    Welcome George
Interesting that the "Hadith follower" automatically thought you were wrong because you were a Muslim for a shorter duration than him.

    That was well argued.

      Thanks aalmakto

The most interesting thing about that comment the hadith follower made is that depite being a muslim longer than I have, I have MORE faith in the Quran (the true authentic hadith) than he does LOL.

Note that I did not mention in my response anything about praying five times a day becuase that comes from the stupid hadith where prophet moses is supposedly trying to talk GOD into dropping the number of daily prayers down from 50 prayers a day (or whatever number it was ) down to 5 a day and yet the ingenious word of GOD the Quran only mentions three by name and not the other two.

        Peace

        Selam

Interesting. Was it Moses or Mohammed that did the prayer bargaining with Allah in the Hadith over 50 to 5 daily prayers? I seem to remember the story as the later Prophet! hmm

        Peace

It was definetly prophet Moses because a can remember being told it by another hadith follower when I was still researching and studying about Islam before deciding to become a Muslim.
At the time I did not think much of it but whilst looking at some books at an Islamic book shop right next the local mosque after friday prayers , I came across a book that talked about what a Muslim must not do in order to avoid the hellfire and I was shocked to see it say things like listening to music, drawing and sculpture(which a love to do in my spare time),singing, pictues, cartoons, musical instuments and few other things which were NEVER mentioned as HARAAM in the Quran.

So I wondered where did these rules come from so I started researching for myself nad found out that it came from the corrupted hadith which we were never given permission to follow by either GOD or the prophet and the more I found out about the stupidity of the hadiths meant that I was no longer in two minds about becoming a Muslim.

It was then I took the proper shahada (ashadu ana la ilaha illa allah) without any witnessess (as is traditionally done) but with GOD as my witness and I thank GOD that he guided to his ingenous book the Quran but also showed me the curruption of the hadiths before some hadith follower tried to brainwash me into believing that idoitic blasphemous crap.

As if a prophet can tell GOD how many times we can or cant pray a day ;D

If you had read from the hadith followers second email, so was he when he said "that i was playing with fire", that I "had to be very, very, very carefull who i take my religion from " and when he said in a mocking tone that "you have just come to Islam yesterday", if to say that because I had not been a muslim as long as he has that I did not know what I was talking about and that he did so that was it for me and I let rip and droped bombs of knowledge on his hadith following ass.

But I also was gracious and accepted his apology. I had to be stern becuase the truth is if he does'nt GROW UP, WISE UP ,MAN UP and stop taking the piss out of his creator then he will be hellfire bound.

                The decision is his.

Like rajingajin says I am just a warner, so he's been warned.

Found it (I deleted the first bit of the story)

                    Sahih_Al-Bukhari - Bk. 8 Prayers (Salat) 1.345......

The Prophet added, 'Then Gabriel ascended with me to a place where
I heard the creaking of the pens." Ibn Hazm and Anas bin Malik
said The Prophet said, "Then Allah enjoined fifty prayers on
my followers when I returned with this order of Allah, I
passed by Moses who asked me, 'What has Allah enjoined on your
followers?' I replied, 'He has enjoined fifty prayers on
them.' Moses said, 'Go back to your Lord (and appeal for
reduction) for your followers will not be able to bear it.'
(So I went back to Allah and requested for reduction) and He
reduced it to half. When I passed by Moses again and informed
him about it, he said, 'Go back to your Lord as your followers
will not be able to bear it.' So I returned to Allah and
requested for further reduction and half of it was reduced. I
again passed by Moses and he said to me 'Return to your Lord,
for your followers will not be able to bear it. So I returned
to Allah and He said, 'These are five prayers and they are all
(equal to) fifty (in reward) for My Word does not change.' I
returned to Moses and he told me to go back once again. I
replied, 'Now I feel shy of asking my Lord again.' Then
Gabriel took me till we '' reached SidratilMuntaha (Lote
tree of; the utmost boundary) which was shrouded in colors,
indescribable. Then I was admitted into Paradise where I found
small (tents or) walls (made) of pearls and its earth was of

First how in the hell are Moses and Muhammed able to speak to each other when they lived over a thousand years apart from each other ? confusednope
Second after the reducing the original fifty prayers by half (25) the are reduced by half again (12.5), I mean no wonder they had to keep reducing them I mean how can anyone do twelve AND a half prayers a day? hmm
And third why would Muhammad be shy about about asking GOD to reduce the 5 daily prayers to less when he obviously was not the too shy to ask the previous times?.
You would think that by the time they had the reduced the fifty prayers a day to five prayers a day that Muhammed would have overcome his shyness.

I told you it was a stupid hadith laugh

It seems that 'well how do you pray, you need the hadiths to do that' is the FIRST thing a traditional Muslim will say.
It's like they've been programmed to say that.

Interestingly, the hadith does not exactly tell you how to pray or at least I could not find it. If anyone with knowledge of the hadith can point out how the sunni or shia prayers (namaz) is performed in the hadith then I stand to be corrected. But this is a common questions asked by main stream muslims, claiming the Quran asks us to pray but does not outline how and the hadith fills the gaps as to speak.

                          Peace

If thay actually know their Quran , there is no way they could not know how to pray using the Quran alone.
I mean GOD makes it very simple when he says in the Quran that we should STAND, BOW, POSTRATE,NOT ASCRIBE ANY PARTNERS TO HIM (as in pray in the name of Jesus or mention Muhammad alongside GOD) and PRAY TO HIM AND GLORIFY HIM ALONE.
Anything else as in length of prayer or how many times we stand, bow and postrate I think GOD has left to up the person praying otherise he would have mentioned it since the Quran is fully detailed.
We also know the the Muhammad prayed using the Quran alone because the way he prayed was the SAME WAY prophet Abraham prayed because in the Quran GOD says that it was Abraham who was first given, Salaat, fasting, the hajj and zakaat and it is ONLY the Quran that details this and not any Hadith.

So if the Hadith followers ask how do you pray the way Muhammed prayed using the Quran Alone, tell them to pray the way prophet Abraham prayed as described in the Quran because thats who Muhammed (along with all the other prophets before him) followed and he did not pray any different from them.
