Dear Zulu, you assume wrongly sir. I pray as any other muslim prays because thats how I was taught to pray, the 'ritual' as all other muslims do.

I suppose I would have to do it how everyone there says is 'the right way' but in my heart I wouldnt believe the rituals were 'right', so not much point in thinking of doing it unless some things change really. Also the whole thing I would have to go through getting a 'paper' of proof I am muslim as I didnt get one before I left UK and the Saudi's dont allow people they dont think are right to enter mecca, which I also think is wrong!

there is a contradiction in your post. you said for the first paragraph that you pray as all Muslims pray and that you did this ritual act every day as Muslims do, so I supposed that you pray five times a day with Watar and shafe3.
and then you said that Hajj you don't believe that, its ritual are not right and you know that all Muslims do the ritual in Hajj the same way that every Muslim will do. so why you practice the prayer ritual and you'll not practice the Hajj ritual(as all Muslims again).
by the way you don't believe in something, you don't do it / so in your case you're hypocrite . in hadith there is how to pray but you're rejecting hadith , so why do you pray like us ?.

there is no contradiction in my post if you can read it properly. I pray as I was taught, although now i do omit the references to Muhammed mostly in my 'ritual' prayer. I have not been taught how to do hajj therefore I wouldnt do it as taught.
Not all muslims pray the same exactly either, it depends on how they were taught. My husband doenst do it exactly like me and vise versa. I said regarding hajj that I dont think running around the hills is right, I did not say walking round the kabba is not right, I did say kissing the black stone is not right.

Your post is so clear, you don't believe in the ritual of Muslims in praying, but you pray like them because you taught that >>> is this sounds good for you ? or you're in a confusion (I don't know why they pray 4 rak'aht in the noon prayer, but I will do because they do = that's an act of Parrot).

ah by the way salat is one thing, God named salat because it's a connexion between God and his slaves and between the slaves theirseleves, so it must be common the same you do it the same way others do it.

read again what I said regarding worship and the difference I stated between ritual prayer and worship.

              Dear Ayisha

              Many thanks for your reply.

Having read your post regarding the way you pray and the way you will most probably do Hajj when the time comes, you really are no different to the people (traditionalists) you choose not to associate with. Am I right to assume that the only change you have made in prayer is that you do not mention Prophet PBUH's name whilst you are seated, rather you recite different portions of the Quran. Ok. Cool. No problem, but you do Qiyaam, Rukoo, and Sujood in a ritualistic manner i.e. units/rakats.

And with Hajj, you will most probably do it the same way as the masses do without the kissing of the black stone and you will try not to walk between Safa and Marwa. Ok. Cool. But you will once again utilise info and practices bar a few, from what the masses (traditionalists) currently do at Hajj.

Sister, despite what you say, you have more in common with the masses than you think!

              Peace

No, what you said is an act of Parrot, because Parrot immitates the person speech and he don't know why, the same as you do, you taught how to pray but you don't know why you pray this way.

for the common salat in Muslims community is to keep them together in a good manner like a " ", so it's not an act of Parrot because we know why .

so you don't know, the question why you do things you don't know the reasons of doing them? Parrot's act.

that is parroting also but you are saying if you know the reasons of doing it its not parroting. The reason you pray as you do is because you have been told thats how the prophet prayed, thats parroting.

which prophet? Quran says that Abraham prayed in an acceptable way should I follow him? Muhammed followed him too.

Realistically you have no idea how any prophets prayed unless its in Quran.

I was talking to another person and my claim is not for you, so between brackets this is not your business .

This is a public discussion forum, so you can't brush someone off by telling them to stay out of the conversation. If you want to have a conversation in private without anyone interfering, I suggest you use the PM feature.

And, no, this is not off topic. You were the one who brought this up. Why? Your intention was to prove to us that you are so incredibly knowledgeable and that you have explained Islam to hundreds of people. So the ones on here not agreeing with you must be wrong.

Just as you keep claiming that you're receiving lots of PMs asking you questions and that there are supposedly lots of people out there following your advice.
                                      )
All this is mumbo-jumbo, uttered with the intention to impress people who are obviously very unimpressed with your supposed knowledge and credentials.

