And those who do not celebrate it, but enjoy when others are happy!

            bravo Thank you. group

As a God-alone Christian I firmly believe that the "Good will toward man" and "Peace on Earth" that is always said at Christmas should be practiced every day of every year of everyones life.

                  I have a question though....

Should we say Merry Christmas to CHristians?
I mean, Sometimes I do because I get "Merry CHristmas" said to me all the time..
and I feel Rude if I dont reaply, so Im just like thanks uh...you too i guess.

As a Muslim are we to say this?

Keeping in Mind It Specifically Says in the Quran, That Jesus Is NOT Allah's Son, and to stay away and do not condone pagan rituals.

So...After is repeatedly said do not associate those thins with Allah, Would you consider saying Merry Christmas being apart of this? or condoning this?

Its kinda like when the pagan polytheists where I live have their sacrificial chicken blood day...
...Should I tell them "Hey Bro! Happy sacrifice day!"

                  *what do you all think?

And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with one better than it or return it . Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things, an Accountant (486)

Can we consider 'merry Christmas' as 'greeting' in the perspective of the Koran?

                      Peace.

Well A greeting Of the Quran you are Quoting, Im sure is a Muslim Greeting

I mean, If a satanic person greets me with a satanic greeting....should i greet him with a "Better" ?

I am not trying to be all negitive...but seriously...

Itsnt saying merry christmas just like saying

"Hey Happy Pagan Winter Solace- Odin flying with snakes, Egyptology, Roman mythology Jesus Son of God Day"?

I mean, From the Quran's words it seems it does not Please Allah to say "Trinity" or "Son of God" and It says Jesus will actually Go against those who attribe him to God.

So we as Muslims....Do By us saying Merry Christmas...Are we Making Allah and Jesus (Isa bin Mary) Angry?

If we want to get technical, Okay Give the person who says "Merry Christmas to you" a Better Greeting...
(Peace be to you and come to the Submission of God Almighty)

Would we agree thats a better Greeting..?

oh No! it is really rude and un-calld for. so lets just say Merry Christmas back to make it better. -\

Good point. Should we consider 'the bad words' as 'greeting'?

If saying 'Merry Christmas' not a good thing, then we would have the responsibility to advice them not to do it, right?

I would. Why not? That shows we asking them to worship God alone.

                            Peace.

I don't see Christmas as having to do with Isa of the Quran (and I believe most Christians reciprocate this). It's a merry time for them, and whether it is the birthday of the Son or the Sun does not concern me.

Then Happy Halloween to all the Wiccian and Pagans too because Halloween is a cool time of Joy, Candy, and Fun.

(I too dont care if it is based off of many sacrificial rituals, or pagan influences, whether its is really "the day of the devil" of just "Dress up day with candy"
doesn't concern me either....its a win win for everyone) ;D

The religious significance of "Merry Christmas" is far less than is usually imagined; I am sure you have heard the often repeated Christmas message -- let's put Christ back into Christmas.

And just as an aside, Christmas would literally mean dismissal of Christ. Merry Christ's dismissal doesn't sound quite so good, anyone?

Lol you guys tend to over think stuff -

I love Christmas, people are nicer, lights everywhere, awesome TV shows/movies and well, Christmas just feels good.
Besides in the west Christmas will be celebrated unconditionally, so might as well go with the flow sun

Jesus is being celebrated here, right? We Muslims love Jesus too, right?

So sit back, take it easy and Merry Christmas everyone.

Even though the roots may be pagan, some celebrate it for Jesus and some celebrate it as a time for giving. I don't celebrate it myself but I like Christmasy things too like all the pretty lights and jolly people D
