We do not need to believe anymore, we need to know. The belief was needed many years ago.... Now all prophets are done, it is like THE MISSION IS COMPLETE!!
Sort of agreed...
4914 The Nomads said "We believe." Say "You have not believed; but you should say "We have submitted", for belief has not yet entered into your hearts." If you obey GOD and His messenger, He will not put any of your works to waste. GOD is Forgiver, Merciful.

The verse implies belief > submission doesn't it?

The verse implies belief > submission doesn't it?
Belief may be more advanced than submission. Is it possible to believe without submitting? AQ 4914 implies that belief should be build upon submission. Another way of thinking about it is that belief is NOT required for a positive outcome on JD (submission may suffice, ISA).
Belief is not a "free pass" into paradise, either.
390 Those who have rejected after their belief, then increased in rejection, their repentance will not be accepted, they are the strayers.
3100 O you who believe, if you obey a group of those who received the Book they will turn you after your belief into rejecters!
3177 Those who have purchased rejection with belief will not harm GOD in the least, and they will have a painful retribution.

There are many religions, but there is only one ALLAH. Would it be better for a monotheist to embrace any religion other than Islam, or to "embrace" atheism or agnosticism? hmm
A religion is good if it helps a person to embrace monotheism and do good works. Other than that, monotheism without religion suffices. More religion is a "larger net" to "catch more fish".
3022 And from His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your tongues and your colors. In that are signs for the world.
262 Surely those who believe; and those who are Jewish, and the Nazarenes, and the Sabians, whoever of them believes in GOD and the Last Day and does good works; they will have their recompense with their Lord, and there is no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.
One of the more beautiful examples that I've read is that faith is like a sail. A sail without wind will not move anything; the sail is dependent upon wind. If faith is like a sail, ALLAH is the provider of the wind for the sail. Our faith/belief/prayers/rituals/etc do not compel/obligate ALLAH; we are fully dependent on the goodwill of ALLAH whether we recognize it or not.
May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

Faith, prayers and rituals are not Islamic. From those only belief is.
And the true Islam imo is the polar opposite of a religion, it's a Deen, a perfect system of life. -

Faith, prayers and rituals are not Islamic. From those only belief is.
And the true Islam imo is the polar opposite of a religion, it's a Deen, a perfect system of life. What do you mean by "Islamic?" I agree that islam (little i) is a Deen. However, anything that assists a person in this Deen is allowed (unless the assistance is expressly forbidden)--but the assistance is not binding/compulsory.
16116 And do not say, as to what your tongues falsely describe "This is lawful, and that is forbidden;" that you seek to invent lies about GOD. Those who invent lies about GOD will not succeed.
Even if prayers are not required, neither are they forbidden. It is best left to the individual to comply with their best understanding.

Prayers are basically idol worshipping. Not only the act is a worship, you're praying to an idol ( a god, something Allah is not, Allah is higher than that ) but you're also believing the inventions of men so I don't see why it's not prohibited for a Muslim, no, rather, a Muslim wouldn't do it because a Muslim would know the truth
And why did you quote that verse? I'm not the one saying lies here
-
Actually maybe it should be you who should actually quote the Quran for anything you promote, from your lofty description of God to what you say above.
And no, cutting and pasting opinions of others does not constitute quoting the Quran.
Also, apparently, all those prophets, messengers and people whom God calls Honorable and Righteous in the Quran all prayed and God even recorded their prayers for us to read, yet they are all fools and idolators and "muslims" who didn't know the truth about praying or who God was, according to you.
Brilliant.

11 In the name of GOD, the Almighty, the Merciful.
12 Praise be to GOD, Lord of the worlds.
13 The Almighty, the Merciful.
14 Sovereign of the Day of Judgment.
15 You alone we serve, and You alone we seek for help.
16 Guide us to the straight path.
17 The path of those You have blessed, not of those who have incurred the wrath, nor the misguided. How do people seek help? What difference does it make to a believer how another person chooses to do this?
Although I prefer to use the word ALLAH instead of GOD, the words refer to the same when used properly. ALLAH knows those who believe in whatever language.
17110 Say "Call on GOD or call on the Almighty; by whichever you call on, to Him are the best names." And do not be too loud in making your contact prayer, nor too quiet; but seek a path in between.
2267 For every nation We have established rites which they are to fulfill. So do not let the matter fall into dispute. And call upon your Lord, for you are on a guidance which is straight.
494 O you who believe, if you go forth in the cause of GOD, you shall investigate carefully. And do not say to those who greet you with peace "You are not a believer!" You are seeking the vanity of this world; but with GOD are many riches. That is how you were before, but GOD graced you, so investigate carefully. GOD is expert over what you do.
@Kaiokenred I neither claimed that what you said was truth or lie or some combination thereof. If the shoe fits, wear it. I'm not being sly; there is truth in Scripture.