I don't like lying, exaggerating, and boasting. And the last time I checked, this was supposed to be un-Islamic too. But it is exactly what you are doing. If what you wrote was true and you were seriously interested in passing on knowledge, you wouldn't tell people that you've already sufficiently answered thousands of questions, boast that you are something like an officially recognized Islam teacher in some mysterious other forum, yet refuse to post a link to where you did that. A bit dodgy, if you ask me ...

Fact is -- most likely your attempts at "explaining Islam" went the same as here. People were questioning your claims and arguing with you and not happy with your discussion style and frequent resort to personal insults. And that's what you're afraid / too ashamed to show.

I didn't brush anyone off , I just pointed out that the conversation is between me and him with personnal things which are not their business, plus you're digging in ancient replies . why ? I'm guessing " put me on shame " or show people that this guy is wrong and rude /and I thing there are other aims for doing that but let me remind you I don't care and I proved that you're not different from the ennemies of Islam .

And, no, this is not off topic. You were the one who brought this up. Why? Your intention was to prove to us that you are so incredibly knowledgeable and that you have explained Islam to hundreds of people. So the ones on here not agreeing with you must be wrong.

I don't need to prove anything about me to you or to anyone else, but in fact I proved and still that you are wrong and that's the important thing , a knoweldge based in nothing .

Just as you keep claiming that you're receiving lots of PMs asking you questions and that there are supposedly lots of people out there following your advice.

well, you should begin ask people .

All this is mumbo-jumbo, uttered with the intention to impress people who are obviously very unimpressed with your supposed knowledge and credentials.

do I know you to impress you ? I'm not even interested in who you are so why I'm looking for impressing you!! weird .I think you want to impress that you know something which is ni fact nothing .

I don't like lying, exaggerating, and boasting.

those are your characters, and I add " pretending knowledge ".

And the last time I checked, this was supposed to be un-Islamic too.

why do you know about Islamic things ?

But it is exactly what you are doing. If what you wrote was true and you were seriously interested in passing on knowledge, you wouldn't tell people that you've already sufficiently answered thousands of questions, boast that you are something like an officially recognized Islam teacher in some mysterious other forum, yet refuse to post a link to where you did that. A bit dodgy, if you ask me ...

hahaha, woow you're so intersted in that forum , well keep it in your mind you'll not have it. so brickwall/
I wasn't Islam teacher , I debate in Islam or in anything else using Islam, so live with this mystery. elektro

Fact is -- most likely your attempts at "explaining Islam" went the same as here. People were questioning your claims and arguing with you and not happy with your discussion style and frequent resort to personal insults.

happy or not is their problems, I gave the information with a straight manner of talking, I'm not here to flatter anyone, and disgreeing with someone without knowledge, will make him talk with sharpness which you'll consider it as rude acts .

And that's what you're afraid / too ashamed to show.

hahahaha, you don't know me, so keep imaging me, and don't forget draw me in the end of your false picture of me.

This reply to a question I asked IS a brush off, and one of many
"No, sorry / what's the point of even write a word for you, you don't deserve it ."

we dont all sit here and reply right away to a topic, many of us read topics that are old and say what we have to say. There is no time limit in replying to a topic that im aware of.

and I thing there are other aims for doing that but let me remind you I don't care and I proved that you're not different from the ennemies of Islam .
I must have missed that 'proof'

Your show of 'knowledge' and your repeated 'I know better than you' all across this board to everyone show you are trying to impress someone, but failing at every turn. You dont have to know someone to try to impress them.

those are your characters, and I add " pretending knowledge ".
you have repeatedly shown these to be your character, Leyna by contrast has shown to be very knowledgeable and has nver refused to manage a balanced reply with references to how she arrived at that, you have not managed that once as far as I have read.

why do you know about Islamic things ?
Please show us where lying boasting and exaggerating ARE islamic qualities

I know the forum, I agree with leyna. You dont debate here you insist you are right even when proof you are wrong has been shown you. You are unable to debate or discuss without resorting to childish name calling and tantrums of refusing to answer questions saying the questioner 'doesnt deserve it', how grown up, what wonderful debating skills.

happy or not is their problems, I gave the information with a straight manner of talking, I'm not here to flatter anyone, and disgreeing with someone without knowledge, will make him talk with sharpness which you'll consider it as rude acts .
You have not shown knowledge in my opinon and having someone disagree with you on some points does not give you the right to be rude or sharp.

hahahaha, you don't know me, so keep imaging me, and don't forget draw me in the end of your false picture of me.

more blurb that means nothing given in a manner of 'I am better than you are'
