Salat = Meetings or Link , and has nothing to do with prayer.

Salaat is that which prevents evil deeds...meaning salaat is that which CHANGES your behavior.
Salaat refers to PROGRAMMING of the subconcious(nafs), which is the only way behavior is changed.
The programming(salaat) of the subconcious is best acheived in the meditation brain wave state, which is the twilight state between awake(day) and sleep(night), which is why the timing of salaat is dawn and dusk (times where day and night merge.
Intriguing. Evening and morning are tipping points. Morning getting ready for real life; Evening getting ready for dream life.

I should think that this is Karaite Jewish prayer, although many Jews pray like this also, but only mostly in Israel, the rest , just on Yom Kippur.

Very likely then salat is not really a physical ritual prayer. After all, so many false Judeo-Chrisitian teachings made their way into Islam and what's not to say this is one of them, especially considering they aim it at an object on Earth despite that mainstream Islam considers someone being in front of you whilst you're praying implies you're worshipping them!
