    Peace virtualeye. How do you think the prophet would deal with people who;
    a) asked 'tough',but worthy 'questions' to him...
    b) people who criticised his religion and him...
Peace all. Thank you in advance.

I like tough and worthy question which has some base and some homework.

I catch fire upon baseless lie or abuse. (no matter I am doing right or wrong).

I am not as Merciful and as Wise and as Great as He is.

So I might not be as tolerant.

    VE.

Peace virtualeye. Im sure there is a hadith stating that; 'the strong man is not the one who wrestles or overcomes people...,but the strong one is the one who controls his temper.'..
Im sure some hadith also state if one is angry they should first sit down to calm themselves, then lie down,or even do 'wudhu'...
Also i read that the greater 'jihad' is to control ones own 'nafs'...
Remember the story of ali not hurting the man who spat in his face, because he felt he would hurt that man for his own 'nafs' and not for the sake of allah...
Remeber the city of 'taif' when the people pelted the prophet with stones in response to his message.......when allah sent an angel to ask if he wanted these people punished,he stated no..
Did the prophet ever 'approve' of 'harsh' speech?
Correct me if i am wrong...
Peace all. Ps; i am not just criticising you personally,im trying to find out,and understand your views on these points.

I dont know from which station you are speaking. Sotimes you people reject Ahadith and sometimes start refering Ahadith and all historical matter. I wonder !

Peace virtualeye. I am not quran alone,or sunni...I take knowledge from whichever source i can verify is practically and morally beneficial... I am quoting these hadiths as i have come across them, and there is a lesson to be learnt from some hadiths...

                As salamu alaykum.
                Respectfully.

Hi, my name is Alen, i'm from Slovenia. me and my brother are the only ones who follow Qur'an alone in Slovenia. There are a little less then 50.000 muslims here, all sunni and the fact that just me and my brother are the only ones who follow Qur'an alone, is something that scares me.

I began my search for Islam in 1997 since my parents were never into religion that much. Communism was brainwashing all of the people in the balcans so my parents weren't allowed to express themselves when they were in Bosnia and when they moved here, they abandoned religion alltogether.

In 1999 i started praying and i was a good muslim. A sunni muslim. But in 1994 i ran into several articles, specifically the one entitled A DOZEN REASONS TO FOLLOW QUR'AN ALONE. That was the turning point in my life. That's when i started Islam anew.

Now i'm happier then ever, i just wish to get married but it's difficult to marry sunni or shi'a musli here let alone to get accepted by them just because i don't follow hadith and sunna. And they themselves don't follow hadith, sunna or the Qur'an, yet they expect me to be like them.

Anyways, i'm glad i'm on this forum.
                God bless you all.
                As salamu alaykum.

                  Welcome to the forum!

Don't think you're alone. I used to think that too, till suddenly dozens of Quranaloners popped up everywhere in my country. Have patience and just spread the news in your surroundings...

                  Peace

                    As salamu alaykum.
                    Respectfully.

Hi, my name is Alen, i'm a writer/movie director from Slovenia.
I remember when i was in school and i wasn't all that religious. My parents came from Bosnia in the late 60s. Slovenia was part of Yugoslavia back then and still under communism regime so not only my parents, all muslims in Yugoslavia were not allowed to express their religion openly.

My parents among thousands of other muslims moved to Slovenia from Bosnia and other Yu republics.
Because my parents weren't allowed to express Islam in Bosnia, they came to Slovenia saying that Slovenia is a christian country and that it is okay if a person doesn't go by the Qur'an or the sunna and hadith.

In 1997 i read the Qur'an for the first time in my life and the first thing that i loved was Heaven. I decided in a second to fight for it. How? I learned how to pray within a few days, i learned Al-Fatiha in a few hours and slowly i was becoming a better muslim. I had to ditch most of my friends because they were at the bars, they drank alcohol, they smoked, they had trouble with the police and i have 2 relatives in the police so i had to be careful who my friends would be.

But i had so many questions. Hadith and sunna were the most difficult things for me to take in. I had questions about dozens and dozens of questions and imams had different opinions so i started my own research. I read several articles from th Internet and i printed like 400 pages about Qur'an, i read more, and the more i read i realized, something is not right with sunna and hadith. There were jkust too many things to combine.

