Abu Hurairah's 3rd Law of Ahadeeth For every hadeeth, there is an equal and opposite ahadeeth.

Go find it and cite it to them!

    I have found that too!

I always ask' where is that in Quran' then if the reply is 'its in hadith' I reply' I follow Gods words not mans'

you will find that traditional Muslims can be very cruel in picking out what 'you' may be doing wrong in their eyes but never look at what they do as wrong according to Allah and Quran. It will become amusing eventually

Aha, Really, I prefer the answer of Sarah but yours definitely will make a war between him and her .

P.S the question is for you and Sarah as well, Do you know the difference between Hadith Sahih and Hadith wich is Isnaad Sahih ? The answer Yes or No

Well, I guess you never experience being told in your face that you'll be going to hell for doing something you believe in. For her, she doesn't even ask her friend's opinions (and I believe she has been very peaceful), and she gets confronted like that. For me, I'd rather STAND UP for what I believe in, thank you.

I thought I have answered your question previously. But obviously you 'somehow' missed that. YES, I know the difference between the two.

If you really know the difference between the two, you'll know that the first is an obligation, so any rejecting of it, is as rejecting the Islam . Go figure.

I'll posit that rejecting "Islam" the proper noun with all its attachments, connotations and presuppositions is a very different thing to rejecting the path of our creator.

Birds, planets, flies, ants, none of these rely on ahadeeth. They all follow a rule of inherent certainty whereby there is no doubt whatsoever as to the path that they will take through time and space. Why should we, as humans with free will, settle for any less? A gnat is more in tune with allah's way than any supposed "Muslim" for it does not follow any conjecture, it takes the truth from its eternal creator and uses it.

And if you really know the Qur'an, then you'll know that you are forbidden from taking any other patron besides God. Go figure.

As a side note, I am done with you. I know what you are like and your attitude. Let's just say we have our differences. I believe what I believe, and you believe what you believe. I just don't get why you're wasting your time here, when you think we're "blind", "lacking knowledge" etc. I don't know why you choose to continue stalking this forum when you know your efforts are vain anyway. Don't you have better things to do anyway?

Make peace. Unto you your works, unto me my works. Salaamun 'Alaikum.

Peace, I doubt thereformer1 will bring anyone back to being a sunni or shia muslim here or revert any muslims to sunni islam who reverted to Qur'an only islam. I think he just likes to debate, weather or not most of us, so it seems, thinks he's wasting his time. It'd be less entertaining without him here & whatever anyone thinks of him he is our akhi.

My friends are not aware that I'm not a Sunni any more and if it wasn't for my seriously biting my tongue, by now we'de have had several arguments. I was with a friend who converted a while back and she looked at me and asked if I'd changed my eyebrows, (now, even when I was Sunni I followed the opinion that it was re-shaping the brow that was wrong and not the removal of random hairs that weren't necessarily a part of the brow) and I replied Yes to her. So she looked at me with a funny look and said, 'You know that's wrong, now Allah's curse is upon you' and I was so baffled and in fact quite angry about this whole episode that I just didn't say anything I didn't even discuss the alternate opinion. I think I just mumbled something but with a look so stern on my face that she didn't retort. I didn't only find it extremely unnecessary seeing as we were in a public place, it was also condescending and plain rude. Several times during the day she'd made unnecessary comments of the like such as mentioning the length of my jumper and that my arms were showing? I was already quite aware of that.

How do you deal with such situations when you're still 'in the closet' so to speak, about your beliefs?

I've had several situations like this. I told a friend that I was thinking of taking off the Hijab and her response was that I will be Satan's bride on the day of judgement. giveup

                                      Peace,
                                      Respectfully.

Always ask for proof from The Quran. The first thing is that they will run to the books written by unknown men signed as Bukhary an Muslim and then you can fire away with 7185, 316, 3923, 456, 5234, 6844, 7750.

This alone should get a person to think, especially is s/he speaks /understands Arabic.
                                      God bless you.

During my time in Leicester, i've got to know many sunnis and they all still know me and can't believe i reject their hadith books even after i give them the evidence.

                                      Peace.
