Good advice Leyna. I'd like to add islam is very simple. It's all about bringing God into our lives. We do that by bringing good into the world. This is all it's about. Everything else is fluff. You don't even need Quran for that but still, its the best map I've ever known.

    Assalamu alaikum
This is one of the best advises yet but all has quality. I have been looking at Quor'an only sites and doing more reading. My impression is this concert is as extreme as Salafism> A good analogy would be in politics the extreme right and left, of Fascism and Communism. When you find jargon being used you know all is not well. They talk about being 'God Only' there is many religions that are God Only Judaism and the Walpiri (Indigenous people of Central Australia) the latter probably is more so. Why are they calling themselves 'Submitters' what is wrong with the correct English word 'Muslim'. I defy anyone to so otherwise by showing me an English dictionary that does not have Muslim in it. I would also say to such people, yes the word is Arabic but take out of the non English words and we would not have a workable English language.
Because our awareness of Allah is a personal one we must find that relationship with Allah in our own hearts. When we go to the Mosque to pray, we pray to Allah in the company of our brothers and sisters. I have just prayed Fajr and after the Tasleem the imam chanted all this Sufi stuff that I sat there and ignored but still giving respect.
No trying to form another division within Islam on the idea that this is getting back to the original concept is joining the Salafis who say the same thing.
Finally I am shocked to see some very odd translations of the Qur'an . What is wrong with Abdullah Yusuf Ali and Mohamed Asad.
No Qur'an Only - God Only what every you want to call it is not for me. I wish you well in your search.
    Wa salaam

      Peace

Why are they calling themselves 'Submitters' what is wrong with the correct English word 'Muslim'.

What's in a name? You can call yourself whatever you like. You can't say that the correct English word is 'Muslim' because muslim is an Arabic word. The English translation is Submitter, which is actually an adjective not a noun.

Finally I am shocked to see some very odd translations of the Qur'an . What is wrong with Abdullah Yusuf Ali and Mohamed Asad.

You can choose whatever translation you like but you need to remember to double check some meaning yourself to make sure as there are some meanings translators themselves never agree on. Here is a good tool http//www.studyquran.co.uk/PRLonline.htm

No Qur'an Only - God Only what every you want to call it is not for me.

So you don't believe that Quran is enough and complete?
No God only either? Do you have someone to associate God with?

When God has given us this name Muslim and we all have full consensus, and all non-muslims also easily understand that name, then why to invent new name like submitter or anything like that??? It shows that they are not happy with the name God has given them!

God didn't give the name. God gave the description.

wrong. I'm Arabic and this word is a noun .

the adjective of this noun is Islamey or Mosalim . and those are the description .

                    try to read this verse

                    ('' '' )78

And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Ibrahim. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector, the best to protect and the Best to help!

Most of the Arabs like the subcontinent are fascinated with what Persia had given to people, naively ignoring the complaint which is particularly and exclusively against them