Can't you people understand the Quran IS changed and the translations are utterly wrong and affected by hadiths?
When you find the original Quran preserved in a tablet and have proof that salat truly means prayer or Allah really tells us to do rites then you can claim you're wrong. All we can do now and have chances of being accurate is using reasoning to conclude the meanings, quoting a corrupted Quran with corrupted translations isn't going to help you change my mind or win the argument.

Knowledge comes before Belief.
Experience comes before Understanding.
Religion and School today, kill their own people by installing beliefs before knoweldge, and imposing understandings before actual Experience of God.
All prophets, first had Experience then believed. Something happened to them beyond their expectations, that enabled them to see the Reality. Then of course absolute belief in Absolute Lord, followed.
Here's the light from the Qura'n that confirms this
37 He is the One who sent down to you the Book, from which there are firm revelations; they are the essence of the Book; and others which are similar. As for those who have a disease in their hearts, they will follow what is similar from it seeking to confuse, and seeking to derive an interpretation.
But none know its interpretation except God, and those who are well founded in knowledge; they say ?We believe in it, all is from our Lord.? And none will remember except those who possess intelligence.
See, first knowledge, then they say ?We believe in it, all is from our Lord.?
Believing without knownig is hypnosis.
Know first.
God is the Real Knowing. That's why focus in Him, brings knowledge.
Peace,

To those who have knowledge is referred to the people of the book I think, i.e. to the Jews. They are the only ones who have real knowledge.
It is impossible to understand the Qur'an without very, but very well knowing the Torah inside out -
Peace be within you also, Rinon
Well done, RH. It took me a couple of days drafting a reply to your truthful post. I'm only a technician and a follower, the Religion of Truth, been on the road for Truth for nearly two decades now. But what you have written clearly shows that inspirations bestowed on those who seek Truth from the Source of Truth, no matter who we are, we the created matter to the Creator, the One God the Cherisher, the Sustainer.
The Book, the Message, the introductions, the instructions, the guidance to the One God, the Most Compassionate Most Merciful, sadly mankind never really try to comprehend His Compassion and His Mercy to all His creations. According to each of our abilities.
A few verses from the Book of Truth
2148 To each is a goal to which the One God turns him; then strive together towards all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, God will bring you together. For the One God hath power over all things.
5105 O ye who believe! guard your own souls if ye follow guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who stray. The goal of you all is to the One God it is He that will show you the Truth of all that ye do.
6164 Say "Shall I seek for Cherisher other than God, when He is the Cherisher of all things? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards to the One God He will tell you the Truth of the things wherein ye disputed."
4213 The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - that which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus namely, that ye should remain steadfast in Religion, and make no divisions therein to those who worship other things than God, hard is to which thou callest them. The One God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn to Him.
4214 And they became divided only after knowledge reached them, through selfish envy as between themselves. Had it not been for a Word that went forth before from thy Lord, to a Term appointed, the matter would have been settled between them but truly those who have inherited the Book after them are in suspicious doubt concerning it.
4215 Now then, for that, call and stand steadfast as thou art commanded, nor follow thou their vain desires; but say "I believe in the Book which our Lord has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. The One God is our Lord and your Lord for us our deeds, and for you for your deeds, there is no contention between us and you. The One God will bring us together, and to Him is final goal."5043 Verily it is We Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Goal,
5342 That to thy Lord is the final Goal;
643 He has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape, and made your shapes beautiful and to Him is the final Goal.
Before ending a new beginning, let me ask
If you were at the destination, what kind of journey would you take?
Praise be to GOD. The Lord of the worlds.
Nothing exists, except God.
Peace, Rinon Hoxha. August, 2010.
Allow me to try answer your question, RH
Praises be to God, for I exist, I am. I am at the destination. But waiting by the gate, patiently patience, anxiously but content, waiting by the gate named Death. For every being have to pass through this gate, the gate to Reality and the One God, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful.
"Our Lord!", "let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure. "Our Lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind together against a Day about which there is no doubt; for the One God never fails in His promise."
His Peace and Love be within you, RH

Peace tauhid101,
Thank you for your thoughtful post.
True people meet God, from this world.
Once Reality tasted, everything that was secret, becomes open and sacred.
What was burdened by importance, becomes enlightened by the flow of easiness.
Once mirror of GOD, the world is clearly seen.
There are only 2 steps in one's life
- Find the Presence of GOD.
- Keep the Presence of GOD.
Most fail to pass the first one.
And only a few know how to maintain the second.
The temples are metaphor for human body.
Once only God alone iniside, nothing else remains.
Hence, Nothing exists, but GOD.
Peace be upon you, and may Love guide your Soul.
R.
