincere about it? If I say to a Jew "Happy Hanukah", I mean that I hope they have a happy time during their celebration of Hanukah. As a God-alone Christian, I do not celebrate Jesus, but I will always say "Merry Christmas" to a traditional Christian because I truly do wish them a great time.

I''ll post my little analasys/report on christmas after work inshallah.

Personnally, I think christmas is a Pagan Holiday used by Capitalists Corportations to encourage Consumerism.
It make it acceptiable to the christian world, They Implamented Jesus Christ in the story. That way it seems "okay".

Well.. it's very much quite similar to 'encircling the black stone' rites which is a Pagan custom used by the Arabs to encourage Tourism to Makkah.
Thus they make it 'mandatory' to the Muslim world, they implanted Muhammad, Angels, Abraham, Ishmail and many other myths into the story.
That way they make it "Mandatory" for every one claimed to be Muslim to do such rites.

Anyway I Wish A Happy and Peaceful Holiday To You All.. on whatever day you considered as holy..

                                      Salam / Peace

I agree. People say "hello" every day and I wouldn't say they're being sincere or insincere... one way or the other.
It's just an act of kindness and good manners.

The best one I had was today, when a work colleague who knows I'm muslim wished me a merry christmas....... and she's an atheist.

                                          ;D

I think communication of the sentiment is the main thing people wish to express.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