Then, Thank God Almighty, i ran into the web page 12 REASONS TO FOLLOW QURAN ALONE. I was scared, happy and even more eager to learn about the REAL Islam. I changed. I leterally changed. I removed hadith and sunna from my daily routine, i read Qur'an more and more and understood what i didn't understand before!

2004 was the year of my change and ever since i'm much more happier. Of course, there are 50.000 muslims in Slovenia and as far as i'm concerned, i think that me and my brother are the only two guys following Qur'an alone.

                    Can you believe this?

Me and my brother are the only two in the entire Slovenia who follow Qur'an alone. We can't tell anyone, because we'd be on the street in a second. Slovenia has 2.000.000 people but even these 50.000 muslims here, even though they are sunnis, they don't follow sunna and hadith, nor Qur'an. First they would need to find out what they are, to follow Qur'an alone.

                    Anyways, that's my story.
I wonder how many of us are there today.
                    As salamu alaykum.

                      Salam and welcome Alen,

I'm Maria from Sweden, in my country nearly all muslims are following sunni or shia sects. I'm not sure how many God Aloners we are but I feel ALONE with my umderstanding and that is the worst part.

But to spread the message is a good way, I use to give the address to free-minds.org and asked them to read with an openmind and not judge too fast.

I use to get the responds later that the site and its owner must work with Israel and a way to destroy Islam, hmm why they must always blame Israel for everything!?

It's like they will never look themselves in the mirror >

I have a friend who is shia muslim and we have fun together but when it's come to religion we are like cat and dog. He only rabbling about his Imam Sistani, like he don't have any own opinions confused, I advice him to start to think on his own and that it is a reason to why God have created a big brain for us, to use it and not be like parrots.

I know it's very hard work to convince people about God Alone, but to stay calm and don't lose faith even if they try to smare you is a big test that we must pass.

Don't give up Brother, there will hopefully be more God Alone people in Slovenia, just be patient and keep up the good work.

                      Peace Sis Maria

thanks for the belated welcome loool

i too find it lonely but even finding quran alone people doesnt make you feel less lonely as some of those too are not on the same level as you in some cases or revert back to old ways it is frustrating but now i understand

"u cant change hearts, no matter how close u r to a person, u can't make them see what u see, make them learn what u learn... u have to wait patiently for them to learn through their individually prescribed destinies"

                          Thanks Maria.
Maybe in a few years i'll meet some more Qur'an-alone followers.
I do believe that we need to talk more often of this and more openly and not be afraid of others for taking our stand, because once we show that we are serious in our religion, the others will want to ask us why have we chosen to follow such a religion.

                          As salamu alaykum.

I tried to follow mainstream Islam. I spent most of my waking life worrying about whether I had done anything other Muslims could censure me for (apparently a highly satisfying pastime for many.) It seemed that there was always another fine point of law and ritual that one overlooked. This toadying to the hypercritical seemed indeed odd in a faith that professes allegiance to Allah alone. All the more odd, given the tenuous reliability of the whole corpus of hadith and the Prophet's own repeated insistence in the Quran that he was but a messenger. This site cones as a welcome relief. I can pray to Allah again, not the community of the alleged faithful.

Reading your story about how you were shia then salafi, sunni then Christian really sounded familiar. I believe many of us who came to Islam from a Christian upbringing can relate to it. Especially the confusion that came with learning the other aspects of Islam. Allah says in the Quran "Which of my favors will you then deny" and I always remember this verse when approaching my Islam. Should I deny that Allah is guiding me to this path when all of his signs are abseloutly clear. The confusion of the so called Sunnah is proof that we should stay away from it and walk towards the path of the rightous, not the path of those who went astray (those who try to make Islam a negative religion). Alhamdoolilah you fount Islam and your story was another Favor (or Sign) for me to look upon with utter amazement.. May Allah always continue to guide you to do whats best in your heart.

BTW Ansar, Submission has been around since Adam Since Allah says in the Quran that he instructed Adam to BOW. We are Muslims just like Adam was a Muslim. Submitting to the will of Allah swt

Nice story. I'm kinda in the same position. But to me I even find many other things strange.
